Oh, something else I figured out. It doesn't matter if all your feathers are from the same Yi Ling. I had two attacking me at the same time, and I was able to stun and tame both of them at the same time. Even though the 30 feathers was a combination of both of them.

Steve this is honestly the best trap ever i got 4 of these in under an hour and now have multiple traps built in the green zone

last trap was pretty successful for me.. have tamed 145 F Yi Ling this new one i'm gonna need to build and test it but i'm sure it will work 😄 keep the the good work Steve 👍

I think it's an absolutely fabulous single player game and the 2nd one is due to be released in February close to Valentines Day. It's a game that deserves more likes.

I hope they don't patch this out. I really hate super hard taming processes. When sinomacrops came out for ASE I really wanted these. I watched your video on taming them. After a huge number of hours trying I gave up and set my server tame rate to times 10 or something and managed to tame two low level 30ish ones only. A male and a female. Set back my taming multiplier and never tried again

you can do these easy without armor if you toss a bed or two inside as well

Hey, I wonder if it would be better to put full ramps all around that way you can get up any ramp and it will work the same as short ones maybe?

Any chance you can do an update reaper taming guide? Was very impressed with your yi ling trap, didn’t think it could get better than the 2x2 foundations and wall doorways.

Hello nooblets i just have a question on the rock drake eggs can you hatch them in a gigantoraptor because there was not a clear answer of if it was possible

Every time I try this. The yi ling just shoots me from grappled onto a cliff side, nothing happens. Just constant shooting

ppl complaining that this is an expensive trap is actually hilarious....you can get the stone very quickly for traps like these. I usually premake building pieces and keep them on myself or my mount to throw down when I find a dino. You can farm the mats for this pretty quickly even on official settings let alone on boosted servers. I get resource conservation, but taming speed is more important on pvp servers. You wanna get in, get the dino, and get back to base asap on pvp. If you'd rather mess around with a dino that derps out and starts walking or pecking instead of gliding, and wasting time and energy resetting its aggro, and possibly lose taming effectiveness, by all means, use another trap. (4-6 foundations, and 16 walls is not much cheaper than this lol)

Can i also use a mount? I get the 30 feathers on the mount and shoot the stun plant on the yi ling and then feed the bio toxin. Or does that not work?

When wildcard makes a creature like this, do they already know what traps will work? Ofc not every kind, but do they have a general idea?

I had the Problem to had 100 Feathers and then it makes no divebomb to reset it. Or after 4 Feedings they fly away . It is Not nice to tame

They never turn red for me they just fly around in circles then land repeat....

These mfs will NOT dive bomb me. Spent 2+ hours round and round the trap, plenty of feathers in me, circles, circles, drops down and runs at me, rinse and repeat over and over and over. WTF was wrong with knockout tames?! "Balance" my hairy aunt. Pyro and Cosmo are OP and take no effort, but the barely useful pigeon needs to be next to impossible for some reason.

The first one did not work at all, in fact on public servers the Yi Ling didn't at all like that video. There is a timer before you lose all the feathers in reality, and they randomly get caught on everything on the map and bug out which is going to happen when you havent admin wiped everything in the area. They never get stuck in the traps ever, can atttack tbrough them, and can get into them. Really tired of how dishonest the Ark stan videos have become.

Just build the same thing on flat ground with just foundations and walls

Honestly, this is just not necessary.. literally all you need is 4 square foundations and 16 walls or 6 triangle foundations and 16 walls. There's no need for all this extra bits and bobs

I used your traps and got some, now I don't know how to use them. LOL. They don't seem that impressive to me. Even though I have mine mutated up.
