“i wish i hated you” is bc the breakup hurts so much worse when they aren’t the worst. it’s sm easier to move on when you hate the person / they did you the worst!
@@bananaspudding She has an entire RnB album (positions) that was never categorized as RnB because a lot of these classifications are based on race. Like how they kept pushing Normani into RnB when she made pop.
@bananaspudding I'd consider Positions an R&B album. The musical categories are 100% based on race and other artists have spoken out about it before. Like when Hotline Bling won best rap song despite the fact that Drake doesn't rap in it 😂
She said there will be "many more" videos for this album. She just released "we can't be friends" music video, it's her best video by FAR, and it stars Evan Peters. ITS INSANE
She chose "yes, and" as the single because she said its the only song that really stood alone from the concept of the album. Which is the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet. If you watch the movie the album makes a lot more sense
@@kaidaniel8117well it doesn’t fit with the concept of the movie, but it definitely fits with the album. putting it after “the boy is mine” is basically her jokingly saying yeah he’s mine, and? but then also if u read the lyrics to “we can’t be friends (wait for you love)” it’s very much connected to yes, and? especially the bridge for example, “my tongue is sacred i speak upon what i like” to “me and my truth we sit in silence”
one of the best reactions HANDS DOWN. im 100% sure. (yall get the Wish I Hated You message totally wrong tho lmao. its not about that, its about when ur in a relationship where you are good to each other but somehow you 2 doesnt match and cant figure out your problems. like, the person has been good to you but still you couldnt get on the same page)
There’s speculation that a few songs are about Mac as his favorite movie was “eternal sunshine of the spotless mind”. Her mv for “we can’t be friends” has a few hints about him.
I've been rocking with y'all since 2016 when it comes to album reviews and y'all make me like the song(s) even more!!! I listened to the album on Friday when it dropped and with just one straight listen I originally liked eternal sunshine (Ariana on a 808 beat is EVERYTHING) but after relistening to the album with y'all... I've come to appreciate and like more songs and adding them to my likes on Spotify. all that to say is yalls opinion matters, it matters to me at least. Keep reacting to Ari and more females in pop/r&b/ and hip hop spaces. Salute
she's definitely an r&b artist to me that's the style that suit her most in fact when she started music that's what she wanted to go into but they made her go into more pop stuff but you still found the r&b sound in most of her first albums
i don’t think that’s what she was trynna say with i wish i hated you 😭 the “wish you were worse to me” is basically just her saying i wish u gave me an actual reason to hate you so that it could be easy to move on from this. but because he wasn’t actually bad to her, the break up hurts even worse. and it would’ve hurt if she actually hated him.
i missed the ari reactions omg, that’s how i met yall :( you guys are so funny and have great tasteeee, btw i hated yes and too, she really misguided us with that as a single
in the intro she starts with “how can i tell if im in the right relationship?” and then the album ends with nonna answering her saying “you’re in the wrong place, get out”…..absolutely beautiful
I wish i hated you was not about that.. she broke up with someone and she’s saying it would be much easier to move on if she hated that person.. but she doesn’t so she feels guilty for even thinking about it
love this love the album!! 💗 can you please react to RM's new album "Right Place, Wrong Person" out on Friday May 24th. It's an 11-track album that captures some of the universal emotions that we all experience at some point in life, such as the feeling of being an outsider who doesn’t fit in. The album falls within the alternative genre, boasting a rich sound coupled with frank, honest lyrics. Hope you can give it a listen!
