Glad we got some much needed rain here. We hit them pretty good Xmas eve out here on the east valley. Felt your pain when you kicked that cholla I did the exact same thing with taking one from my dogs paw then waking directly into it… I’m in the east valley if you’re interested in running with another person and dog we hunt 2-3 times a week.
@@johnandrosemarywyatt977 Thanks! That little Rizzini 28ga feels like it was made for me! Look at some older videos and you will see what I mean. I couldn't hit squat!🤣
I don't do anything special. We run a lot. We get blown pads early in the season and the dogs take a few days off then back at it. By this time their pads are super tough and we rarely have any issues late season.
@@azquailadventures I would recommend that you look into the force fetch training for your dogs. It's used with a lot of pointing breeds. It's not hard to do. The versatile hunting dog by Bodo Winterhelt is a great guide.
@@johnandrosemarywyatt977 Yep...started but didn't finish last summer. My first videos of this year cover my frustration with myself for not finishing it. It's on the books to either do myself or have someone do it for me this summer. Gonna have to live with it until the season is over at this point though.
