The ability to be put where he would be uncomfortable is what he needed to grow as a mixed martial artist. Mark Coleman was the same way, staying at home and bringing in people to train, rather than going where he’s got to focus on his training. It would have been good to see him learn how to react to punches, because he can take some hard shots. Seeing him learn to properly throw punches would make him really scary. Being so private is good for the family, not so good for the skills he lacked. Good interview.
He always said that he is an introvert...the only reason he can perform in WWE or UFC in front of thousands of people is that he is inside his character, inside his "shell" and doesn't have to talk to other people (this is what he said in an interview)
"He beat my ass that's what happened!" Brock being more real than a lot of fighters. I know he mentioned about going through a lot with his injury, however, to be able to be straight and said he got his ass whooped is a lot more than most would ever admit.
Lesnar is proof that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. When he first arrived, pumped up, covered in tattoos, looking extremely dangerous, you got the feeling he was out of control. Then you listen to him here, an articulate, honest gentleman and you realise what an awesome personality he is. Its only a matter of time before he crops in movies. He'd be brilliant in something like The Expendables...
that's the thing about brock ..he stays quite and everybody forms an opinion .. dude can just walk into a room and walk back out and people have their minds made up ..he doesn't have to do cartwheels to appease anyone
@@RPKGameVids If you fail at anything in life you can learn from your mistake or not, goes the same with fighting or anything... How do you not know that?
Lesnar saying that someone beat his ass is awesome because he stays humble and he always comes back more focused every time he gets defeated. Lesnar kicks ass.
Brock is a tank! don't care what other people think, to come back from the health conditions he did shows what kind of a man Brock is! A born warrior this man!
Came to say the same thing! Didn't like him before this video really, well I like his WWE character, but this vid really shows Brock the person, and when all is said and done, he sounds like a pretty decent guy!
I do like Brock Lesnar. He seems to be an honest person. He answers every question directly and doesn't hold anything back yet doesn't lower himself. Hope that Lesnar stays back into the ring.
+Younq Ferriz hes always refreshingly candid, the stage thing isnt his personality, the guys just a regular dude as you see here. used to think what you did, but hes cool as you can see, heh
I'm not a huge Lesnar fan but I like that he doesn't make excuses, he admits that Cain was the better man, and planned to up his game, shame it didn't work out
I don't think Lesnar gets as much respect as he deserves. He's got freakish strength, has accomplished a ton, even without the WWE and UFC accolades, and then went on to accomplish so much in both those avenues. Going back to WWE after years away, he still puts on some of the best matches in the company. His match against Cena and his match against, Punk, for example, were excellent (vs Punk was the match of the year, in my opinion), and his match against Hunter at WM29--and I know I'm going to take heat for this--was the best one of the PPV.
I think Brock has come a long way as far as maturity. But fact of the matter is a lot of people remember him when he was first in WWE and he was a cocky, bully of a kid. And even in his earlier UFC fights, he still had that very cocky attitude. Maybe that's what made him as good as he was at the time, but I think since his sickness he has become a lot more humble, and people tend to relate more to him now as an actual human being.
@@pabloramos1462 Brock actually said that himself so idk what's the point of hating on Brock. Every1 loses u just proved what the guy said that brock gets no respect. Dont get me wrong I was happy Cain won being Mexican my self. But its true he doesnt get as much respect as he deserves Brock has beat ppl that r in the hall of fame in Randy & Mir not to mention having a hell of a comeback against Carwin who was knocking every1 out in the 1st round. Yes he has losses but 1 vs mir he only loss after the ref stopped the fight & restarted it but up2 that point he was whooping Mir the other 2 losses vs Cain & Overeem both were after he came back from that hole in his stomach. Even those guys that beat him have losses Cain lost 2 Dos Santos in his 1st title defense. Overseen has got beat by chuck Liddell, Bigfoot, ngannu or however u spell it
doesn't matter whether he wins or loses...his status as a legend is sealed in both WWE and UFC for the simple reason that he brought in a lot of viewers and is an overall good guy...
Couldn't even make the team when he tried NFL...only sport where they didn't just put him at the top for being polarizing. He hasn't earned a single thing since college.
It's really cool to hear years later that Brock and Taker set up that little angel at ufc. Those guts together other than Taker getting concussed at Mania are amazing. A beast and a deadman putting on great matches was awesome. Brock and Taker have great chemistry.
Brock lesnar has done so much in the UFC and WWE, made history, set records and so forth and yet he is the most down to earth guy when he speaks candidly like this, top bloke
First real interview I have seen of Brock that wasn’t to hype a fight. I was impressed. Very well spoken and humble. I definitely like and respect him more now than I did.
Brock is just a a good ol Farm boy. He is really humble. Straight forward and a competitor. Nothing fancy about him. He plays the beast incarnate really well in WWE. Considering the amount of knowledge he had when he came into the UFC - that's impressive. He had a wrestling background and a basic striking background.
+Gabriel Guzman Did you read the part where I said Basic striking background? That basic striking background being the limited training he received while he was in the UFC? You dumb shit.He broke Heath Herrings orbital bone with just a glancing blow, and he pulverized Frank Mir's face in their second fight. So, a little more then basic.
Before I saw an interview with brock I judged him and never really liked him, but after every interview I see I like him more and more, he's honest, humble, and an all around stand up guy. I have gained allot of respect for him and what he's done in ufc, and what he says about wwe (or whatever its called) is very true. The way he jumped into the ufc and won is absolutely incerdible, he has the heart of a true warrior.
I think both Mark and Brock dealt with the questioning from the interviewer very well. No slagging off, simply attempting to deflect it and say it's personal. Good job Brock. Good job Mark. Fan of both in WWE and in MMA.
Lesnar seems like a real down to earth guy, honesty is rare in fighters, and he was totally honest about defeat, he got his ass kicked! Now he is the main draw in WWE, no question about it, the fans love him cos he's a legit badass wrestler!
He's way more intelligent than I would have guessed. I would have thought he was just a brute, but he's actually pretty soft spoken and somewhat articulate.
+Nash Agnas your so right he's just not into fame it's a busines for him he's a no bullshit guys he's a farmer -hunter in real life that's who he really is. hus growing up was tough on the farm. hell when he joined wwf he'd never watched it in he's life as he never really watched TV it only had two channels when they're worked. I dig the simplicity of the man no bullshit just wants to clock in and clock out and get back to hunting and being a father.
they played the wm 30 match off so well making it seem like they hate each other. undertaker once said he wanted brock to be the one who broke the streak. i love how they kept it under wraps like that
"I don't know if [Undertaker] was there to get some attention or what..." Taker RARELY does interviews, rarely speaks with the press, is pretty much low key, and nowadays only appears once a year (Wrestlemania season); I doubt Taker is the type of Man who wants or needs attention from anybody.
this was a staged feud from the 2 because they were hoping for a match and dana white would not allow it. this talk with the undertaker having beef with lesnar is not true. they actually are friends. the only time taker was pissed at lesnar was in 2004 when lesnar left wwe after getting a huge push.
@MovieManiac33 a lot of vets in the locker room were not happy with Brock or Goldberg, because they didn't try to develop any of the younger wrestlers and put them over before they gave their notice and left after WM 2004 was finished.
The do you wanna do it thing was about breaking undertakers wrestle mania streak. He offered it to Brock cos vice let him pick who’d do it. That’s what all the massive wwe fans say at least
Brock said it best, "I can go back and be a wrestler, they can't do what I did and become an ultimate fighter." That's the realest shit I ever heard, and that's the bottom line cause Brock said so.
@@mathewlittle326 cm punk wasnt successfull against unranked dudes brock is the only guys who destroyed world class fighters and get that ufc belt in wwe
Seems like a real good guy. Tough as hell and very intelligent. It would be awesome to fish with him and just listen to some of the things this man has to say. Very cool and humble man.
I like hearing guys like Brock Lesnar just talking about his experiences. These guys are regular people like all of us. They had a job to do and did it very well.
He is really chilld here he seems like a really cool dude i know someone who met him he said brock was one of nicest guys ever got his autograph and brock gave him a tee shirt plus a hug he thought brock was gonna be mean
brock lesnar prooved that he is a true fighter, which he wanted to proove and he said that people don't understand the fact that he had been through very difficulties in his life, specially on the occasion before facing cain velasquez, he struggled a sevier problems and yet he manages to face velasquez which certainly makes him a true fighter it does not matter he lost that fight but how he overcome his deseases and come back to fight and one more thing he certainly prooved that what all other wrestler's (wwe) can't do, HE DID. really a living LEGEND he is.
scottsrush he's a super disrespectful piece of shit. during that interview with the undertaker, lesnar gave undertaker the most provocotive stare while passing through. when asked about dana white asking him to join he immediately like "no no"....without i appreciate the offer...or anything like that...zero manners no respect. and all of his career he lacked respect for his opponents. and he's arrogant has fuck. i suggest you re-evaluate your respect for him
And Brock coached TUF where Tony Ferguson won and look at him now. It’s awesome looking back and seeing how everything has transpired. Sports are great.
love or hate him, doesnt matter, hes more real than 90% of most pro athletes. takes balls to step into a cage and fight, takes talent to be successful at it. pro wrestling takes talent and ability to give yourself a beating on the body day in day out. Much respect
5:12 paused. Brock's a guy I was unsure of at first due to my own strange life experiences, but the more I hear him the more I realize that's a really awesome guy undeserving of that alternate optic lens. God Bless you man wherever you are. Keep speaking & acting like a leader, you got heart.
7:54 paused. Eye contact means something to a man, that being said anyone of actual competition experience understands win, or especially lose, that mindset & eye contact needs critical evaluation or understanding in its applicability. In other words, BACKOFF! Just goes to show a level ignorance, inconsideration, or self-centeredness being exhibited there, you take your pick. That wasn't his show or venue. Had he been drinking? I just caught this for the first time the other day, I could hear the Undertaker, I couldn't even hear Brock. I wasn't there but it seemed like shit. I caught the sensitivity eye strain & moments reflection of heart displayed there. I'm no stranger to the charismatic swaying or persuasion of social scenarios. I wouldn't make the man an outcast for it, but I didn't care for what I saw. Perhaps maybe if Brock had won & he was a ranked competitor.? But no.
Ya jealousy, by inserting themselves they succeed to the majority in an illusion of capability. They aren't on your level. As a healthy reminder, Butterbean. Consider the level, consider the changeover to more pedigree competitors.
Out of all the WWE wrestlers, this is the only guy that's took on the ufc as-well. May I just add that WWE pay more than UFC aswell. Just shows how much of a warrior this guy is! Wasn't about the pay at all.
i love how even being in the UFC brock was keeping kayfabe with the undertaker knowing full and well what he was talking about but still running ariel in circles
Damn I miss Ariel being around all the ufc events n his interviews after .. I always watched his interviews after the ppv...it was a big part of the whole ufc ppv night... now I barely watch ufc
Just because it was a work on Takers end does not mean Brock knew about it prior. Honestly doubt doing a work with Taker was on his mind when he was fighting for a title and getting knocked the f out.
Brock is amazing inside and out of the ring. He had a few slips when he first came in because he came from WWE.. people forget that, he had to adjust... And he did..
brock’s home now is WWE and that dude is nuts. i’m glad he came back to wrestling my fav honestly was john cena but when this man returned it changed wrestling for me this man is just a beast at fighting and wrestling and i’m just glad to see him because not to be like laurinitis but he does bring back some legitimacy to wrestling.
WWE is staged not fake. The outcome is predetermined by a script but in some cases the outcome of a match could change during the course of the match. But aside from the predetermined outcome wrestling isn't fake. These men and women take real hits, falls and bumps. They walk out of the ring with welts, bruises, blood and sometimes serious or career ending injuries. So stop saying it's fake when it isn't. And the only difference between UFC and the WWE is that the UFC isn't scripted.
Since you have admitted that the outcome is predetermined... How can you even call them matches anymore?? That's would insinuate that people are actually competing against each other. You should call them what they are; performances.
Like Chael sonnen said, Brock is an entertainer! Brock knows how to get the people interested in his character. Very rarely will you see him in his true form. He is a master of his craft. Very nice to see a humble nice Brock.
In my opinion: 1. Taker was there to confront Brock. He praised Brock's talent, but their fight is personal..so Taker really is a badass. 2. Brock knows he could easily beat Taker..but the way he delivered his message, he is being careful not to offend anymore. 3. They are both great in their own rights, trying to settle their differences personally. 4. The interviewer sucks for not telling Brock that Taker was rooting for him. So kudos to Brock..
He gets way more shit talked about him then there should be. The guy is a major introvert and there’s a reason why he doesn’t do a lot of interviews, keeps to himself in the locker room and only a couple of matches a year. Like he said the spotlight takes a lot out of him and I respect him mor now knowing he’s an inter overt but has a job that’s so out in the spotlight. Guy is humble and honest.
KORN 1999 and he is now the only few wwe wrestler that can make wrestling look so real so destructive so painful, makes huge brawls none like most of wwe superstars today
Dude Brock would kill the undertaker old bad knees ass Brock is a trained mma world heavy weight champ the undertaker is a fake ass wrestler Brock would destroy his old ass
Shaneosaurus Gaming this is the first time I’d see a person insulting and disrespecting the undertaker, why you just called him “professional wrestler” instead of calling him a “fake ass wrestler” and “old ass”.
@@Haddley333 After the fight. Undertaker was front row, and was being interviewed about his thoughts on the fight. During the interview, Brock walked by him, stopped and stared like he wanted to fight. Undertaker said something like "What? You wanna do it now?" with an angry look. Apparently Brock told friends he wanted to punch Mark in the face, and word got back to Mark.
