Could that be why I'm having a problem. Thought I had the floor down properly but when it comes to placing the wood walls up the trunk, I realized I needed to add two more floors which I cant because of "no foundation support" no matter what I do to try and fix it.
@@jennapriaulx7895 could be man, If you can't get 5 ceilings down before you hit the tree then it will not be right. but you could change the design though, if you run just 4 ceilings from the centre then work from there building out the levels. They won't match up the same, you will have to sort of make it up as you go.
@@ThePilgrimzProject Is it better to go for the larger trees or smaller? It kinda hard t judge, so should you use a larger or smaller while eyeballing?
I am 23 years old, i have watched many RU-vid videos in my life and this one is by far the most detailed with regards to viewers in mind. I built this entire base on my server with ease due to how well this video is put together. Thank you and your effort has not gone unoticed. I have never commented on a RU-vid video before but i felt like if there was ever going to be a video then it would be this one. Thank you again people should use this video as reference on how to ad hear to viewers.

You know, it takes a lot to really hold my attention, I have ADHD, but for me to be able to finish this video to the very end takes a lot and I enjoyed this video to the fullest extent. I am excited to try this build, I only hope my focus remains as much on the creating as it did on the video. Thank you so much and I hope to see more builds for consoles as beautiful as this.
Wow that takes some doing, I really enjoyed this build and I wanted to make a comprehensive tutorial, glad you enjoyed it Bitsy thanks. I have Bipolar disorder and concentrating on anything for more than 20 mins is really difficult some times but the building I can do for hours and just get lost in it. It's the editing that gets me :) took over a week to get this done but it's well worth it when people enjoy it. I have a lot of buildings in my head and I will stick to building without mods and such so it's all good for console, people appreciate that

@@Robin_Winters013 - Still working on it. This game frustrates me because there are way too many snap points. No matter how carefully you place your fence foundations, pillars and walls on the ground floor, by the time you get to the third floor, door frames, pillars and walls won't snap in place because something was off two floors down. It's maddening. If it wasn't for being able to do barrel rolls on a Pteranodon I'd have deleted this game. lol
Hi. I finally figured it out! It IS possible to build those triangle roofs on console without changing the settings. For some reason some of the snap points you use at about 01:07 don't seem to work on console. I figured out that it is the triangle ceilings that cause the triangle roofs to be obstructed which is really weird. I also figured out that the triangle roofs snap back and down from the bottom of outward facing walls. So with the small balconies I started by placing the 3 wood walls with the dark side facing out. I then snapped the triangle roofs from the bottom of the walls to the base without the triangle ceilings causing any obstruction and I added the triangle ceilings in after each triangle roof and replaced the wood walls the other way around at the end.. Tada! With the flight deck I built a row of 1 high outward facing wood walls around it above the triangle ceilings not below. I then created a ceiling with triangle ceilings mirroring the flight deck below. I deleted some of the triangle ceilings from underneath and managed to place all the triangle roofs correctly snapping them to the bottom of the outward facing walls. I had some trouble with the triangle roofs in the corners where the flight deck meets the base but if you add more walls it is possible. When all the triangle roofs where in place I deleted the mirrored ceiling and replaced any deleted triangle ceilings from above and finally deleted the walls.. done! :) I hope this helps anyone who has come across this issue on console..
I love this build! In all my time in Ark I’ve never built something this lovely! It took 2 days and boy were those triangle roofs a pain but I absolutely love how it turned out!
You sir, are the only person who can make a two hour Ark video that I actually want to watch in its entirety. I don’t even want to skip sections that I know are just repeated. Phenomenal build! I’m currently working on my own version of your Ragnarok Jungle treehouse, but someday I hope to get to get to a build similar to this one.
Honestly, I don’t know anything about creating tutorials, or video editing. I figure, even if, say, 30min (totally just throwing a number out there) of the video could have been edited out; I don’t know that it would necessarily be worth the time it would take to go through and make even more cuts. It’s very complete, which is very much appreciated by some of us, and it’s not too hard for others to skip through some of the more repetitive bits. I just figure, keep doing what you’re doing, because it’s great!
@@amd1857 Yeah you are right about that, I would usually show a section then say this needs to be repeated, then skip the video forward to where it is all built. I think showing the base coming together gives a better sense of where you are up to and how it all fit together. I have been looking at Fujian earthen buildings from China, they are small fortified houses and compounds, they would make great pve bases. Going to build a few and see what they look like
The Pilgrimz Project Ooooo, I just looked up that building type. I think that’ll make for a very interesting build; one that I would be very apprehensive to tackle myself, but I’m sure the required technique are in your bag of tricks. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with! 👍
this is a fantastic looking build.if you try to build this i have one recommendation, build all your center pillar walls all the way up right after laying the foundations, then do your stair case so that your floors all meet the same levels, and your inner walls dont get thrown off by ceilings that are in the way
I would also suggest placing all, or as many as possible, wood ceilings with the logs pointing in towards the tree. I think it would make it look a lot cleaner.
I built this on my single player game using the redwoods anywhere mod to put a redwood in my favorite base location. I was worried it would be the wrong size but it worked out. Thanks for posting this! It was very easy to follow along.
I LOVE this video guide; you did an amazing job! I built the entire thing in about 5 or 6 days but I only had an owl, not a quetz. The guide was perfect with the materials list, the step by step instructions and the vantage points you gave for reference. I loved the music as well. Too many RU-vid videos have God-awful music with either rap music or trance but your selection of more classical and folk music really was a nice change. The only problem I ran into with the build was the same problems other people were having. The sloped triangle roof pieces simple refused to snap into place upside down with the pointy end going inwards. Also I could not get the stone railing to go around the greenhouse walls without destroying the glass. Otherwise magnificent video and I am finally proud of something I built in Ark.
😁 Really glad you liked the video I know exactly what you mean about the music lol Great to know people are building this and enjoying it thanks. The triangle roof snap point was patched you can not snap them under ceilings any more which sux because you could build some cool looking things with that and it never worked right on PS4 The stone railings can be a bit tricky, you have to cycle through the snap points until it sits on the triangle ceiling.

You should read this. Following this video was so fun. The directions were simple and easy to follow. Video has a good pace. I dont hate the music. I built this wonderful tree house and it was so fun I will say this. I dont understand (as a new builder in ark) how it all works together so much. But I can go watch "beginner build mechanics" for that. Well made video. Thumbs up for sure!!!
Hey, I saw this tree house design and just had to try it out. I started it yesturday and completed it today. Your video was a perfect guide and really well laid out. I was totally thrilled with the tree house till the next video showed your fire wyvern cathedral..... I love a challenge so game on 😁
I hadn’t noticed whose video this was (I had fallen asleep while watching another build and RU-vid queued this one up for me, so I woke up about 15 minutes in) but as I was watching but I was thinking, “wow, this is super detailed. I could actually build this thing”. And then I noticed it was Pilgrim’s Project. I should have known from the beginning. There is, however, a HUGE PROBLEM! 😡 .... I want all these houses in REAL LIFE!!! Hahahaha! Seriously, are you an architect or something in real life? If you’re not, you should be. Thank you for taking the time to show and inspire us with these beautiful builds.
lol thanks Shamisen had a few people say 'I wish I could live there' if I ever won the lotto I would probably spend my time building in real life. I am not a professional architect although I have probably studied enough and watched enough documentaries to have a go at some real classes. One word - WOW! I know it takes long to do some builds and this was super interesting and informative - I have learnt a lot and now will have to make some major changes to my own base - ok, it isn't mostly wood and brick but copper (steampunk mod) - this looks like it is worth trying out - I never liked the Redwoods area because I couldn't cut down the trees, but now I see why you need a tree that can't be cut down - thanks so much for sharing - you are a great teacher - keep on building

Wow! I’m fairly new to ark still, but I find people really liking my builds on ark, I’ve learned a lot through other people who inspire me to build amazing bases on ark. Videos like these really help me understand more about the game’s building mechanics, and inspire me to build these types of builds as well! Thank you for uploading this, I am learning so much! If there’s a way for me to send pictures of my builds to you please tell me I’d like some more advice, and maybe other suggestions to help me build even more better things!!!!!!
First of all, suscribe and click that like ,this man really deserve it, secondly this tutorial is top charts, no just as you explain it and provide all the materials on a big list but also you”slow your building” just to show how to position everything correctly (once you show it your building speeds up that is what happen on other people’s videos that are much harder to follow)very easy to follow even if you are a Low level builder , great video and great work

I built this beast on the cluster I play on..awesome that it even has a crawlspace to place generators and run electrical and water all while being hidden in the floor..amazing ideas man..keep em coming...

This is really lovely, tried with metal platform and the inner walls were just wonky so I pulled that all up and started again with plain wood platform. I did figure out a better way (less materials) on the green houses 32:26 instead of putting 3 squares with 3 angled walls, do the 3 triangles on the top of the center stone walls and then put the sloped square roof pieces from that, the triangle roofs snap inbetween, so saves 6 pieces x 3 , 18 less green house pieces in total.
I would also say it looks like you don’t need the 3 triangle greenhouse ceilings, just skip that and put the wood ceilings he puts on top. It seems redundant and they get covered anyway. So that would save another (3x3=9) nine greenhouse pieces. Combine that with your suggestion of building the sloped roof down from the ceiling pieces and you save quite a few materials.
This was amazingly fun to build and your walk-through was spot on. I had to make a few minor adjustments because I did it with CKFR but it turned out amazing. Thanks so much for sharing!!

Once again you have outdone yourself buddy, I'd love to get you on my single player world to build me a class base like this one or one of the many other unique builds that you do. Keep it up man love your vids. If you ever have time to spare you can always drop onto my single player and do a build for me I'd love to have you on my game and have one of you super builds to use as my base as all my base building is square or rectangles not great at all lol. Well done on this one as always tho fair play. I am trying to build this one myself at the mo but my skills in building are limited but I'm giving it a go either way lol.
My Lord, is it weird that i just realised i sat here for over 2 hours watching this entire thing??? Amazing build and awesome instruction as well. Damn im so tempted to build this now. Watching this i would hide most of the wires and pipes inside the floor spaces. Also i would perhaps make more of those double high walls into window walls as well. Slightly less obstruction looking outside, but that's just me. The wood and stone i have noticed make it pretty easy to hide unsightly things. I usually have usually a trapdoor and ladder hidden in some distant corner for access to those hidey holes.

I like to use stone double doorways with greenhouse double doors in them, they make good large windows I think this could have had more of a view but a lot of the crafting benches and storage go against the outside walls I think I was concentrating more on the interior space as I built up
Yanno.... You can just place foundation tiles on the tree platform and build on top of those. There are unofficial PC servers that have rules against using too many pillars because they cause lag. Fence foundations will snap to regular foundations. On PS4 you have to tap R1 to shift the fence foundation into position. The pipe trick on edges might not work but you can lay 2 fence foundations side by side to get the pillar where you want it. R1 works to cycle the pillars position as well. It also helps to start from the tree trunk and go outward. This is also a safer method so if someone accidentally deleted a floor tile after the building is built (by using exo-mek like I do) they don't wind up picking up a good bit of their build and vaults and leave item bags floating everywhere.
Firstly let me say I have built this treehouse a couple times and like it a lot, but always had slight alignment issues but not horrible.... however... I discovered a method that is virtually the same results but 100% takes the guesswork out of the alignment and is perfect every time.... follow the steps at 7:21 and lay down the first wood fence foundation in the center, then the 2 foundations to form the "T"... Just do that for one section, then add the center wood pillar and then 3 more pillars in a line directly toward the tree (as you normally would later on)... place wood ceilings on each of the pillars and then a 5th ceiling to get very close to the tree trunk... right under that last one place a wood foundation (SS or S+ work great) now delete or pick up all the pillars and wood fence foundations and ceilings, leaving only the very last wood foundation in place..... THIS is your starting point.... on either side of the square foundation , put 3 triangle foundations then another square one etc., all the way around the trunk of the tree and then you have perfectly placed and aligned floor to continue the project..... I don't do all the remaining wood fence foundations and pillars and all that.... I just continue placing solid wood foundations and triangle foundations until my floor is the same size and shape as you show here.... after that, everything is exactly the same .... the main point is it's all aligned perfectly for the rest of the build.
I love tree houses but no matter how carefully I align the fence foundations and vertical water pipes it gets hinky as I build up. Walls, floors, ceilings and stairs won't snap to each other. Hours wasted or I end up using it anyway but there is sunshine showing in wall panels and floors etc. THIS!! This suggestion of yours allowed me to construct the tree house flawlessly! Not one portion failed to snap to it's proper place. I would love to shake your hand and buy you a beer Sir. You saved me a trip to a therapist. May you live long and prosper.
Sloped triangular roofs will be the death of me. Amazing tutorial, I built this on my PS4 server. Creative mode is such a blessing, can’t imagine doing this without it.
lol yeah, they look so good and bring a lot of cool new designs to the game but omg I wish they would snap where you place them 😆 And yeah I have only been building for my channel lately no epic farming adventures, without creative I would only get one build a month done :)

Hey, just some feedback re: music. Its super epic, and I do like it, but its also a very tense and aggressive piece. At about 25 minutes, I had to mute the video because the music was making me anxious (for reference, I have an anxiety disorder). I do prefer having music in the background, however, so in the future it would be great if you used a more less aggressive piece. I'm sure you can find something just as epic. Love the build, I might make this in my singleplayer game. :)

hey brother, just completed this tree house myself on valguro bloody love this tree house i was infact able line every wall and roof up one i replaced the original woof bit ourounf rhe veranders and out side to stone. i implimented his tringle cealing to place the stone rails in perfect spots to line up flush works like a charm easy as video i loved it best build ever.. i built my tree house on the far left redwood around lat 60 overlooking the entire map off a cliff face and down below is some old ruins and alot more redwood to chose from

yeah that would be cool, a real rpg or even mmorpg with city building would be awesome. I know Ark and Atlas have rpg elements but they are far from Elder scrolls in that department. I think 10 years from now when Google and Amazon have whole networks of quantum computers streaming games that truly immense open worlds could have amazing city building features. I played that New World by Amazon Games and it is really solid, nice enough gfx game play was good and it has building but it is a full on mmo
Can you help me please bud , I’m on the first step , I can’t find the snap point for the wooden fence foundations on the outer edge of the tree platform ? Do you know why ?
I think i may have figured out a solution to the glitch at 1:07:50 that so many people are having. So when preview the sloped triangle to place (on PS4) it will show you the correct snap point but when you actually place, the sloped triangle appears on top of the wood rather than below. Ya ready for this one? Place the slope triangle on top and it will flip upside down just like it's doing when you try to place it beneath!

this was a decent attempt however every build Pilgrimz does is like a Monet painting. It looks great at a distance however when you think about utilizing it as a base or look at it close up there is a lot of messes with every build. Also Pilgrimz LOVES to try and utilize Hexagon shapes in his builds but sadly they usually dont work well as far as alignment goes.

Thanks Luke :) glad you enjoy the videos, there is a real mix of builds. I am on pc so there are a lot of modded builds and some things that are not possible without playing with the game settings. I have been building a lot more official settings structures for console and official players

I don't think they allow the snapping of the triangle sloped roof like this anymore. I have tried all the tricks below however even if turned green as though it will snap, it will not do it. Which is a shame because it does bring a new look to the place! However fantastic build :D I messed up a few times and it took a few days but the final result I have loved!

I love tutorials more than speed builds.. but even with speed builds i can see some nice ideas from your builds.
another flyer that works good is a tapejara, since you can strafe in all directions. It does ha da tad bit of drift though so it takes practice but tappy is always my go-to building buddy
yeah I haven't tried a Tapa for building, I will give it a go 👍 I get so used to building in creative I it is easy to forget people have to figure the builds out from the ground up some times 😁

By far better build than Sven P hands down. I don't have to turn the speed down to 0.25 just to figure what's going on. This build might be 2hrs long but it's nice having a finish product than getting confused and frustrated #Kudos

Indeed it is paying off, one thing i'm a tad bit confused on with the material list, you mentioned 66 half sloped walls. There is no plain sloped walls would this be the wall left and right. Would that also be divided in half so 33 right and 33 left?
