We have spent a week at Elkhorn the last few years and I decided to share a bit of the views we get to enjoy. The ranch is a bit more than an hour outside of Tucson in southern Arizona. They've been around for nearly 80 years and are family owned and operated.
Similar people come at a similar time every year so you get to know people really well.
The focus is horseback riding on various trails around the ranch but they have massages, pickle ball, a pool, guided hikes, and more. Meals are served communally three times a day in them main lodge building. Cabins generally have a fire or wood stove and comfy beds and couches. You can sit outside with the birds since they give you a ton of food for them.
They've started doing theme weeks as well including two music weeks which was happening when we were there.
The people are all so wonderful. The ambience is so calm and simple. We just love it there.
