+ilovebroadway2221 I am in love with Arielle Jacobs, I don't have a Broadway singer I like more than her. But when or if Pocahontas should ever come to Broadway, Disney should find an indigenous or First Nation actress.
I personally hope there is no Broadway production of Disney's Pocahontas. At least not yet. The film is one of the least popular Disney films, with many negative reviews. But the art, the soul, the music is special. What Disney needs to do is do a live action remake of Pocahontas - but getting it historically accurate this time. Then we can talk about a Broadway musical.
That would only work if the story was made historically and culturally accurate. Most Native Americans hate Disney's Pocahontas and find it highly offensive. As a quarter-cast American Indian myself, I do not find it offensive. But I would rather see Disney remake their little film into a true motion picture. Live action with CG animation, and a story that follows the historical facts much better while still keeping the music, the soul and the Spiritual tone & feel of the original.
What you just said is definitely what we need. But if it's going to be historically accurate, the songs are definitely gonna be wiped out, or who knows. Would be cool to see it though :P
Not only did she sing that, she acted it out! So beautiful, so real and authentic! Go, Arielle! One can tell that Pocahontas was a special character for you!
so beautiful, so flawless, so consistent, perfect diction, amazing expression. such goals. I hope I can meet her at the stage door one day and tell her how inspiring she is!
Please let her sing "Where Do I Go From Here" from the sequel at the next Princess Party!! Huge fan of that song and Arielle and would LOVE to hear her kill it!!
I just reviewed Pocahontas few days before. Both the original one and Arielle owned their features vividly: natural, emotional, and influential. If Pocahontas edited to become a broadway musical, Arielle would be my ideal heroine~
this is one of the hardest song in Disney's history, your cover was the best. perfect... same level of the legend Judy Kuhn, Im in love Arriele Jacobs the best - Raymond from the Philippines.
I’ve been singing this since I was a kid, for fun...it’s such an empowering song and I still sing it to this day. 🤩🥳 Beautifully done! 👏🏻 makes me wanna sing it right now
Adam Jacob's sister, aka the OBC Aladdin on Broadway, sounds lovely. If you want to hear these siblings together, look for them singing "Suddenly Seymour" for Broadway duets.
I just by chance found Arielle singing "How Far I'd Go" and came right to this video after that. So! Good! Now it's time to search for and watch all the videos she's ever been recorded in.
What I love most about rivers is You can't step in the same river twice The water's always changing, always flowing But people, I guess, can't live like that We all must pay a price To be safe, we lose our chance of ever knowing What's around the river bend Waiting just around the river bend I look once more just around the river bend Beyond the shore where the gulls fly free Don't know what for what I dream the day might send Just around the river bend for me, coming for me I feel it there beyond those trees Or right behind these waterfalls Can I ignore that sound of distant drumming? For a handsome sturdy husband who builds handsome sturdy walls And never dreams that something might be coming? Just around the river bend Just around the river bend I look once more just around the river bend Beyond the shore somewhere past the sea Don't know what for why do all my dreams extend Just around the river bend, just around the river bend Should I choose the smoothest curve Steady as the beating drum? Should I marry Kocoum? Is all my dreaming at an end? Or do you still wait for me, dream giver Just around the river bend?
Such an underrated and important song for all young girls and boys or whoever .. to hope and dream and yearn for all what life can offer and not just the easy obvious road ..
Brought a tear to my eyes! The sound quality is Meh but all the intensity of the vocals were there if not more. The emotions were just as intense if not better. Wow I want to make a morning motivational play list and this song be on it. It’s so nice to have coffee and be brought to emotional tears of inspiration.
Great performance. She stayed true to her voice and never tried to meet the original voice (Judy Khun) or over do it. Still made feel like the original.
