Guys so snow owls produce owl pellets SAVE ALL OF THOSE. When you get a Gacha which is a creature that Neebs would love. They eat EVERYTHING. Left over stone, buildings, literally everything. You find them in the forest biome which is in a sinkhole in the wasteland and they produce things like silica pearls, oil, and other materials by popping crystals out of their back you eat the crystal it gives you the stuff. Anyways owl pellets in the inventory of the gacha make the Gachas eat faster and produce special crystals that can give you badass weapons and stuff like that.

All the caves for artifacts/boss fight are a long ways and filled with LOTS of animals over LVL 150-260. You'll need boss fight army just to go through the cave. Also theres an underground beautiful forest place to live peacefully in.

You guys should tame those bigfoots. Me and my friends tamed four of them and they are perfect for just about everything. They collect fiber, chitin, berries, meat, hide and are really powerful. My tribe would go out with all four of them and would demolish Rexs, Brontos, and the only things that we wouldn't try to fight were Gigas, alphas, Yutyrannus. If you guys do end up taming some, name one Squancho for me.

@@davidschulte8822 in all fairness the first few days of extinction cave stuff could be tamed. Think it's been fixed now but we had a pack of wolves that were OP. We were hunting corrupted gigas with the pack we had.

You won't be able to take flyers into the caves BUT, you can get away with a gasbag. Be strategic on where you trying to land and if you land on the ground make sure the gasbag is full of air. You take a massive damage reduction when it's fully inflated. Go the extra mile and make the saddle for the gasbag and you can have 2 people ride on it. Good luck you guys. I want to see you tame those Titans.

I commented a few weeks back on a video suggesting you guys participate in games done quick. They do a lot of charity efforts especially towards cancer. Pro tip: when falling from high up on a mount (simon)... right before you land, dismount. Unmounted creatures take no fall damage, and the act of dismounting breaks the characters momentum. You could literally fall from an obelisk and take no damage.

I love seeing you guys try these caves, but, well, you really need to come prepared for an artifact cave. Also, an observation: the wolves and bears coming out of that cave were extremely high level. One wolf was 160, and one of the bears was 188! Tame them suckers!

I don't understand how after 3 years of playing this game, they don't or won't grasp how essential high level tames are ! It's honestly bizarre how illogical it is. The Snow owl was another great example. Grab a low level 28 Snow owl, shoot as many tranq arrows in as fast a time as you can and tame it with meat, Done... and what do you get? a level 40 tamed Snow Owl at best that will no doubt die before it heals anything. Whereas, if they took 5 minutes to look for a higher leveled (Say 120) one, kite it back to the trap, (they already should have a Ptera but that's another issue), 1 person shoot Tranq DARTS every 5 seconds while the other two guard the area, once it's out, someone goes and looks for mutton, Done. So my level 120 Snow Owl, will tame out to about 170 if I do everything right and that snow owl can now be a breeder. But they don't think of any of this, HOW? At least try and find Mutton

Just a tip about Tranq Arrows (with bow or crossbow) it takes 5 seconds for the torpor to fully take effect. So shooting it with more than 2 arrows per 5 seconds you are only doing about 50% of the arrow's effect, and are more likely to kill what you are shooting.

Also, Snow Owls have Thermal vision, works kind of like the Tek helmet. C to use it. If you guys manage to beat the 3 Titans you'll have access to the full Tek Armor, which is a lot easier than the traditional way on the Island.

The snow owls dont poop, but puke owl pellets. Those owl pellets can be used to tame gachas and are basically fertilizer. While creatures are frozen they take reduced damage and heal, whether they are friend or foe. Also the dive bomb doesn't do much damage, but it does slow creatures down. While they are slow they take reduced damage so it isnt viable when fighting. It is good for retreating though. Also velonosaurs cant shoot when they have no stamina. Shooting drains their stamina very fast. Also they do not hurt allies with their shooting so dont be afraid to fire into a crowd because only hostiles will get hurt. I'll just post basic info about new creatures, even though they wont read this, and if they do they'll still want to do science and learn things the hard way

Snow owls can also dive like griffins and freeze midair to land quickly and safely. On top of that, they also have heat vision.

I'm so torn watching your ark series because I'd love to see you guys tame some high levels, and actually prepare for things like caves; however, at this rate of never learning, the ark series will never end. And that's cool too.

PRO TIPS: ~BREED ANIMALS: Tame a high level mated pair, then get A LOT of babies. ALWAYS leave the highest level MALE AND FEMALE behind when going on missions. This way if everything gets killed on the mission, you are not starting from scratch, you can always breed more. ~Rollie Pollies (Doedicurus) are the best way to harvest element dust from lamp posts and benches. ~The snow owl's "C" attach is inferred vision. Very good for finding unseen threats, and hard to see things like bee hives. Their "owl pellets" poop are also the favorite food of Gacha and the best thing to tame them with. Once you have a Gacha (Hidden Forest) place the snow owl in front of it and set the Gacha to "enable resource harvesting". Then the Gacha will automatically pick up the pellets and produce much better crystals (Better weapons, armor, rare resources). ~In order to get past the powerful animals in the ice cave you need to bring a bunch of "tank" animals like Dire Bears and Thylocoleos (Bear-Cats), that can take a lot of hits and deal a lot of damage. Velonasaur's make very good mounts because, with high melee damage, you can kill advancing dinos before they can injure you with its "C" attack.

Even about 15 minutes late, I see none who have disliked this video. That is how things should be. Also, when you go to get managarmars, or the flying ice ray bois, it has to be trapped. You can't chase it. Sadly the Hodge podge won't work, but you will need a snow owl to freeze it long enough to trap.

Hey boys, keep up the good work, the lazer face, uses stamina for its turret ability while being ridden, and the owl, can heal taming creatures that are almost dead while you are taming them, and you should pup stamina on the owl for its ability, its basically an improved griffin, and at night in the domes or in finding small creatures the thermal vision ability is helpful but also burns stam.

First off, love your Ark vids. You guys are hilarious! As for taming pens for fliers: I have found that using two of the gate doors from the S+ mod works great! The S+ gate doors can have a close delay set. I set the entry gate to a 5 second close delay and leave the exit gate at reg auto close. I've used this method on argents, elemental featherlights (from Primal fear mod), snow owls and griffins. Works great!

Neebs...once you get an owl you guys need to tame a gacha. Set it by the owl to auto-collect its pellets. You will never need fertilizer again!

Unless the server settings allow building inside caves, you cannot build directly above caves either. So the cave likely tunnels under where you were trying to lay the foundation.
