However you are missing the operative point of the statement Beyoncé is the most popular artist meaning she is the queen of pop. Pop as a genre simply means popular [at the moment]. idk if this farfetched but when the gophers or groundhogs were screeching there was a girl's scream right before the video cut to the next scene and the main groundhog in the front ducked as if it was scared of the girl's scream (I'm also pretty sure that the groundhogs represent men). think Ariana was trying to show that a woman's voice is more powerful than a man's figuratively and literally.
