People sadly skipped over MASTERPIECES like "mother's daughter" and "Slide away", even "Nothing breaks like a heart"

She was inspired by Stevie Nicks 'Edge of Seventeen' she sampled a bit of the song especially the 'Ooh you know it's true' part. It suits her so well.

I like how they focused on her singing and talent rather than just sexualizing her like some other reactors did.

I just gotta say Miley is pretty underrated compared to all these other girls! I mean she's got a strong voice, looks amazing, always touches on social topics that concern a lot of people, fights for justice and equality and is overall an amazing human being who just doesnt give a fuck about what others have to say and just does what she loves, and that's the whole point of this song "i don't belong to anyone, i don't need to be loved by you" to me doesn't just apply to a boy or girl, it applies to the whole industry trying to tell her from being herself, yet she is doing it and SLAYING!

Slide Away (live at the VMA's) is one of my favorite songs of her!

She sampled a Stevie Nicks song for this one and she actually called Stevie Nicks herself to do this song and she helped Miley.

The fact that no one realizes the Fleetwood Mac influence on the chorus makes me sad

She grew up a Disney star. One of the first, and most iconic. She damn near got Disney through the 2000’s. I grew up a Hannah Montana fan (her show) and looking back now as an adult, this Miley has always been there. Her voice and music taste has always been a bit edgy, but she was most definitely pressured into being that Disney pop idol or have her rebellious phase. I’m so excited for what music she puts out since there’s no longer certain expectations.

If you haven’t yet, you guys should definitely listen to the “Remix” if this song called Edge of Midnight, it’s a collaboration with Stevie Nicks. It’s a mashup of this song and Edge of Seventeen but updated. Both of them with new vocals instead of a generic mashup. It was officially released by Miley on a special edition of this album, it’s even better.
