Many of the petroglyphs you showed are Indian with Spanish blended in. If you learned to read the rock's they were showing you the way to go.

Those things you found are from an auger to drill the holes. They are carbide tiped.

The picture of the people on that rock if you look at it they’re climbing up and falling down trying to look for the treasure yup

Those pointed iron pieces look just like the replaceable (that snap retaining ring on the narrow bottom is the locking mechanism) we use on the rotating heads of the big "miner and shear" machines used for cutting out the coal in underground coal mines.

Very cool hope you figure it out…is there or was there a lake or river nearby? Just a wild guess but maybe the petroglyph shows hiking to water then taking a boat to wherever or whatever they we’re leaving clues about?

Those are fun days you are having, I always love being out in the Sonoran desert. Could the petroglyph predate Spanish and just be American Indian, and where did they get their water if they were staying in that area

I have found similar things like this in Georgia by the Etowah riverwhere the Indians lived. We own 60 acres there and there are terraced hills with arrow heads along of marble and quartz along with these metal what look like spikes with a rectangle hole in the center of them. I believe they are rock hammers the Indians used back then. There's also a graveyard from the 1800's there also. Then on top of the terraced hill there's a 6x4x8 ft rock at the peak of the hill. Now mind you this is the highest point next to the Etowah river . This is the exact same landscape as the Etowah mounds in Cartersville GA. Just upstream from my land. I just wanted to see what your input would be on this site that will eventually be my own.

So the land on both sides of the road is that privately owned or is that BLM land. I live in a state where if it's fenced off that means it is private property but it could be Beyond lamb and someone is running cattle on it and so they have a fence to keep the cattle off of the highway just curious as to where you can go since there is a map that you can follow I was wondering if that is open land for you to be on my luck the property owner would probably come and try to shoot me for trespassing on his land like they do where I live
