What happens if you sound original than forcing yourself to sound American Ice Prince?
@dfaro8453
@dfaro8453 2 года назад
It put more money in his pocket boss cause I am American and I buy his music

@@dfaro8453 sorry Americans doesn’t listen to Afrobeat because the artists sound American rather they listen to it because of it’s originality, Americans love originality and something different from what they’re used to, therefore i doubt if you’re American, what’s your county and zip code?

@@onewithgod5188 i commented because I am American and I have been listening to Ice Prince for a long time now. Ever since his first major hit out of ChocolateCity which called Aboki, I and many people would play repeatedly in the states. Some of us search for new music and Africa has always been the continent that has been providing us with new artists and new sound. The reason he sounds American I would say, Nigerian dialect is very hard to comprehend for us as Americans. So if artists like Ice want to hit the global market, then they must be able to deliver to us in a way we can understand while obtaining their African originality.

@@dfaro8453 sir with all due respect you don’t sound American and the likes of Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy the lists goes on never sound American yet they hit the global stage, sounding fake can’t take you there, didn’t you see the video of Rihanna blasting burna boy’s song?, she didn’t blast the music because she understand what was said in the music or because he sounded American, she blasted the music because of the rhythm and it’s originality and mind you Ice prince never lived in the states or anything like that, yet he was trying to sound American, that’s stupid…i for one can speak Portuguese even though I’m not from any of the Portuguese speaking countries but i can never sound like people that was born and raised in one of those countries, Africans especially Nigerians are too fake, why can’t we as Africans for once be proud of where we came from, you haven’t answer my question if you claim to be American what is your county and zip code? Your English is purely African yet you claim to be American, you mentioned Chocolates city, that was way back when African music hasn’t made its way to the global stage so i doubt your claim sir!

@@onewithgod5188 my English literacy sound African 😂 wow. Anyways it’s your opinion. I can’t speak for all Americans. However, for me, I started to listen to Afro music because of the lyrics which I could have understand. Rihanna is Rihanna. I don’t know why she started featuring African artists. I only can make an assumption here and that’s for the money.
