My wife and I went there a couple weeks back. I got chicken shawarma from Shalom Y’all and she got Egghead. We both enjoyed the food, however the whole system of ordering on the kiosk and getting a text when your order was ready didn’t work, so my food was a little lukewarm because it sat for quite a while before I finally went to the counter to check on it.
Hey Shin the only one I comment on. Honestly I watch a ton of channels with this type of content but you are the first one I feel I will be able to watch from relatively the beginning and see you grow which I know it will grow into a successful channel which it already is. Another great video keep up the good work
The Lox bagel: did you decline tomato and lettuce or does it come with just onion? B/c I'd want onion only also. Thanks Shin! Didn't know the buffet went away.
The lox bagel shown was their standard preparation. Tomato is 50/50 for me, I gotta be in the mood. I typically prefer no lettuce also. And yes, this was the old buffet that will now only live on in our memories and social media. I think I'd prefer if the buffet came back but the food hall has some solid options and I'm already planning on going back this weekend for another shawarma so I'm not too sad about it. Thanks for watching!
Yeah, being completely honest, I'd just prefer the buffet to have come back. But food halls seem to be the thing right now. Fulton Street, Block 16, Famous Foods Street Eats, and now the Proper Eats at Aria, it's definitely a trend. I genuinely would go back for the shawarma though. One of the best I've eaten in a long time. Thanks for watching!
Thank you! A couple of options have swapped out since their opening and the making of this video. I hear the new Italian eatery that took over Shallom Y'all is very good. I hope you enjoy your trip to Vegas! Thanks for watching!
Go Team Shin! Wow! Already over 4K subs…sorry your donut did not meet your expectations, maybe next time it will be better. Can’t believe I have been watching you for a year now? Where did all the time go? I watch your channel because you are genuine and you have a humble personality and really love what you do and it shows when you share your reviews. Yay! We got the Shin Smile of approval on the Chicken Shawarma!!! You are one of the few Vegas channels I watch now. During CoVID I watched a lot more channels but I just focus of the genuine ones now to follow and want to go try the places they review. Every video you always get me to add 1-2 foods on my Vegas bucket list. Hopefully will hop on a plane soon to see Vegas if my work schedule permits😢…if we bump into you there in Vegas…dinner will be on us!!! Many wishes for a prosperous and safe 2023 for you and the channel!!! This was really cool…the whole food court in one video! Keep up the great work! Thanks for taking the time to produce this one! I know it took a lot more time and hope you didn’t feel sick trying all the food.
Thank you very much Arlene! I appreciate your support for the channel. Yes, a year can really go by in the blink of an eye. I'm happy to hear that you're resonating with my videos, and I hope you'll continue to support me in the coming year. This video was very fun to make and for the dinner portion I went with a friend who can really put some food away so I had a good portion of food, but not too crazy. Thank you for watching!
I think the morning trip took about an hour. I tossed the cereal on top of the donut but I ate the donut itself and the sandwich. I took the hashbrowns and bagels home after the bites I took for the review. Then I came back later that night with my friend who can put food away like a champ, and I think we were there for about an hour and a half.
Oh wow, the world is your oyster if you can walk 20 minutes from Aria. Ocean Prime if you want a steak. Wicked Spoon if you're feeling like a buffet. And I happen to really like Bardot Brasserie or Carbone at the Aria. I hope you have a great trip!
Thanks Shin for the review! We went here and had mixed results. The chicken shawarma was greasy and flavorless. The KFC signature sandwich at Seoul was awesome! Lola burger and onion rings were great! Wexlers Pastrami was not good overcooked and bread flaky. Egghead sausage bagel and hash brown was really great!
Consistency is definitely a big deal and I'm glad to hear you did have good food here. Unfortunate the schwarma wasn't great for you. Thanks for watching!
Thank you! I can't believe 2 years is coming up in a handful of months. I look back on my video library and hard to believe I actually made all of those videos lol. It's been a lot of work but very fun and fulfilling. Thanks for watching!
Solid choices! The burger and shawarma are both very good. I think if you stick to a non-cereal donut, you'll probably have a good time. And absolutely, I'm a huge fan of the coke machines. Thanks for watching!
I think all your videos should record more on the food than yourself. Especially if you doing a food channel. Not really a fan of watching you eat but we want to see more of the restaurants surrounding and more on the food. Thanks
Thanks for the opinion. I suggest checking out Las Vegas Eats 702 for the style of video you're looking for. I think they have a format that would resonate more with you and they're also very enjoyable to watch.
THANKS SHIN, FOR SHOWING US ALL THESE GREAT PLACES. I WILL BE IN VEGAS IN MAY AND YOU HAVE DEFINITELY SHOWN ME SOME DELICIOUS LOOKING FOOD. I CAN'T WAIT TO CHECK THESE OUT. KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK. HAPPY 2023 TO YOU😁
Happy you liked it Tracey! I hope some of my suggestions find their way into your trip in May and that you have a fabulous time! Thanks for watching and happy 2023 to you as well!
If I had to choose between the best two items from both Resorts World and Aria food courts, claypot rice wins at Resorts World every day of the week. But if you have a lot of picky eaters in your group, I think the Aria has a good variety that should cover most tastes. Only a few non-Asian locations at Resorts World. Thanks for watching!
Excellent overview and look forward to checking out your channel for more reviews. Q: can you charge to the room if a guest at Aria or any of the MGM properties? This was a frustration when at Resorts World.
U were one of the 1st RU-vidrs to cover the Proper Eats hall! We went a few wks ago, and I tried the Signature Seoul Chicken Sandwich. It was so good! Thanks for a great video!
Happy New Year Shin!!! Wishing you good health, happiness and another successful year of videos 😘🤗💙 Btw, felt bad the first thing you tried, look on your face said it all 😤😤😤
Happy new year to you as well Jade! Thank you for your support of the channel! It was unfortunate that the cereal on the donut was stale, but at least everything went up from there. Thanks for watching!
Happy one year anniversary. Always enjoy your reviews. Thank you. I would probably go for the burger and onion rings. Maybe the chicken. Hope year two is very successful for you.
Thank you very much! It's been the most enjoyable hobby of my life so far, and I'm having a great time. Lola's Burgers was a solid restaurant. I'd be good going there if I was staying at the Aria. Thanks for watching!
Happy New Year!🎉 Good review. The hash brown brick looked so good,it’s different. The chicken shawarma looked the best to me. It looks like all the restaurants use the same bun for everything but it looks delicious 😋
Happy new year to you D Motta! The cheesy hashbrown brick is honestly worth trying. Very unique and it tasted pretty good. The shawarma was so good. I'm probably going to eat it again at some point this weekend. That's interesting, I'm not sure if they do use the same buns but that is possible. I'm going to take a closer look when I go back to get another shawarma. Thanks for watching!
Too true. I would have preferred the buffet to return, but overall the Proper Eats food hall is not bad. Aria is worth visiting as a foodie between Jean George's Steak or Carbone for Italian. Din Tai Fung and Javiers are also both hot spots for good food, albeit very expensive. Thanks for watching!
interesting way to spend your time. generally food courts are made up of franchise eateries. this court did not seem to have the more familiar ones. price is a factor for most these days when selecting eats. ordering system is nice but you still go and pick up on your own or is the food delivered?
Yeah, this food court was made up of smaller chains and celebrity pop ups. Steve Aoki really seems to be getting into the food business with his pizza spot here and his yakitori location at Resorts World. You do indeed go to pick up your food at the stalls once they're ready. You receive a text message to inform you that your meal is up. Thanks for watching!
Glad you enjoyed! If the cereal on top of my donut was fresh and crunchy, that donut would have been 10/10 awesome. Such a shame. The donut and the frosting were pretty good. But once something stale goes in your mouth, nothing else can really redeem it. I thought Egghead and Wexlers had solid breakfast options. The block of hashbrowns is actually worth trying. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin I meant to say, I do appreciate how you always choose what you fancy on menus. And not the ‘it’ item or whatever. It’s really refreshing.
Another great vid! I'd say the pita looked the best, the breakfast sandwich looked good but for the price I could get 4 at McDonalds which would be just as good. When you use the word "Actually" while describing the food, I feel like you're more trying to convince yourself than me. Notice the word never comes out when it's something you like. Just give it to us straight, par and subpar food is commonplace in Vegas, no need to try to make it sound good. There is plenty of excellent food there!
Thanks Ed! Pita was fantastic. The breakfast sandwich price is pretty standard for the strip nowadays. I'm a pretty straight shooter when it comes to my tastes. But it can sometimes take extra time for my brain to formulate a description, and I don't always get it on the first take as words escape me. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin Please consider it as constructive. I guess when I reread my comment, it came off a little harsh. I love watching you, and your content and energy is great! I do fear tho, the way you throw your head back with the bite, you might bite a finger off! 🤣🤣🤣
You're very welcome! It was my pleasure really lmao. It's not the cheapest but being on the strip in Vegas, these are actually some of the cheaper options you'll find. $9 for a breakfast sandwich or $6 for a slice of pepperoni pizza is pretty reasonable for the strip. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin Appreciate it. I actually will be staying at the Aria from Jan 20th...so looking forward to trying some of what you had...especially that Seoul Chicken sandwich....
I ate here tonight had the Lola burger place I think it was called. Had the basic burger with fried egg and bacon added. It was very rare almost raw but it tasted good. I like the self serve drinks and the ambiance upstairs at Aria is amazing. It was my first time going up there for anything. Then again, Aria is amazing everywhere you go in there!! Had to use kiosk to order and use my comps to pay. Not sure if you always have to use kiosk or only at certain times. Overall I enjoyed it and I never went to the buffet before so I have nothing to lament over. Great vid!
That's interesting because my burger was definitely medium well and I thought it was tasty. Aria is a very beautiful property, absolutely. In regards to ordering, you have the option of the kiosk, as well as ordering from your phone. But certain locations like the Tamaki Sushi Bar you have to order from the bar itself. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin Burger was still good for me too but a couple more minutes on the grill would have been OK. :) Thanks for the tip about the phone ordering, will try that next time. I want to try some more of the places. Recently discovered you and Subscribed and really enjoy your channel, Shin.
Shin uses the word "salinity" rather than the more common "saltiness." I'm curious how interchangeable these two terms are in the context of casual food reviews. For me, "salinity" seems more chemistry-oriented. I'm curious as to what others might think on this matter, lol…
Couldn't say. I was a bio major in university, and I'm not a professional food critic. I'm a guy on RU-vid having fun with a hobby. I think everyone understands what I'm talking about though. Thanks for watching!
