@@Eman-San it's horrible because they half-assed the pve and did it in a way that retained the really bad pvp problems the game had. so instead of changing the pvp so that it was fun, or adding pve that actually made it interesting beyond pvp, they opted to sprinkle stuff that kind of looked they might be thinking of perhaps maybe possibly adding pve, while refusing to make pvp fun. I'm convinced the devs of Last Oasis are the people that loved griefer gank squads in UO and love games that claim to be pve but really are just grindfest loopers. They don't seem to have any actual concept of what makes pvp fun or what makes fun pve.
You're right that the enabling regarding Ark's mess and Wildcard-Snail games needs to stop and thankfully, people who used to faithfully cover Ark have starting to understand that. It is funny watching ardent supporters still raving in one twitter post on it then hours later then complaining about crashes and other issues.
As a crazy fan of Last Oasis, I see that this game is slowly reviving. After 3 years of being dead it is rising up again with 1 developer and a pack of like 3-6 modders who are actually fighting to make the game better. The developer breaks staff regularly, but he is still doing good as he is the first modder of Last Oasis and did some impressive progress moving the game in a way it seems the most logical to move at all And yes, I was playing since the first month of the game
My first few minutes on Aberration, I fell in a hole that pushed me into the mesh, I finally managed to get out of it, only to constantly hit mesh walls after that. Ended up letting that character be eaten and made a new one to fix it
last oasis was such an awesome game, i loved it before the devs made probably the worst changes they could have its honestly impressive. id love to see it make a comeback, but we all know the chances of such a miracle of a dev team becoming self aware is so low.
They are not, but they have hired a person who is. Basically, the game is now develop by 1 person only and this development is slowly fixing the issues which the game had. But slowly, really slow
Did Nightingale ever release dyes or put them on a roadmap? It's nice to be able to change the model of a piece of clothing, but what I'd really want is to change it's color. For all the nice looking clothes in their promo, the actual look was pretty terrible unless you willingly gimped your stats. Also, I wish they put in a way to refund all essences and resources in your gear/house, for that next character. Not transfer builds or gear, but just the raw resources and essence. I sank a decent chunk of time in getting my stuff and I'm not overly keen on starting again for more or less the same story, told differently, better probably (I enjoyed the freeform of the original, so more rails doesn't necessarily appeal to me).
I'm 100% with you on dyes. The devs confirmed that it's planned but no statement on when it'll come out. There's been some speculation on the official discord that it might not be too far off because several gear pieces in last week's trailer had colours that aren't available in the current version (but that doesn't necessarily mean anything).
@@prophetsspaceengineering2913 we'll see! Given how the trailer and initial outfit looked great, then we got uncostumizable outfits, I wouldn't put too much hope into it, but it's good to know there's some!
Pretty rule of thumb to go by, if it's owned/published by Snail games, it's gonna be a dumpster fire. Look at dark and light, just follow it's rise and fall. It was supported at drop for a short while, but wasn't supported after that. Snail games focuses on dropping the game, gets their lump sum of sells, then switches in a skeleton crew to sluggishly crawl by with few if any patches/fixes as they move devs to another project to vomit up and get the lump sellable drop from. It's the usual cycle they follow. Snail games and everyone associated with them are shady af, hands down. Buying anything from them makes you a sucker.
Forever skies nice game but it would help to have a muti player . friends would love to make ship fly around gater stuff an build bases but your just limited since no muti player base with friends
4 Player Co-op is coming to Forever Skies. It wasnt a high priority during Early Access because, well, there wasn't much content. But as the game nears exiting Early Access and drops for PS5, that 4 player co-op will be there.
oh god. they finally started making the game interesting beyond bad pvp gameplay, and instead of continuing trying to make Last Oasis something worth playing they decided to just flop back? I actually was kind of hopeful they were finally headed in the right direction, this is very sad news.
Console woes? if you are on pc console is given favour when 2 players are joining a server, if you use the que system you will stay there indefinitly unless you leave and constantly re-join, most players trying for 3 hours+. the usual Ark debacles.
