Looks like there are 10 spots left in the base roster from this build. We already know Voldo is coming. Who could fill out the rest? From SC2 they could do Astaroth, Cervantes, Raphael, Cassandra, Yun-Seong/Hwang, and Seong-Mi-Na. I think Hilde, Tira, and Lizardman (w/ wings and shit) would be better picks from the newer games. New characters are probably also on the table. And guests too I think?
Steven I’d assume they’d only have the one guest character for release. Also I wouldn’t be surprised if Setsuka returns with a new character taking up the final slot.
I think Okubo already said that no more guests for release, but hinted at more as DLC. I'd be surprised if there wasn't at least one more new character on release though, but let's see.
I really hope they make another new character. This game literally has one and he looks like ass if you ask me. But yea please add Astaroth, Cervantes, and Raph. Cassandra and Mina can ride the bench this time around if we going back to a smaller roster.
They had a unique 2P costume since the first Soulcalibur but I bet they'll pull a DLC shit like many other fighting games. That is why I hate how complacent we have become in accepting these practices, so much that people would get excited about things previously part of the game's aesthetic.
If they replaced the b+g throw with reversal does that mean there's only the a+g throw now? How does throw breaking work if there's only one? Also just curious anyone know the input for critical edge?
So i think i figured it out. I think they are focused on making the game look more stylized than just super realistic like t7. I like the way it looks honestly, and the movement bro it reminds me of sc 2. And just for that i want to cry. Even if there is no character creation, which would make me rip my nipples off, i would still get the game for these smooth ass O.g character fights.
This game looks cool, pretty & fun at first, but this is going the path of SC5 and it is very apparent from the gameplay seen here. Quick flash in the pan and then will die off and be dead in 1.5 years. Movelists have obviously been kept dumbed down & shortened, focus is on offensive play, yet another mechanic borrowed from SFV (v-trigger) to pointlessly try to win over players from the SF universe instead of catering to the old school hardcore SC crowd that actually kept the franchise (barely) alive. I fell for SC5 and wasted a year on it, not gonna happen with this game, especially when DLC will be milked with characters being behind paywalls. Good luck to those who purchase the game.
Markman was allowed to bring over a PS4 that had an earlier version of the game on it. Most likely for additional publicity since Aris is a big SC fan and a well known streamer in the FGC.
Fight me Aris. Im prob the best taki. I was rnked top 20 but seeing i have a "busy" life i cant play everyday. Ive been told i am the best taki. I would love a few rounds with the legend aris. Been a fan for awhile.
How? It looks phenomenal. Sure, visually it's not a huge upgrade from Soul Calibur V, but that game already had a crazy amount of detail. Especially for a last gen title. Polygons can only do so much. I'm more excited for the newer mechanics they're introducing.
Mayur Reddy.J No they are not that good, they are never playing on the offensive side and are playing it safe, all the time. Note: Siegfried is incredibly cheap in a way that he can win by just doing his 3b[b], Aris can't play him, just bother with one character or two if you're really good. But you're right in a way, because characters like Cassandra, Sopitha, Voldo, Cervantes and Siegfried are characters with little to no standpoint, basicly they can do whatever they want in a way no other character can counter. Cassandra is so annoying, espacially in IV, where she is like an SC2 character (Deals ton of damage, with stuns etc.) In tournaments they are still allowed, but those who play them are usually bad at every other fighting game and needs so much time to be efficient, talking about maybe +1000 hours in just one series, but haven't already learned the flow in the game. Aris has played since the first game came out, in much later rankings of SC5 he wasn't even at 50. Some MLG players surpassed him in a large scale. So you can still be better at all games even if you haven't played for as long as others. But saying it outloud only brings jealousy.
