I grew up in Glendale, down the street from Glendale high, 67th ave and Glendale. This straight sad, reppin all this gang shit and making us look bad. The real G’s are making something of ourselves, starting our own LLC’S and making minorities more than just gang members. We gettin out the hood and making a name for ourselves. Shout out to all the browns and blacks getting out the hood and being better.
Let's be real . I grew up in Maryvale this is honestly sad. These are someone's kids out here guys and girls. Need prayer . Don't glorified this pray 🙏 everyone finds peace.
The west side is unrecognizable for me, graduated from Trevor in 07 . moved to chandler in 2010. Parents live on 35th Ave and Thomas and I just cannot believe how things have deteriorated since I left the west side . Sad to see. Those percs have destroyed so many .
Nah, *straight factz* though fr 💯 it's *real real sad,* mfkas are just *straight trashing up* *Maryvale,* and or just the *City of Glendale* in *general.*
@@vknzach trashing it for no reason. This social media , all this music that’s being pushed and created is all bad , smoking , guns , drugs , murder, this that and everything , does affect people , spiritually. People fail to realize this. It’s a Godless society. The more we push God out the worst it will only get. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:12
Bro the west side always been bad, there is more junkies now that's about it, but bro you act like the west side looked like scottsdale back in the day or something, now it's hood all the way to 91st ave before it use to end at 83rd ave, I had several homies killed on the west west, Murderville aint no joke.
Geo Ming you ain’t lying. Just seen on the news they found like 15 firearms, blues, heroin at a house on 89th and Thomas this week. But even back then it wasn’t all perfect. My freshman year (2007) a classmate was murdered on 89th and Roma or sells avenue
I grew up on 51st Ave and Glenrosa. In between Indian school and Camelback. It definitely wasn’t that bad when we first moved into our house back in the 90s. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t one of the safest neighborhoods but the way it is today, you wouldn’t think it’s the same place. It makes me sad to see what it’s become.
I born n grew up in the same area moved away in 2008, haven't been back to visit since 2017 has is changed a lot since then? I'm coming back in February
Areas usually get worse before they get better. I’m from the Low Bottoms area for South Central L.A. and have been coming out here to Phoenix since 1987 to visit and stay with my cousins every summer and I remember watching the Maryvale area get worse and worse each time I visited. For the most part Maryvale was pretty laid back and chill with the exception of a few areas but I to saw the shift of it from the late 80’s throughout the 90’s. I moved out here permanently in 2010. I can say a lot of parts of L.A. and Compton have changed dramatically and have changed for the better… it’s called gentrification. Also South Phoenix is where I live and gentrification has changed most of that section as well… South Phoenix has actually gotten a lot better than from what it was in the 80’s and 90’s for sure. They will be a time when Maryvale shifts back to good again but how long that will take is anybody’s guess.
@@coffeepandacat It wasn’t. It was actually safe enough that my entire childhood, I made it through playing all over the neighborhood. There were definitely a few times I was faced with death and bad crap but luckily, I made it through. I still party in that very area to this day. As a matter of fact, I’m going tonight. So I always drive through and see how much has changed. It’s just not the same as I remember it but everybody’s experience is different
That section calmed down alot...mostly perc heads now(its still hood tho forsure)..I grew up on 55th and Camelback and gangbanged all thru the 90s when it was the wild west shit was wild back then
I went to meet a chick in Phoenix from Tucson , took the heater and almost had to use it getting gas , then at the park , I almost clapped the paleterro man too. I knew that shit was hood when I saw a sizzlers 😂
My dad was a Mailman that had a walking mail route in Maryvale for 20 years he probably delivered mail to most of these people 😂😂😂 it’s a rough area he didn’t really want us to visit him on his route.
Bro my Gramms probly knew him lol, I probly did too back in my day when i was came into this world there were still cornfields im Maryvale, and the mall was a blast
Exactly u get it all these weirdos and shit just wanna replicate rappers n shit . It's crazy how obsessed these niggas is with gang life and shit like that when really Iin AZ there's no need for it lmao they trynna replicate LA and shit it's unnecessary af. These niggas talking about they don't bang In one video the the next they trynna rep a certain st or sum shit it's goofy fr. Weird ass niggas bruh lowlifes they need sum to rap about tho so they have to play the act. Buncha characters not really genuine ppl
Thanks for making and uploading this well put together video carnal. Growing up, I would spend every other weekend at my abuelos house 59th ave and Osborn mowing their lawn with my tio and primo right across the street from Maryvale H.S.
THAT'S SO SAD THIS IS WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE YOUTH THEY GLORIFY THINGS THAT DON'T BELONG TO THEM IT'S A SAD REALITY.....WE HAVE TO START TEACHING KIDS TO TRAVEL AND SEE THE WORLD THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO GIVE THESE AREAS MONEY TO HELP THESE KIDS EXPAND THERE MIND INSTEAD OF GIVING UKRAINE BILLIONS OF DOLLAR'S LET'S HELP OUT OUR FUTURE. ....
I'll never understand why ppl glorify the dark things of society that can be changed with the right attitude and smart/hard work. Being a criminal is nothing to be proud of. This is America, you can get enough scholarships to go to school and not have to work during studying at all. Start your own business, buy a house, vacation several times a year, etc. The land of the free and ppl choose to live a bottom of the barrel life smh
@@Sequel7 right these are just wannabe gangsters who are trying to be about that life but end up in jail or on the streets. There's nothing wrong with phoenix just a bunch of homeless on drugs, wannabe thugs, and people who are from everywhere else who still think they're in their old neighborhood. These are just normal people living in society and these people make it worse than it has to be. These youngsters like to glorify what they see in rap videos and other hood vlogs thinking they can show off here too.
@@buggcash8694 lol I feel you mane… them other clowns are just goofy… they are the type of people that always bark in these uTube threads about an area and try to down play it because it isn’t their section. I found it’s usually dudes that don’t really be outside like that so they are oblivious to what’s actually going down in a particular section. lol
It's because of the way this "master plan community" was developed. They displaced the people from the east side to build the airport. When you make people leave their homes unwillingly this is bound to happen. Look what happened in echo Park in LA
This was Dope to see coming from a black man that’s from South Baton Rouge, I thought Arizona was all deserts and dried up spots. At least I know it’s a place I can get some good weed at and chill with some like minded ppl. Stay safe out there y’all
Nah g I live in maryvale it's safe as fuck unless you a junkie or a dealer ....literally you cool pushing weed anything else it's asking for problems with thieves or the law
Maryvale! Grew up on 75th Indian school. Getting down as a youngster at Oso Park 👊 and roller skating at Rollero. Maryvale has its reputation and is being shown worldwide! Did my share of bangin on the streets back early 2000s. TGB was crackin and active when I went there. Shout out to the younger homies repping Maryvale. Stay safe out there lil homies... 🙏
Hella dope PHX is finally being shown for what it is. I'm originally from Cali and all the homies out there think it's sweet as fuck cuz they only go to Surprise or Goodyear. Lol All love for sure.
Oh people from Cali sell their house and can afford the surprise or Goodyear houses. I think it would be rare for someone from Cali to move into Maryvale
Az is chill G it's safe as fuck if your not a junkie or a damn dealer ....and fuck the perk dealers g haha no sympathy when the feds take there ass we got super junkies off blues
They all parked they cars in the lot across the way lmao it was just your boy in the circle k lot holding his own 😭😅😂 was boughta have to do him dirty til the bigger man voice kicked in 😅🌵(“it ain’t worth it, just let him have his lil alley”)
As a kid who was born n raised in west phx mainly maryvale, can't wait to go back and visit.. I lived off 46th n Indian school and off 39th and camelback
@@carlosang3l but you didn’t say those spots though… you just said 2 locations you lived at and one of those locations isn’t in Maryvale… all I’m saying.
I'm not from here homey but how u said u were gna put your hood on the map like Gucci n Zone 6, that was hard 💪🏽 but it's all AZ love homey go up with this shit dog

Back when Hair Js was in the cut next to the postoffice in Westridge mall! (Now desert sky mall). Be safe out there!
Maryvale got its recognition kuz in the 90s we had a higher murder rate then South Central LA and we are much smaller WEST SIDE MARYVALE PIRU 55TH 5LINES 👌🏼 WHOOOOP
Bro I’d love to see one on the Garfield neighborhood or playboy crips neighborhood idk if these dudes around still but I know that the area is and I’m sure you’ll run into some one who is willing to put there neighborhood on the map. The way u do these Docs really legit and super fire I’m saying your editing and the way u film and the back story u do it’s all A1, but some one these dudes you have on here really talk that talk but guarantee ain’t about that life or would strip down quicker then a stripper no bs lol no disrespect at all to the real ones you get on film and shout out to the ones who live by the sword die by the sword!! AZ definitely the coming up in a vicious way!!💯🤘🏻💪
@@phx35 nigga yall goofy u kno dam well ain't no gang violence or nun of that popping off like that you niggas bring all this unwanted negativity to the scene yourselves cuz u guys think that shit cool and wanna put up an image
All I can say if your looking for trouble you’ll find it anywhere. I graduated from Carl Hayden High in 2004 so did my husband. We now live in Goodyear. It’s what’s you make of it, some people just don’t grow up.
I grew on 83rd &Indian School in the 90's when it was still casa real behind the fry's my Nana lived at 27th& Indian School before it was called the resort and I loved my childhood
I was born in West phx n raised around maryvale till I left in 2008, still come back to visit every few years wish I could visit more.. I miss my hometown and maryvale, I grew up going to rec center and pool by Walmart out there in maryvale and El oso park
27 and Indian School more active than maryvale lets not forget 19th ave Camelback 15th ave Camelback 19th and Bethany Home it get real treacherous there's a lot of tweakers in Maryville there's a lot of shooters towards downtown Phoenix
Bro I dodge more bullets on 35th and bethany Homes then in the vale, got in more stand offs on 15th and buckeye then i would have liked to, and still Glazed the washington Northern area, got shot at 5 on 23rd and Northern in the eye bro, im still friends with Razas, VBG, Boothill, bro itts wild back in the Valley
Great documentary, I am from the east coast and lived in Phoenix for 2 years and attended ASU! Different world over there and a lot needs to be DONE as far as change! Most seem to be stuck in AZ with no goals or ambition! Even the African Americans born and raised there look at you as if you're the problem! It is a lot of money out there but they don't seem to help minorities out there at all! AZ is great to visit for vacation but to raise a family there, hell no!
It's really not that bad these people here just make it seem worse than it has to be. That's why people from everywhere are moving here to one of the fastest growing cities. Mainly people from the Midwest east coast and down south can't forget California.
Young Diddy was the most genuine Mexican homey I ever meet he showed me all these spots in Phoenix Even hung out in the vgs lil nigga was solid 👌 💯 king John Willie
Bro said you see people you knew out there. No cap. I seen somebody I know and use to be cool with in this very video. Didn’t know my guy was out there like that sheesh
Hurry up and sign me, only record label I'll ever get signed to frfr 💯 and if I'm not good enough yet, trust, I'll keep getting better & better until y'all, in fact, think I am 🤟🏽🔥 patience is key omm
Ay man im not gonna lie and say its not dangerous but i think what sets all phx hoods apart from like LA Houston Chicago new orleans nyc etc.. its like if you just mind your own buissness youll probally be good everywhere its more just drugs that get people caught up in the street life
