I know how much patience it takes me to edit my RU-vid videos of '50s-'60s music cruises and TCM Classic Film Festivals that my sweetheart and I have attended, so I greatly appreciate the time it takes you to put together your very informative videos!
This is Lori and Rod! Thank you so much Paula and Dale for the shout out with the room tour at Aria and our Happy Bee products at the end. It was an absolute pleasure meeting you both. We see you have made your 30,000 goal!! Congratulations to you both! Keep up the great work. ADDENDUM: I ordered the Aria fragrance from Aroma Retail and just received it. Simultaneously we both said "Oh ya...that's it!" It takes you right there!!
They expect a tip in a place that can't be bothered to take your order in person? Overpriced fast food. I walked in and walked out opening weekend. You were very kind. I think a meal at Lemongrass was close to the same price. . The rooms and property are lovely. Thank you!!
That is so funny you guys brought up the scent at the end. I was telling my wife as soon as you walked in the front at the start of the vlog, I said to her "Aria has a certain smell and is so fresh that it kinda wakes you up and it's really unique" and now I can have that at home. Thanks!
Once again you have widened my world! 40+ years of visiting LV, yet have never gone to Aria. Gonna change that with my next trip. It looks like the Aria lobby displays need to be on my "must see" list with every visit just as the Bellagio Conservatory is - and how nice of MGM to have a tram connecting them! I'll pass on the food hall in favor of Bobby's Burgers smokehouse bbq burger...but it's still good to know whats available around town. Thanks D & P for another great vlog!
They picked the best couple to show the suite. The food looked good, the two sandwiches were way to high for the average senior. I enjoyed you two the most!
Hi Paula and Dale; thank you so much for this Aria video tour! Sixty dollars for a burger and chicken sandwich is literally nothing short of highway robbery! I have noticed that Vegas is really getting out of control with pricing on everything. I think that Corporate is literally trying to recover their losses during the Pandemic! Sad. Thank you and have a great week! CAB😊
I mean, what do you think the rent is to have a restaurant in that casino? The Aria is a proper 5 Star resort serving primarily top ten percenters.. there’s plenty of affordable eats in Vegas but they’re well away from the 5 star resorts.
My last trip to Vegas was staying at the Aria. Lovely place. I ate at the buffet a couple times and I’d much rather have that then the overhyped food court that is Proper Eats. Food halls are nothing new to Vegas. I ate at one in Caesars’ Palace back in 1991. And several resorts had them at the time, they just called them food courts and were populated by fast food chains. Caesars’ had no names but had a Chinese, Japanese, burger, pizza and a deli. I prefer buffets. Greater variety and more food for a similar or lower price.
When I saw this, I immediately smiled. Aria is our home away from home. We were there just two weeks ago. You guys really did it justice! Aria is a stunning property. And to think, we never made it to the mezzanine level to try Proper Eats. I guess there is always next time. Bravo, guys, another excellent video! 👏
We recently vacationed in Vegas/Laughlin when we met you both passing thru The Park. It was so nice to meet you. You are both so kind. Green Bay, WI loves you! Great videos!
Hi Paula and Dale. I was fortunate enough to spend time at the Aria the first time I visited Las Vegas in 2016. I wanted to let you know that the Aria Resort & Casino was built by the firm of Argentine-American architect Cesar Pelli in 2009, the ARIA Resort & Casino is widely credited for changing the Las Vegas skyline as one of the first non-themed hotels on The Strip. Saludos desde Buenos Aires, Argentina. Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina, to you 2, a lovely couple, and to all the followers of this amazing channel. Silvana & Daniel.
I loved this video. The room tour was great, thanks for showing us, because I do not think we will ever be able to stay there!!! However, it is on me an Tina's list to stay at Aria sometime. The food looked great, and the prices are steep, but I guess its Vegas. I can remember staying in Las Vegas back in 1982. Me, my brother Bruce, and my cousin Wade, who is more like a brother than a cousin stayed at the RV park at Circus Circus. We ate the buffet one night, I believe it was like $3 or $4. I was only 21 and man, I thought that was wonderful and we ate so much! Take Care my dear friends! Awesome video
Wow, that’s a wonderful tour. Pretty casino & I luv that your friends allowed the tour. That’s the best idea ever. Dale I gave up burgers for chicken sandwiches years ago😻👍. Your enthusiasm from Vegas brings me back every time😎🍀⭐⭐
Love the Aria, enjoy the light coming through you don't see that to often in a casino. Las Vegas is getting so expensive even the airfare is nuts . I hope i can make it out there again soon. Thanks for sharing Cheers 🥂🥂
Fabulous video, once again. I was at the Aria 2 weeks ago and loved all that I saw. I didn't see some of the areas that you both took us viewers through. So nice to see them through your video. I will have to make plans to see it when I return to Vegas. As for the food prices at these MGM Resort restaurants, that is something I can't get over. There are many other reasonably price restaurants around the Strip, although they are getting tougher to find. Thanks again for the beautiful and information packed video. Well done.
I've had great trips and not-so-great trips to Vegas. Staying at the Aria was our very worst trip ever. Nice place but the staff, especially those at the check-in desk were absolute pr*cks. They made our stay a very stressful and rotten one. We left the hotel with a very sour taste in our mouths and vowed to never return and have kept our promise ever since. That, however, does not detract from the quality and entertainment value of your video. Superb photography and narration, top-notch editing, and an overall valiant effort on your part to bring us on a tour of the place. It indeed isn't cheap but the quality of the hotel supersedes the cost IMHO. Thanks for yet another masterpiece and bring on the next one.
I have to concur. My wife and I stayed at Aria for the first time in April and although the resort itself is very nice and well maintained, the customer service experience was disappointing to say the least. I guess it was too much to expect a smile, manicured nails, and a friendly "Welcome to the Aria" from the front desk clerk at check-in but apparently it's the standard. The waitstaff at Jean-Georges Steakhouse seemed equally uninterested. Almost all of the resort technology (e.g., room controls, ordering drinks poolside via app, quick check-out kiosk) was inoperative. To be fair, we did enjoy the Lobby Bar very much (I highly recommend the Negroni). We ended up staying at Bellagio a few days later and, compared to Aria, the customer service experience was night and day.
@@chrisd2076 Haven't been to Aria, but I still remember the down-home smile and friendliness at the check-in at Bellagio. Note- I heard that it also helps to be generous with a smile when checking in or whatever. I am pretty sure I was smiling when I was checking in to the (WOW) Bellagio.
Paula you did a great Eva Gabor! I love the flower arrangements everywhere and those dandelions were beautiful! I always wondered what those crooked yellow buildings were. Aria is gorgeous!
I love the “Food Hall” concept. As a family of 4, we all could order something from a totally different cuisine and share. Very cool…thanks for exploring this hotel and all that it offers 😊
Thanks for the great look at the Aria. Not having doors right on the sidewalk on The Strip, such as New York New York and others, it's easy to pass by the Aria and not walk back to it. Paula, with regard to Vegas prices, I've just resigned myself to thinking of it as "Manhattan West." It's like buying food, drink, etc. when you are in New York City--prices are what they are. The only exception is hotels are still more reasonable in Vegas, because of the sheer number of rooms they have to try and fill, relative to NYC. On social media this weekend, I see that at the annual Electronic Daisy Carnival being held at the Vegas Speedway, a 20-inch pizza is 96 bucks!
Those iridescent bubbles at Aria were beautiful. They have some of the prettiest displays on the strip. Thanks for giving us a tour of that beautiful room. I’ve only stayed in the basic rooms and even those are nice compared to other basic rooms on the strip. That was a pricey meal just for two sandwiches, fries and a drink so will probably give it a skip but the bar is pretty. Can’t imagine the cocktail prices there.
Another great vlog. We love the Aria and will be staying there again in September...will even try Proper Eats and put up with the price just to try it out! It's true that there is a very distinct smell when you go in there which feels a lot fresher than you get at some other places and adds to the feeling of the elegant atmosphere. We've also booked into the Speakeasy behind the donut shop as they didn't specify a minimum spend for the night we're going...I've seen some folks say that on certain nights they want a minimum $500 spend...sheesh!
Wow! That food hall is outrageous! Those prices are ridiculous for burgers that you have to bring to your own table. There are restaurants that don't charge that much.
We've always liked the Aria, and would love to stay there one day. Last visit in 2022 we went specifically to eat at Din Tai Fung. It is so good! Agree that the lobby bar is so nice! We really need to visit more often. Two hours away, yet.... 😸
Congrats on hitting 30k Dale and Paula. While Bellagio is my favorite…Aria is a close second. I just stayed at Aria 2weeks ago in the sky suites and it was awesome . It’s such a beautiful resort. Yes some things are pricey but I found everything top notch. Cathedrale had just opened but didn’t get to it. Bardot was amazing for brunch as well as my dinner at Picasso at Bellagio. Great video as always and I loved the shout out to Green Acres and Eva Gabor Paula…very funny 😎😎😎
Even fast food can add up to $20 for two theses days. I’ve always loved Aria except no casual restaurants. So I’m very interested in the Proper Place. Congratulations on making subscriptions 30k + ! 😊
Was that really a Green Acres reference at the beginning of your video? Excellent. I tried Egghead shortly after Proper Eats Food Hall first opened. It was alright (similar to Eggslut or Sun's Out Buns Out), but overpriced for what it is (as to be expected from food on the Strip). I understand that food halls are more profitable for the resorts, but I'm not really a fan of this trend over the past few years. Block 16, Famous Foods Street Eats, Proper Eats, that new food hall in Downtown, the new one being built inside Durago Station... It's just too much of the same concept. Sure, you have more options, but with the high prices at each food stall, you aren't really saving any money over the higher quality food at a regular restaurant. I'm glad to hear the RUMOR that M Resort is rethinking their plan to put a food hall in where Studio B Buffet used to be and possibly bringing the buffet back.
Thanks for the great review. I think that Vegas has come back from the Covid downturn with a vengeance and it's back to super high prices. Not good. Hope there are still some deals here and there. :) all the best, Karla in Cali. Good luck on 30K.
The fact you can now walk from Bellagio to Park MGM without really going outside or the strip is amazing… now that they own Cosmo they extended the walk way by Vdara for direct access. No more using the pot smelling walk way on the strip to get to Cosmo now.
