I'm an Arkansas fan that loves Pittman. Would love for him to get another chance after this year. I think he's a good coach that's getting better as he goes at being a head coach. I think he's great at hiring coordinators around him
As a born and raised Arkansan and Hogs fan, the hate Pittman gets is pretty dumb IMO. He's really not a bad coach and represents us well in the public eye. Dude knows how to build an offensive line, and he's been given the keys to finally be the big dog and it's been in the midst of NIL changes, and a whole new level of complexity to navigate. Them hiring Petrino as our OFC is a great start for the program. Arkansas fans are desperate for wins at this point because we have been struggling for years but that makes them quick to be vocally frustrated and thro people under the bus as the hint of problems. I don't think the coaching is the problem at this point for UofA but just consistency from our players. We gave our win away at OKST. If the players can stay healthy and make some better in game decisions, and stop TO's, we will be back to top candidate in the SEC with the current set up. All that to say.. WE GON' BEAT THEM AGGIES SATURDAY BOYS! WOO PIG!
Realistically, Weigman only had one good game out of his 11 starts. He looked terrible against Notre dame. To be honest, A&M doesn't have an outstanding quarterback right now. You have to make the best of what you've got! A&M wide receivers don't look great, Reed's feet are about the only thing that can keep A&M in the game!
@@NotchFox he did look terrible against notre dame. Who had all offseason to prepare for the game and it was his first live game action since week 4 of last year. Also in a brand new offense against what is still a top 10 defense in the country. Connor in his first start threw for 330 and 4 tds and no ints his very first start. Ended his year by beating sec west champ lsu(behind a strong run game y’all think we can’t have with him) he threw for 150 2 tds and ran for multiple third down conversions. Miami last year with no help from his o-line or run game had another good game. I just hope y’all keep the same energy with reed that y’all had with Connor when he runs into an actual defense.
The elephant in the room that a lot of the prognosticators are neglecting is Petrino was A&M’s OC/QB coach last year. He knows all of A&M’s returning players. Btw, this isn’t a do or die game for Pittman’s job. We’ve heard that for a long time and it’s only caused fan division and hurts morale and especially recruiting. If and when HY says it, then report it.
Marcel Reed has outperformed him up to this point by a nice margin so do t be surprised if that kid that y'all are so quick to dismiss ends up being our saving grace
Yeah, don't get why somebody would say Pitman isn't a good coach. I think he just isn't their ideal pick for the position. But, he IS the coach. Let him do his thing. Pitman knew the O.C pick from last year wasn't the right guy, that's why he went and got Petrino. I think that was a brilliant move. A great leader wants those around him to succeed not hold them back.
All the people thinking Weigman would somehow elevate this team tick me off. When Arkansas beats A&M by 20 points yall will all say “if only they had Weigman” and discredit the win just like you did with the Auburn win. He is an average QB
I personally disagree with most other ags. Weigman is the guy. Marcel struggled in the red zone making passes at home. For instance a&m beat Arkansas last year with bad oline play and max Johnson. Weigman is arguably a lot better than max and has a better oline. Arkansas defense will shut down marcel and his run game

Reed needs to practice more short pass first. Don't try to throw 30 or 40 yards. He is not ready for long boom . Try short pass to get first down and let the defense works

I’m on the other side of the ball here and Pittman is a dude. The question that has to be asked.. who do you replace him with? Maybe Lea Clark? Who else? Petrino? Is Petrino an upgrade as HC?
A&M hasn’t dominated this matchup, they’ve barely beaten Arkansas a whole bunch of times in 10 years, that’s not domination, it’s luck. Arkansas still leads the all-time series & the post motorcycle curse is gone now with BP back
