Trooper's Report: On 3/21/2024, at approximately at 6:31pm, I (Tfc. Brady P. Nuckels) was patrolling Highway 247 looking for a wanted individual. The subject I was looking for was Donna Richards. She was wanted on three warrants two of them being felony for trafficking a controlled substance. As I approached Devils Creek Road, I observed a Chevy Cavalier traveling towards me. The vehicle was one that I had seen Mrs. Richards in before from an incident earlier that week. As the vehicle passed me, I positively identified Mrs. Richards driving. As I caught up to the vehicle, the vehicle crossed the fog line. I initiated a traffic stop on Highway 247. As I hit my blue lights, the vehicle began to flee. I notified dispatch that I was in pursuit. As we traveled down Highway 247, we reached speeds up to 95 mph. I went to TVI the vehicle as Mrs. Richards brake checked me. I swerved to avoid hitting the vehicle. As the vehicle passed me, I went in for another TVI. As I touched the vehicle’s rear driver side fender, the vehicle broke loose. We continued to travel and onto Highway 213. As I was pursuing the vehicle, the vehicle was negotiating multiple corners in the opposite lane. As we traveled onto a straight stretch I began to attempt another TVI. Once again Mr. Richards brake checked me and I missed the vehicle. I knew we were coming up to the top end of Devil’s Creek Road and that Mrs. Richards was going to turn onto the road to try to dust me out. As Mrs. Richards turned onto Devils Creek Road, I rammed the rear of the vehicle knocking her off the highway into a field not allowing her to continue to drive reckless on the road. As I knocked her into the field, Mrs. Richards began to travel back towards the wood line. Knowing the area, I quickly traveled down the road to a residence where I knew I could get back into the field. As I arrived at the residence, I traveled behind the home into the field. I located Mrs. Richards in the field. She attempted to get back in the vehicle and take off. I made up my mind I was not letting her back behind the wheel and rammed the front passenger side of the car disabling it. Mrs. Richards exited the vehicle and began to flee on foot. I began to chase her and deployed my Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW) with good effect. As she hit the ground, Mrs. Richards rolled over and stated that she swallowed heroin. I then had to wrestle Mrs. Richards into handcuffs. She stated she wanted to die. I told her she was not going to die as I ran back to my car to grab my narcan and call for an ambulance. I then had to wrestle Mrs. Richards again as she tried to bite me. I restrained her head to apply the narcan. As I applied two doses of narcan, I notice Mrs. Richards was going limp. I ran back to my unit to grab more narcan. I informed dispatch to get me survival fight as I knew if I did not get her to a hospital quickly she was going to die. As Trooper Fales and Trooper Belcher arrived, I instructed them to bring a AED incase we had to start CPR. At this time I administered four narcan in total. As we prepped her for CPR, we administered her two more doses of narcan. We decided to move her up on the road to wait for the paramedics. We did everything from sternum rubs, poured water on her, and talked to Mrs. Richards to keep her awake. We began to try to find a LZ to land survival flight close to us. Survival flight arrived and Mrs. Richards was flown to UAMS and is stable. After the incident, I drove to UAMS to check on Mrs. Richards and charge her. Mrs. Richards was stable and doing well. Mrs. Richards was charged with the following: 5-54-125(d)(3) 2023: FLEEING - FELONY - VEHICLE OR CONVEYANCE - SUBSTANTIAL DANGER OF DEATH 5-53-111(a), (b)(1): TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE - IMPAIR PROS OR DEF OF FELONY 5-13-211: AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/CORRECTIONS LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER 27-14-306: FICTITIOUS TAGS 27-16-303: DRIVING ON SUSPENDED LICENSE 27-14-314(a)(2)(A): DRIVER OF MOTOR VEHICLE FAILURE TO REGISTER 1ST OFFENSE 27-50-302(a)(7): SPEEDING - MORE THAN 15 MPH OVER LIMIT 27-51-403: SIGNALS FOR TURNING, STOPPING, OR DECREASING SPEED REQUIRED 27-50-302(a)(2): RECKLESS DRIVING 5-54-103(a): RESISTING ARREST 27-51-301(a): DRIVING LEFT OF CENTER 27-22-104: NO LIABILITY INSURANCE 27-51-901: FAIL TO YIELD TO EMERGENCY VEHICLE 5-54-125(c): FLEEING - ON FOOT 5-71-207: DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Well done officer ..Let’s hope she is worth it…Because that ambulance may have been needed for a serious incident…..You have far too many people on drugs in America thanks to Bidens open borders…..It’s a terrible state of affairs…
Now I'm no expert on the effects of opiates, buuurrt: Swallowing Heroin wouldn't overdose you [that quickly] unless it was actually pure Fentanyl and even then as it's likely to be powder wrapped in foil/paper/baggie or some such. Officer Brass Knuckles put you in the ditch, bitch hehe, then Officer Belcher turned up. Some badd-ass surnames in that thare Arkansas!
Yeah, it sucks that his effort is wasted. I'm not cracking, I mean it, it really sucks.And when I say wasted I mean that drugs are gonna kill her one way or another eventually unless she's one of the few.
I mean, I can appreciate the viewpoint that it could be a waste from a fatalist perspective...but still, kudos to him for giving her a chance/possibility of being a better person.
This trooper did an amazing job saving that woman. The sad thing is that she will not appreciate his determined efforts and will probably do it again when she gets out of jail/prison. Hats off to Law Enforcement.

She doesn't deserve to die. She deserves to be in jail. She needs to get help for her drug addiction. She probably won't. But it sucks to see people throw their lives away on drugs.

That trooper should get an award for what he did for that woman!!!!! Bless his heart. Thats why i always back the blue 💙🔵💙🔵💙🔵 after all the shit her and her boyfriend put him thru. He went the extra mile to keep her alive.
They all care about their job. They're just tired of people not caring about them in return. The media, social media, and the gov all turned their backs on the men and women who serve to protect us and get trash off the street.
I've never worked in an area where EMS was more than 5 minutes out after I got there. I can't imagine how hard it would be to handle things in more remote areas. That Trooper did a great job.

The best reply I could ever make to this came to me after I'd already made perhaps a stupid reply. It's just this: We are absolutely not God. It is not up to us who lives and who dies. That is a choice made only by God. We have a responsibility to try to save lives whenever the opportunity presents itself. We never know what this woman might accomplish in her life. This Trooper has great respect for life and I applaud his efforts!
Can you even imagine how many more lives law enforcement save compared to the one that they take, Well forced to take in most situations is by far why they should be praised and payed well. Thank you for your service.

Putting aside what this woman did to earn herself jail time, it wasn’t a waste to save her life. As a medic told me, anytime they get a chance to work on someone, it’s training. So the next time Trooper Nuckels has a similar situation, it’s going to be that much more familiar to him. And “Donna’ may have been crying “I wanna die” but she also gave a clue that she didn’t by telling Trooper Nuckels what she had swallowed. It’s the classic cry for help because as bad as some days/situations may be, we don’t really want to end our lives.

Complete waste of resource on society those two. The amount of money wasted on her in damage to the troopers vehicle and other property plus the life flight, the hospital costs etc.

Because the ASP troopers don’t wear body cam, the camera is mounted on the dash. I figure the windshield was clearer further up where his head would be!

Hopefully, in your drug induced comatose state, you had a meeting with your creator and will turn your life around and become a productive member of society. A lot of people and resources were expended saving your life Honor their efforts by bringing meaning to your life.

You just can't help some people. They stack one bad decision on to of another for the bulk of there lives, then wonder why everyone else has more than they do.

Trooper Nuckels needs a day off. It’s crazy how long it took for rescue to arrive. They’re in desperate need for volunteers in that area. I wonder what their volunteer fire situation is like. In the 1980s it took up to 40 minutes for EMS to arrive but our volunteer firefighter/EMTs were there in less than 6-10 minutes.

Trooper Nuckels did not "likely" save her life. He certainly saved her life. What a great man he is for doing everything he possibly could to save this trash circling the drain.
My family would never take drugs …. America is in a mess with these people , people are scared to visit New York because of them….Your towns are falling apart because of this bad drug situation…..
It’s gets to the point when we need to ask ourselves as a society, how many chances does a person get before they deemed a waste to society?? These people are obviously a waste until they prove otherwise!
To all those persons saying what a waste and all that, I sincerely hope that nobody in your family ever needs medical help. Because you know their diabetes or their heart problems or probably because of their own problems right? I'm sorry but somebody is overdosing yeah they may be an addict and they may be a POS at that point in time in their life. But I know damn well that Trooper doesn't want her death on his conscience. And have no doubt it will be on his conscience if that happens. I spent over 20 years working in public safety as a paramedic, and I can't tell you how many times I treated people who put themselves at risk by their own behavior. Whether it was drugs whether it was alcohol what is obesity doesn't matter your job is not to judge people. Your job is to save life when you can. And I can't tell you how many people who were saved, from overdoses, who went on to change their lives and become very upstanding citizens❤ I sincerely hope for your case that you are not judged at the lowest point in your life, cuz I don't think you would like the outcome of that.
Well said. Dad of a recovering addict that has 10 years clean and now councils other recovering addicts. Every person needs every chance they can get to recover.
