To anyones thats still not working even after increasing the Dinos food drain make sure to check the tame speed its also located in general! Mine was at 0.0 and when i increased it to 1.0 tames started to work for me! :)
If you also turn up the creature food drain and taming speed up to max then taming happens pretty much instantly. It's really handy if your doing a solo playthrough.
Took me forever to figure out too. If that isn't set at all then the dino won't eat the food therefore it won't tame, I had it on 0.5 and it took me like 30mins to tame a level 5 raptor

I seriously don't see how you didn't put 2 and 2 together, dinos need to eat in order to be tamed that is why you give them food whenever they're knocked out, but if they never get hungry they will never be able to tamed.

I had played Ark years ago and forgot, but when I came back I couldn't figure out why I couldn't tame. Not realizing that when I first played it, I turned the Dino food drain to 0
I thought it was common sense, in order for you to tame a dino you have to feed it, but if it never gets hungry, then how is it supposed to get tamed???
I love that after I just figured it out I find this video the same night and I want to cry cause I wish I had seen it earlier. It took me 30 minutes to figure it out lol
