Im from dallas and have been here all my life. The "gangsters" here are flakes & glorify sin. I meet many, working uber 12am-5am everyday or preaching at Deep Ellum/Oak Cliff areas for Jesus. First off, Ima take it back to Riverdale road before they even build the runways for the airport. If you know you know, There was Brandon Town townhomes side by side to Cherry Hills behind the BP and on the other side QT. Across from there was the Notorious "Timberland Apts" aka RIVERWALK. If you know you know. The Cambodians were for sure the only bloods in Cherry Hills on Riverdale Rd. There were some signs of Crips and GD's around but it wasn't gangs back then, it was neighborhoods and clicks. I went to North Clayton and there is no such thing as North or South Riverdale, Boi lie. These folks here might be on the Southside now but if your history start in the early 2000s you already slow. Try mid to late 90's. West Fayetteville RD., Phenix BLVD, Norman DR, Godby Rd, Flat Shoals Rd where SSM shot up a house party across that same park y'all was shooting this video at. Riverdale was cool back then but everybody was connected, from Riverdale RD to Godby, From Goodbye to Od Nat, from Old nat to Shady Park, and all the way back around to Riverdale. Riverdale put on the rest of the Cities in Clayco. NO cap anything south of Riverdale was straight suburbs. Them folks started making a name for themselves too overtime by clicking up. Oh yeah Forest Park was probably the only other city in clayco that stood on business. On a high note though Im just glad everybody grew up and made some grown man decisions and getting to the money and finding peace because we lost too many to death and jail. I remember everything and it aint worth glorifying. 12 always been hell in Clayco before Victor Hill, he just did what he did. I will say this though, When the Southside unite with a purpose, vision, and execution; Even this new generation will see we more than just these old stories and can grow cause I see my younger brothers doing the same things my patnas was doing 15, 20 years ago.
