I was playing scorched earth once and I was next to a pond, I was far away from other hostiles around the pond and I thought I was safe. As I was building my first thatch base a massive badger thing burst out at me and destroyed my thatch base and gave me ptsd.

Tears start building up in my eyes cause the first time i saw a Purlovia i fell in love with it (After the initial scare and the soiled pants). I was dreaming of tame and breed some, get a red/yellow one, name it Typhlosion and ride it into the sunset. Then the fact that they are not rideable creatures came as a hammer smashing my dreams.

The way I trigger them to unburry: pick up a nearby small animal with my argy and drop it on the mound.

It took me a little bit but I finally completed the achievement where you catch all of the dinosaurs on the island. But these cowering dogs were the last ones I needed to get, the hard part is preventing my gigantopithecus from one punching them to death

I went flying around 2 days in the redwoods looking for them ( im mobile so no thyla, bitter-sweet about that) anyway I gave up finding non.. how i tame them now is just have the gear on me always and wait untill one finds ME on my ventures hehe, I live in redwoods so luckily now have a few

Not sure if it was a thing at the time of this video, but Dire Wolves can use their smell ability to mark Purlovia for you, and Troodon's can see them with their scout ability.

I'm guessing because this is aimed at the newer players (And saying that I still learn stuff from this series) that the whole using a Tek Helmet to spot them (Ark on Easy Mode) didn't get a look in? Also agree with the other commenters that it's shame you cannot ride them. Who wouldn't want to ride around on a giant honey badger? I mean come on they're larger than Direwolfs and you can ride them.

Mind you, you don't even need a saddle for direwolves (not that there is one) yet you can't ride purlovias lol

I have been playing Ark for about a month and watch your videos almost religiously. Yesterday I played and found a level 285 Purlovia. I wasted 50 tranq darts on it and it did not go unconscious. I want one so bad!!!

so if an enemy dino goes over the purlovia, they will jump out and attack? cause i can't get them to jump out... unless they don't jump out... but that don't make sense.

A stegosaurus has a plate setting that makes it so you can't be knocked off, so you could just shoot from the back of one of those

I trapped one and used 200 tranq darts and 100 tranq arrows still weren't enough for a 170 that's straight BS

When you tame a dino it's wild movement speed is slightly increased after taming. That's why your said rex you just tamed can outrun a wild Rex and escape it. It isn't increased by much but enough to make it faster then wild ones

And he said bollos and you cannot bolo a purlovia only chain bolos and large bear traps but they do not work it only holds them for like 5 SEC not enough time to knock it out you hold a giga in a large bear trap won't longer than you can hold a purlovia in a large bear trap. So two times in this video he was absolutely wrong one when he said put food on the table purlovia that's an absolute no if you want to keep your loot hidden and you cannot bolos what you absolutely cannot. But I do like seeing people talking about their qualities and abilities I was hoping I'd learn something new but in fact I had to correct the video

Cute video but you definitely underestimate the usefulness and power of the palovia. Perhaps you should check out xonewingx to see how good they truly are when used to their full potential
