Another good one Spencer! Its crazy how we can get desert quail hunting days where you have to wear every piece of clothing you brought, even with all the running behind dogs.
Gratifying to watch. I'm a Tucson native as my mom was from Tombstone. I would come back every summer from back east to visit my family and wander the hills with my cousins and their friends. (one was so good with a rifle he shot a running gambel's in the head with a 22 on the run). I returned with the military, stationed in Tucson and hunted all over SE Arizona. My favorite areas were near the Titan II sites since I pulled alerts there and knew that the all pumped water that drained into the silos into holding ponds outside the cyclone fence. I never ran into Mearns quail but I did shoot a lot of Blue and Gambel's. The last time I went to Tucson I was sad to see that many areas I used to hunt, quail, doves, javelina and rabbits are now full of housing developments, industrial sites and a prison. Nothing stays the same but good memories remain. I hope to take my grandsons out to hunt small game as I saw a lot of quail on my daughters modest acreage. Thanks for this video.
I hunted Gardner canyon. That place was crazy packed with people. So I switched to e empire rd. I saw antelope, javelina, white tailed deer, turkeys, band tailed pigeons, and dove. Some awesome country you have there Spencer!
Good stuff! I can't wait to get out there one of these days. It will be a couple years. It seems you never know what type of shot you will face. (crosser, rise, etc)
