Seth i have to thank you so much. A few months ago i didn't even know there were different types of bikes. I didn't know mountain bikes existed, didn't know what bmx bikes were, and thought bikes were just for little kids to roam around the neighborhood in. in only about 4-5 months I learned the more things than I have in school. When I first watched your first video I was overweight, played way to many videogames, and was getting bullied. My dad later that day asked if I wanted to go on a bike ride, which I would usually deny because I was very lazy I did because I was learning so much about bikes. After that I gained an obsession with bikes. First I got really into bmx and got a bike just to practice bunnyhops, manuals, and wheelies. Now I am pretty good at those and about 3 months later me and my dad went to the trek store and we saw a trek fuel ex 9.8 and I asked if I could try it. When I got off and handed it back to him I asked him how much it was. Expecting him to say it was 5000+ he said that it was 3000 dollars off. Only a day later I had the bike in my hands. I am now looking to mountain biking, bike everyday. Now, I have lost over 39 pounds, I dont get bullied anymore, I have lots of friends now, I lost my addiction to video games, and most of all my parents support me and im a much more nice person to be around. You are a great example of the human racing advancing. You are truly the reason that lives change. You may just think its a fun hobby or a day job, but it changes lives. I cant thank you enough, you and scotty crammer are truly my greatest role models. Thank you :)

+Carson Pautz Dude! That is way more than I hoped to accomplish with these videos. You have nobody to thank but yourself though. You had a choice, and you chose mountain biking-a challenging activity that takes commitment. You have a super sweet bike now too, and I bet your dad is beaming with pride having watched you take life by the horns. Ride on, and post some videos once you get a GoPro hooked up!

I watched this video about six weeks ago and because of this awesome video I took my 6 year old son and wife to Bentonville for entire week. We just got back to Tennessee a couple days ago. It was the best vacation ever! Thank you so much for posting this. My son really got great time doing the jumps at the free ride. Thank you Seth! Hopefully we can run into you one day on a trail. We are going to try out Beech Mountain this weekend because of one of your trips there.

What Seth has glimpsed is actually a bicycle renaissance that is happening in NW Arkansas, right now. It is the PERFECT area for MTBing, of course, having (old) hiking trails that have been converted to bike trails that hold all of the excitement of the Western trails, but without the excessively high altitudes (that lend to long drives to trail-heads, and later thin-air gasping for breath), and a mild climate that is the gravy on the biscuits. But it is more than that. It is a renaissance in the truest form, as the older generations of people (who believed biking is for children who ride on sidewalks) is replaced by a generation of bicyclists who will commute to work and play alike. NW Arkansas is forming as the new bicycle hub of middle-America.

The reasons those tight continuous flow turns are so fun is because they are based off heartline turns. Which means that they move around the center of your heart. Pretty cool how that works, rollercoasters use them as rolls.

There so many amazing trails everywhere, even on top of mtn ridges and stuff and the views blow everything away, while still having crazy amounts of fun. And all of that is within a 45 minute drive from the airport. There is even some desert riding too

How on earth did the guy with one arm ride across the rock ledge thing, it took Seth a few times ;)

That part about getting lost at the Upper Buffalo made me laugh. That trail is simultaneously insanely well marked and yet confusing. The MTBProject app helped tremendously though. Can download the trail maps for offline use and your phone's GPS works even when cellular doesn't, so you can see where you are on the trail map.

Thanks for the information I live about 20 minutes away from all this and just got my giant full suspension bike ready to ride.😎

That first jump that Seth pointed out at the beginning of the video, is the jump that I somehow managed to break my shoulder on. It looks small on the video because it is. I just came in with so much speed I cleared the landing by a mile. Went over the bars and was knocked unconscious. Cut my Bentonville trip short. Didn’t even get to try the 10 foot drop.
