I think you are doom saying for content.... I am about to stop watching your videos because everything is negative. Mainly your content is "this company is trash". EVEN if it is true, no one wants to hear it. Syntac is successful because he has a product that he can sell, and people want it. What do you expect. We were promised a completely new Ark and we got a pretty reskin. ASA had alot of the same problems as ASE. New dinos here and there only goes so far.

a huge part of the problem is the game is unfortunately locked behind a sertin level of hardware and the average ark player doesnt have the greatest PC. fact is that global economic dificulties have contributed to the over-all problem as a whole in a lager way than is being looked at. not that players dont want to. more that they just can't.

And I wish more players would just be honest about it. People aren't playing not because the game is bad but because it's hard to run. On a gtx 1070 I had a miserable experience. When I upgraded to a 4080 super it's really fun and it looks stunning. But saying that one doesn't play asa because there's not enough maps or there are bugs and glitches is copium imo. Those same bugs still exist in evolved

This right here!! I knew instantly when it was announced that it wouldnt run on my PC and new the console version would be garbage. I switched to a GeForce membership and it's been nothing but a blast...outside the obvious issues with mods and updates.

I know I struggle to play ASA largely due to poor performance, and my rig is able to handle graphics better than those in ASE. Still I only have a 3080 and that took a lot of work to get. I couldn't hope to get anything on par with the 4000 series

The problem with ASA for me is the constant game crashing. I play with my 7 yr old son and he even told me "Why don't we just play the old Ark". I love ASA but if this doesn't get fixed soon im going back to Evolved

My favorite map is Crystal Isles but that's not out until 2025. We've already built our base on the island and tame some dinos etc. Not much more left to do until all maps are out. So I play other games in the meantime and come back a few days. I used to play daily for hours but other games are out or coming out and people want to play other things. Once all maps are out maybe things will change.

The playercount is that high BECAUSE OF ASA. We came BACK to try ASA and move to ASE. This is a bad argument. Also for the single players they don’t get to even save their worlds…

Last time I played ascended on my GTX 1660 super it didn't do so great.. Lol. Hopefully sometime I can upgrade but right now it sucks I can't enjoy the graphics at 40 fps at least.

I think once all the maps are out, things might improve. Updates should improve things by then even though they usually break things. Everyone is tired of the 1st 3 maps so far so the numbers will dip. I'm enjoying watching Monarky still playing it.

I agree with what you're saying and I honestly cannot wait for aberration to finally come out! But im also expecting a delay! GP on the otherhand has been around a lot longer than you think. Maybe its a change of style for his videos but he has ark survival evolved content on his channel also from 9 years ago. Keep us updated as often as you can 👍

Lets just hope the UE update brings the performance boost thats promised. It's not that people aren't interested. For a lot of ARK players, it's a significant investment just to be able to play the game enjoyably. I'm playing on a 3060 and while playable, at times it is far from enjoyable.

Side note, the 3060 is the most commonly used GPU according to Steam, I think if Wild Card could target medium to high settings at a solid 60 FPS for the 3060 at 1080p, that would significantly open up the player base.

ASE is supported by Unofficial servers and sadly those are slowly dying out. Many that I know of or have played on have been shutting down servers or completely because community donations have been dwindling. I don't expect the player size to go down but which ever survives will have a massive player base. I'd expect the numbers on ASA to get better as we have more content available, performance increases, and hardware is more readily available. Having talked to a lot of people about the issue with Ark content creation currently and why so many people have turned away from people like GP is that content creators have a very glass half empty perspective. I started returning to this channel and Raas this month since it seems the perspective is getting a bit more balanced. ASA is in a weird place, and it is what it is.

Whats killing ark is them taking to long to come out with the updated maps. ase is never gong to get any better then what it is right now. its to limited and wild card knows this its why they abandoned it. personally for me i don't care what their player count is because it doesn't matter it will die. if anyone is complaining about asa they need to shut up and go play something else because realistically wild card could have just abandon the game all together for something else. ark is an old game and they could have just ended it, this tells me they do love the game them self's and they are trying to bring it into next gen gaming.

My biggest problem is the Dino’s being locked behind pay walls. In ase we had dlc but on a server if a friend transfers a dlc Dino you could still use it now they spawn in your single player game and you can’t tame or try them out

SO MANY bugs.... keep having to quit the game and go back in due to stupid bugs, like suddenly not being able to get inventory access to a container... map doesn't keep updated, POI not where the person actually is... just so many problems. Fix the problems!

It's losing its footing because of the many factors. It's a reskin of an old game with game breaking bugs that has extra things, its has P2W/PTP dinos for stupid prices and they're in the base game to troll you/rub it in your face, the ridiculous hardware it needs to be played, Snail's shady schemes regarding modder's creatures. I have a game breaking bug on mine after spending months playing through it. Did they fix it? No. Will I play this game with a fresh character in a hope the bug is stuck with my very first survivor? No. I've lost all of my dinos due to the inventory bug, tried everything but nothing works. so thanks alot SnailCard. I'll give your game an honest review on Xbox, which quite frankly won't be the glowing one you expect. Ark has lost its magic and I feel cheated for the price I paid for it.

Its not even about official content, even content creators who play modded 99% of the time are losing views EverynightxRiot, Mr. Meola...others I don't care about personally; I mean when a video is getting barely 23k views or 19k views vs 300k views for ark content it says a lot. There were many solutions to this, don't sell out to Nitrado, listen to your community, don't sell out to Tencent. Had they tossed them aside and sold out to Microsoft who is doing a fantastic job with Minecraft they'd be a better hands. I even stopped doing ark content on my other channel going from 170k views to 30k views in two years it hurts and now I just play for fun on my off time because its not something people care about anymore ASE or ASA its irrelevant on the internet. I'd rather watch Lethal Company content at this point lol.

I honestly believe they’re holding themselves back by releasing maps in the old order. I’m confident most players are more interested in getting the old content, such as… Maewings, Tek Stryder, incubation chambers, etc. it might be time for them to think about releasing out of order for the sake of saving the game

yes, release the newer maps! which require assets and creatures from the old maps (Gen2 and Fjordur for example need content from all previous story maps) which wouldn't be there, therefore breaking the map... perhaps not such a great idea

Alot of people are so damn pessimistic when it comes to ASA. Its still a relatively NEW game. Give it time!! Lmao. Hell, i have a pretty large range to different games i play and when it comes to ASE, i never even HEARD of the damn game until after ALL of the base maps and a couple of the extension maps were released. I think there were 3 extra maps. Put it this way. The very first map ASE got after i discovered it was i believe valguero. If thats how its spelled lol. Yall get my drift. ASE was like 5 years old already when i discovered it lol. So we still got a long ways to go with ASA. people are acting like this is the last year for Ark PERIOD. 😂😂😂

Abb is a map that a lot of people like but don’t actually like to live there I lived in abb on smalls for 5 years there was 8 servers and we were the only abb server with players and with the bugs and meshing and exploits from bobs tall tales they will be used to raid everybody off abb extinction has no base location that are good leaving ark dead for another 3 or 4 months by then more new games will be out it’s almost over for ark

Realistically until we see an optimization that allows even mid lvl pcs to run anything better than lowest setting ark will remain in a slump.i have what I would consider a high mid tier pc ( ryzen 7 5800x3d and rx 6800xt with 64gb of the best ram I could buy + overclocking) and am currently playing omega solo on a rented server on the center and if I enter the swamp or go to lava island I'm lucky to pull 30 fps on low settings.

Single player is trash Bugs from old game still present. Different platforms offer different playing experiences, crashing or not. Roadmap of maps being launched wasnt fan favorites, example wtf asked for scorched earth.... Both ASE and ASA is live still and splitting community People have a hard time playing pvp 24/7... So much more

Lol, I play on the series s and have no problems 😂. In a 6 to 10 man tribe. I'm also the MOB builder. I make massive, massive builds. 😂 I do better than my series x dudes and pc dudes😂. Oh, what? I can't see the loot drop beams😂 who cares. I can run boss fights, do caves, and smash the tek cave every time, easily tame the carch, Shasta, and other difficult tames.

It is the same game with better graphics if you have a high-end pc. Consoles look like garbage, even the series x. Maybe after the amd upgrade, that it should've been released with since that is the gpu they use, but it will still be lacking the other maps and any new actual content not mods. The game will probably die before all the maps are released.

Personaly i dont get why ppl stick to the old game when the new one have so insanely much QoL improvements and updated maps etc sure its limited on maps atm but still, why would anyone wanna keep so much of the old shit like cabels to run power, pipes for water the bad building system having to put gasoline in bunch of crafting stations instead of run them of a geni or the multiple sizes of teleporters etc makes no sence to me playing the old version will all those improvements on the new one, the only reason i could possibly think of is the limitation on maps and dinos atm but thats quite dumb reason to stick with the old
