I wouldn’t say her voice is boring . There wasn’t just a highlighted high note or some like that. She has a lot of great songs also high notes. She just wanted a relaxed and happy song . So that everyone can jam to it and don’t sing those rough notes. Also on tour almost every song on the list is hard to sing and she has to do it every night.

Hi 👋🏻 Ariana stan here! This comment will be long, but oh well! For other Ariana music videos, you should check out No Tears Left to Cry, God is a Woman, Thank U, Next, 7 Rings, or Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored. If you’re interested in live vocals, you guys should watch God is a Woman at the 2018 VMAs, either No Tears, God is a Woman, or R.E.M from the BBC Live Lounge, God is a Woman from her BBC special, or any song really from the second or third leg of the Sweetener World Tour. Then two really deep songs that she has never performed live, but songs that I love so much are Ghostin and In My Head. Then it’s not her song, but in 2018 she performed The Wizard and I from the musical Wicked for a tv special that is arguably one of my favorite performances from her not only because she sounded incredible, but because it was filmed like two days after she broke off her engagement to Pete. She never even showed up to the final dress rehearsal and many thought she was just going to pull out last minute. But she came and she was good and looked so happy and I was so proud of her! Also I wanted to let you guys know that you should not expect Positions or any song from her upcoming album to sound like a pop song. She is finally coming out with an R&B album, which is the type of music that she loves and has always wanted to make. Then finally those dogs at the end were hers! She actually owns 9 dogs and a pet pig!

The video has nothing to do with the lyrics on purpose. Music videos usually have a different concept that SOMEHOW ties back to the song differently, not so much in the literal sense anymore like the old days. In this video, the different “positions” are the roles she’s playing as President which is current to U.S. events because of our dumb ass election coming up. Screw Trump. Anyway, hope that give you a little more insight. Also. It’s 3 am and I can’t sleep and stumbled on this RU-vid video from your IG.

the dangerous woman album is very upbeat and vocally very good. standouts are dangerous woman, into you, touch it. sweetener is an amazing album vocally with the best songs being god is a woman, no tears left to cry, breathin, and if you don’t mind sadder songs, better off. positions is honestly my favourite album but it’s not for everyone. my hair she really goes off vocally and pov has some great belts. positions is the most commercial song on the album and the rest is very r&b and really vibey.

I feel like this song is about how she can take on many things in her life (girlfriend, lover, friend, singer, songwriter etc) i.e. "positions" and still be a boss hence the music video but I also feel like it has a double entendre meaning to it as she would happily switch "positions" in the bedroom or wherever at home for the right man hence "nothin' I wouldn't do . That I won't do, switchin' for you" and she's hoping that that is whom she is with right now hence "heaven sent you to me, I'm just hoping I don't re-peat history" is this man she would happily be doing it for... I do agree it doesn't really show off her vocal range but I feel like its suits what she's singing about and that it suits the melody of the song. I feel like her next song 34+35 follows nicely off of this because it's taking this entendre from this song and talking about sixty-nining.. overall I think your reactions were valid and solid. looking forward to your next one (:

Had to jump over from your Insta page and watch this. I totally agree a bit disconnected lyrics to video and somewhat unremarkable with the voice, seeing as that she had an awesome voice.
