The websites having unapproved clips is so insane. I really hope we can get a deep dive and expose the people behind this stuff. Dan is a piece of shit but he definitely didn't do all of this alone, more names need to be dropped imo.
I noticed that there was a switch up on Ariana when the podcast clip was going viral because when quiet on set was released, people were BEGGING Ariana to speak up but when she did, they are mad that she hasn’t said more? I’m not an Ariana grande fan by any means but she shouldn’t be policed on how she should come forward with her trauma and she’s honestly right when there should not only be therapists on set but parents should be on set as well. at this point I’m worried about Ariana’s mental health and no one I MEAN NO ONE should come forward because you don’t know what trauma they’re still processing.

ariana has had such a traumatic life in her time in the public eye. Like she started on these tv shows, then became the target of a terrorist attack at her concert, then had her ex boyfriend die from an overdose. Those are all such big traumas to deal with as a young adult.

There are people getting dragged into war, living through horrible traumas and they have to go to work the next day like nothing happend, because they need to feed their kids.

Its disgustingly entitled for the public to think that Ariana owes them an explanation on what happened between her ,and Dan. She doesn't owe anyone anything and to me it shows that the public doesn't truly cares about victims i hope she take time to heal it must be traumatic for her relive this trauma.

Well there were some parents who cared and got their kids out of the situation. Alexa Nicolas’ mom protected her from doing anything inappropriate on Zoey 101. But yes some of the parents didn’t protect their children and it’s sad.
I thought NDAs have expiration dates especially when it's been over a decade at least and Dan is already being sued by other people.. Shouldn't it be okay to speak up? 🤔

Parents def need to be involved in every step in the process when it comes to their kids in the acting business. Also, might be good to teach kids self defense too.
Most parents who fling their kids into acting don't care if they're exploited as long as they line their pockets. There needs to be an unaffiliated third party with specialists in child psychology and development. You can't trust the parents anymore than you can trust the executives theyre in bed with
I relate when she talks about reprocessing what happened..im currently doing that with things that happened in my past when i was a child and now that i understand how wrong things were and now that im a mom now a lot of stuff is really tugging at me. I understand her a lot and my heart breaks for all the children that went through nickelodian.

I think the main reason she hasn’t spoken is because she did sign NDA’s unlike Jennette McCurdy but given her fame it sounds like she’s possibly had her legal team help her find loopholes in the language and about what certain things she can get away with saying now
Hopefully Disney will get a proper documentary. An Open Secret was a Disney documentary but it didn’t go too well because people were being pressured by producers to speak out

As someone in Psych who is very interested in the psychology of the 1%, I can’t agree with her more about mandatory therapy being written into contracts.
I think they should also make sure it isn't just a "set therapist' or something. Make sure it's a third party therapist to be sure there is no corruption.
Realizing how your trauma shaped you is the first step to improving yourself and your life. Hopefully she does the work to heal and improve before she brings children into this world.

I was a teenager when I watched Victorious, and I was uncomfortable with a lot of Cat's video for the Slap. The other characters were usually more okay, but Cat's was just really, really not okay. I was a teenager, and I was uncomfortable with it.
Tbf, I'd say these shows shouldn't even be made anymore. As in, no more child stars, please. There are too many examples showing us how dangerous hollywood is for child actors. This has always been a problem, and I'm sure we probably don't even know half of it... Most former child stars even say they wouldn't let their child to the same thing. Maybe it's time to stop giving this industry second chances, they don't deserve it. let children be children. Even with all the therapists and supervisors in the world, fame isn't good for someone growing up. The shows aren't worth it, these kids safety and childhoods should come first.
I've started rewatching that Ariana video on that actress Alexa Nicole's podcast and I was kind of annoyed because she kept pausing every few seconds to I guess to refocus on herself or kind of make like accusations about Ariana or Penn rather than showing compassion for them and empathize that if Ariana is not ready to spill her own tea then you shouldn't for someone or get mad that she's not speaking up maybe she's not ready
I'm also glad that she speaks out the fact that these people in the studios were trying to normalize on what they were trying to portray on TV and I think she's very self-aware that it's not okay and is literally reprocessing maybe dissociating because it's very traumatizing because I could tell that she wanted to speak up but legally she can't and I just I want to empathize with her
despite all of her controversy recently with her co star and how I feel about that, I will never invalidate anyone’s experience and I’m so glad she’s chosen to speak up now, no matter how long it took, and I hope it’s because she wanted to, and didn’t feel pressured to when it comes to this particular situation

yep growing up I went on the slap once and never again. The website was so weird to me and I was underage.Victorious always had large sexual undertones. It felt like it wasn't for kids more for teens.
I remember when I realised that I’d been groomed. Thankfully I happened to say something about “always tell adults when someone touches you” so it never got physical. He knew I wouldn’t stay quiet like his daughters (those poor girls). I had no idea he was hurting them at the time but looking back as an adult I want to cry

I’m not a fan of how the internet was pressuring everyone who was on a Nickelodeon show to speak up. They don’t owe us anything to talk about it, especially with the level of trauma this has clearly caused all of them. I hope everyone who came forward did so of their own volition, not because they felt like they had to because it was being demanded. I hope they can all find some peace and healing from it. But I imagine this all coming out has retraumatized them again.
