@@brehh1337 was playing on Valgureo on official servers. Could have gone further, of course, but the server bugged out and was unplayable. Could even travel to an obelisk to transfer because of the static 300+ ping that came about randomly
@@dylanblack4753 Not on console, game is downright fucking terrible on next gen if you don't have motion blur on because wildcard doesn't know what optimization is.
@@killaklowngaming3088 No. You knock them out and drag them into a dungeon and torment them until they starve to death, and then you use their crossbow to kill new players.
@@brandon9172 or lock them in a cage so they lose their max level player and have to start fresh and you raid them and put the dinos they cryod in front of the cage
To be fair, the default private servers are garbage, and creating your own actual server takes time. Most people just hop straight into official PvP servers since those are the main thing marketed, and requires no setup time
in ark, some people will use the character creator normally and make their character nice while some, will make themself look life they survived Chernobyl.
@@conner4385 and people keep calling it a bad game it’s like bruh, first of all it only came out 5 years ago, it has some of the most diverse environments, it’s an open world survival game with a shit time of features (taming, raiding, ect), it has 8-9 massive maps with there own perks and disadvantages. They’ve made one of the most extensive open world survival games in history (which are one of if nothing the most hardest games to make) and people are complaining about it having bugs, it ofc is gonna have bugs being that large.
@@gordobutnot5365 I mean their beta testing and balancing skills are good awful. Let's add a grenade that you can throw the explodes into a million tiny light particles. After we have had a problem with people turn lights on and off crash servers. I quite literally threw 1 grenade walked over to my tribemate and said bet I can roll the server. He said bet so I threw 10 and rolled the server. Ark devs are some of the most naive/thoughtless devs ever.
Ark could be perfect. But god damn the coders who “optimized” the servers and who ever decide that a single lvl 40 t rex would require 8 consecutive hours of taming with prime meat should be jailed for cruel and unusual punishment. This game also enslaved me to the Chinese and their wyverns.
@@avidcloud1721 If a game like Conan or even Rust can have decent gather rates on official servers, why cant Ark? Ark official servers require more attention than a full time job, thats insanity
enjoy the beginning while it last, miss when I built on the beach, when I first seen a Wyvern, when my neighbor kept coming and picking me up on a pt and dropped me repeatedly, the good times
I used to have a guy come on his fucking robotic god pterodactyl and drop goods in my house and fly me around this happened everyday id log in and he'd have supplies left for me and then one day I logged in and he'd locked me in a steel box and I had to make a new character, The betrayal stays with me.
@@dollyri1995 I didn’t have a clue how to even take a pt, didn’t know what a bola was, I somehow tamed a 150 sarco on the beach with a slingshot or crossbow, mind you this was during small tribes pvp, I had no clue what a cryopod was and I built a cage for my sarco made of Dino gates and spikes,
This is the great ancestor of Beef Testosterone himself, absolutely incredible as it is was thought that all traces of his existence was lost in the scared history textbooks burned down in the library of Alexandria.
This game is an enigma. I played it a few times, started playing with some online friends, got addicted, played both with friends and solo for 2k hours, and then I realized how unbelievably time-consuming it is. ARK requires an insane amount of commitment.
As a player with over 12k hours I am absolutely envious seeing someone so fresh playing that they're scared in the easiest zone in the easiest map. I never forget my first day of ark, being absolutely terrified of everything. Oh my seeing a guy on a T rex and thinking he's a god LOL those were the days
honestly i'd love to see charlie play this game with a couple friends every once in a while. it would be funny to see his experience throughout a playthrough
@@GameJunkyard11 Even worse was the fact I had created a whole city on the south western islands in ragnarok, with a beach tavern, wooden docks, a wooden tower, a stone city, a tatch camp site, a dino breeding zone, like 30 wyverns, rock drakes, a bassilik, two reapers, and loads of other dinos native and others that had to be transfered in, metal buildings built on the natural stone pillars, just so much, which I made all by myself... So sad...
Ya know, as an experienced ark player, I can say that in the first couple times playing ark, it’s terrible, and with all my 2 years of experience I can say, it’s still terrible but easier. After like 2000 hours
Kind of how I felt. I played for a quite a while, but only because I had friends that play. I got decent at it and made a lot of progress, the problem was that by the time I felt like I actually understood the game, I realized I didn't actually like it at all. I felt regret when I spent some time in the endgame, that I had spent all of this time working towards something that ultimately never got truly interesting or fun.
