He is a gifted athlete. I can not believe he did not get drafted. I have been studying a lot of his game tape since 2019. I am so happy Seattle has him for the next chapter of his career.
I cant believe #89 Matt Landers didn't go in the Late 1st or Early 2nd round of 2023 draft JUST GO WATCH HIS COLLEGE HIGHLIGHTS were he went he got oppen n caught the ball..... This kid has Superstar talent Mike Evans 2.0 plus Landers run a 4.37 at 6'4 n runs good routes n very good after the catch...... He is going to blossom to be 1 of the NFL Best WRs n a couple years...... Our Browns team future WRs look Elite with young elite players...... Just imagine us lined up in a 2x2 WR set with on 1 side Landers out wide, Thrash besides him in the slot and on the other side Judy in the slot n Coop outside dtz 3 WRs wit 4.3 speed n all 4 are Elite route runners..... This kid will get alot of playing time this year n have a good year he already was catching deep passes on go routes over the defender in ota's....... He will be our X Factor who can take the top off the defense n still run all the other routes good...... Andrew Berry found another gem who will turn into a diamond just like he did with Judy bcuz Judy will have a elite season n turn into our #1 WR bcuz this Dorsey scheme is Perfect for Judy n the WRs get alot of YAC n are schemed almost wide open wen catching da ball...... BERRY SMART ENOUGH TO KEEP THIS GUY ON THE TEAM n he will look even better in training camp wen the pads go on...... 6'4 n run a 4.37 all Watson gotta do is throw the ball in his area n he will catch it plus he knows how to use his speed to get off the line against man coverage on most of his catches he is wide open or running past the defender with his speed n he can stop on a dime...........
Seahawks got a very good Player in Matt Landers.... he catches with his hands, he is tall at 6-4 and weighs 200 lbs, although he does not look it. He also Ran a 4.3 in the 40. He runs short routes as well as vertical ones. I liked him better than the WRs who were getting all the notoriety. Him and Pryce Ford Wheaton who went to the Giants as a UDFA were overlooked by the " experts". Between the two I think Landers is the better WR right now. Wheaton blew up the combine with his athletic ability but is not as refined as Landers.
i prefer his tape than the more hyped bigger taller wrs a-la A.T. Perry. But i guess he will be ranked a late rounder guy while Perry could be in the early rounds. Amazing. He ran 4.37 so maybe he could be drafted earlier than expected.
I don't know about WR3 literally next year but I definitely wouldn't mind drafting him in 6th or 7th round if he still there as a project high ceiling guy....see what we have n if we can develop him especially playing along side AJ n Devonta maybe in a year or 2 he could be WR3 or WR4....also is going to have to commit to blocking if he wants to see the field. #FlyPhillyFly #GoBirds 🦅
Landers is like a 6th to 7th rounder on every single draft board in the world. You’re watching highlights dude, that’s not WR film LMAO. He’s not even a top 15 guy in this class.
