Happy halloween Phlinger. Please may you give a shout out to a little boy who loves you called Kaleb, he's 7 and has been a fan of yours for a year now.
Location number 2 @1:48 is only good if you are careful where you build because you might block the spawns of those beaver dams. If that isn't a concern then its a very pretty spot to build a waterfall base. Also the spot @6:18, if i recall correctly is the only place to find Mutton so if you build there good luck finding any.
ASE (not sure how it looks in ASA): Go to the river along the western base of the volcano and follow it south to top of the first waterfall. There's a decent flat area, with easy access to most resources and a loot drop to the east. Lots of quickly respawning river rocks for flint, stone, and metal (with the volcano nearby for crystal, obsidian, and more metal). Dense cattails give a crapload of fiber, berries, and flowers, with trees all around you. Short trips to the north let you farm pelt, pearls, oil, and organic polymer (without actually being in the cold). Plus, it's fairly safe mostly raptors, scorpions, and dilos, with the occasional rex, or argent wandering in from the north.
Personally, i'd recommend that spot near South cave, just south of that through the mini-canyon is a nice spot to build down the left looking towards the ocean and a GREAT spot to find metal just left of it. Beware of raptors though! Edit: Once you can get shotguns and stuff, you need to go down to the swamp for some stuff to tame. There are rex spawns aswell as carnos.
I just love that the pteranadon doesn't look like a flying salamander anymore lol. ASA is really beautiful now Just need it on console. Also the cliff the splits the little swamp bit between the redwoods and the green Ob was always good. One way in a small metal mt across the water can see the redwoods. Once cleared it's really flat
I like what i think you called black sands for the dinos and being close to redwoods if its where im thinking and ppl under estimate the river rock's i hit the normal metal spots but river rocks give you stone flint and metal if you use an ankie witch is great for farming for ammo since you get everything in one swoop
Phlinger, you never made a top ark maps? i look for it but none... or in what order do you think is cool to play the maps, i wonder if you will ever do that, i will like it, a personal tier list.
My last game in Ark Evolved I built at the place at 50 50 and it was great, feel like its not as great of a spot physically in Ascended just due to minor terrain changes, but still a great location. Only downside I remember was that it was a bit too sloped for my liking, but there's probably a better flat area nearby. Edit: Also, right near the spots at 6:30 are two ruins that would be fantastic to build in. From the exploring I did, it looks like just a few gates can block the entrances, and then its just a matter of restoring the walls and ceilings, and you can have a really cool safe ruin base.
@@fakename8113 Looking at the map these are a little further away than I remember, but still in the general area of that river. The first one is at 42.3 62.6, its the smaller of the two and is basically a two story ruin with 3 doorways. The second is at 30.8 73.2, this one is much more open with a few spots that can be easily blocked off, with more potential for open space when it's walled in. It's hard to see just how easy it would be to turn into an enclosed space until I take down all the trees, but I'm sure it'll be worth doing. It's also got a nice open area at 32.1 72.4 that connects to the ruin and is nearly completely surrounded by cliffs to form a nice natural Dino pen of sorts.
I want to build in the Redwoods so bad, especially in ASA given how amazing it looks. But I'm just too terrified of Thylas jumping on my flyers. Right now I'm setup 46, 13 on that waterfall just south of the moshpit.
That location you shows are 6:25ish is not buildable in ascended. That was my number one spot but I just checked it out and tried to build on it but you can’t build where drops or notes are now.
A few things ppl have to be careful of when in pve OFFICIAL, you can not build near explorer notes, supply drops, or in or around caves. Also, if you block access to resources like rare spawns/resources, notes, drops, caves, it is against CoC and devs will wipe you. A player must be able access these things via ground (on foot). Also, if you build in a player spawning spot, and a player gets stuck in your building/base, they can report you and devs will wipe you. **Herb island; there are a few drops on this island that will prevent building, also, you can not build a wall around the entire island as this will prevent ground access to the drops, tons of ppl will come here to safely farm resources AND dinos, so expect a lot of traffic that you will not be able to block** Choose wisely when choosing a base location; 1) don't build in player spawns; trapping a player in your base is against CoC and dev wipeable. 2) don't build near or around notes; blocking access to notes via ground is against CoC and dev wipeable. (game will say "can not place structure in this location") 3) don't build near or around caves; blocking access to caves via ground is against CoC and dev wipeable. (game will say "can not place structure in this location") 4) don't build near or around supply drops; blocking access to drops via ground is against CoC and dev wipeable. (game will say "can not place structure in this location") 5) don't build near or around rare resources or dino spawns which will destroy them; since this is the only map available and transfers aren't allowed, people will get very angry if you destroy rare resources/dino spawns like beaver dams, organic poly, giga spawns, spino spawns, thyla spawns, ESPECIALLY if the dino drops items needed for boss fights. Destroying rare spawns is against CoC and devs can wipe you. Plan base location carefully. Good luck 😊
Boo!👻 Why do people say Boo? Boo, including variations such as "bo" or "boh," goes back around 500 years. It seems to be Scottish in origin, but some trace it back to a Greek word that meant "to cry aloud, roar or shout." And some say boo imitates the sound of a sad calf. Booing as a sound of discontent seems to come in to use in the 18th century.
Pve base locations 1,2,3.. okay yeah no by number 3.. i now see this should be titled "base locations gor pve and bobs"...cant stomach watching more.. please start editing down and not so much rambling.
