FYI to potential buyers. Was so impressed with my 4-16 I ordered the 6-24. 6-24 came with a canted reticle. Been trying for three weeks to contact arken for warranty service and cannot get them to respond.

I had a similar issue, and no response for weeks. Turns out I sent it to the wrong email... dont forget the "usa" in arkenopticsusa. Once I got that correct I had a new scope in a week

Not knocking your decision to buy an air gun to test this - but couldn't you have just mounted it backwards on the Henry 45-70 to test the same thing?? 🤔

Own 3 Arken's...2 6-24 MOA and 1 4-16 MOA I handle these like babies, but I am very pleased to know that if someone else drops my babies, there is a strong chance they will survive. THANK YOU!!!

I bought the 6-24x version. Its just stupid how good it is. You drive a nail with it, as in a 6D into a picnic table, and it it holds zero back on the rifle. For $450. The real cost is weight. Well, I have a Y chromosome and a limited budget, so that just works out.

You have my attention with this one! I have a couple springer air rifles, I DESTROYED 2 scopes using them on those platforms. No I don’t buy cheap optics. These scopes cost 4 times as much as the air rifles did.

SWFA, Hawke and Sightron have all worked well for me and my air guns. Love my springers along with my firearms.

The springers have shock in two directions, whereas a powder burner recoils one direction. Its good to get a scope that's springer rated fyi. Airguns are awesome though, makes me happy.

I have broken a few "cheap" scopes with my air guns, my Diana 54 did it. SWFA and Hawke have been the best. I am looking at an Arken though. I want one for my AR 10.

Did you order a MIL or MOA version? I ordered an MOA version within last week and received it 3 busi. days from ordering. Some of their models are on backorder like most everywhere else.

I bought my arken last January. I have taken it out over the winter, northwest Minnesota, to do coyote hunting. Including a weekend of -20 degree days. It's still holding up just fine.

I hope Arken doesn't blow the customer service challenge because superb customer service is necessary to overcome all the challenges of the C-Plandemic; and, I think these guys are doing American patriots a favor!!! I just received an SH4 4-16 yesterday (3 business day deliver from ordering) and I'm pumped to get it mounted, zeroed and in training to preserve freedom. I actually feel a little guilty, like I've stolen something, lol.

Just bought an Arken LH4. Illumination a little weak, but good scope. Also have Primary Arms, Swampfox and Vortex. I have no problem with Vortex. I have 4 optics and not the expensive ones. What don't you like? I've had very good luck with them.

From your experience with mounting this scope on a Savage 110, what height scope rings do you recommend? Arken has .92in, 1.26in, and the highest is 1.45in. I will also be mounting the scope on a Savage 110 tactical. Thanks

Damn I’m late to the game here. I’ll make a request anyway. How about testing it with a snappy recoiling 7mm RM, no brake or suppressor strapped into a weighted down lead sled. All I keep hearing is how bad sleds are on optics. Thanks for the great video

Not sure why Vortex gets so much hate. Own two of their lower end second focal plane scopes and have been very pleased with them both. Been around 20+ years vs. Arken who is really the new kid on the block about 7 year old company. Heard nothing but good things about Vortex amongst my shooting group and also good things about their warranty and customer service. Maybe I missed it but are you being paid by Arken or given that scope to review or something? If you have to mention another brand to boost your own then that alone should tell you that the other brand in this case Vortex must not be too shabby.

most 34 mm scopes run 900$ and way up from there. These scopes are awesome, I purchased one for my AR. one of the best scopes I own.

Fuckin ouch man. Show us on the IPSC target where Vortex touched you... 🤣 These look like nice scopes. As with all things internet, there is a lot of debate about them. Including the usual amounts of derisive horror stories and emphatic evangelizing. Meanwhile I'm just trying to decide if I can or even need to bother justifying one of these on a 5.56 AR.

Yep Im worried about the same thing... are they going to break like Vortex scopes? Ive got two and no problems so far, one on a 338 Lapua Ive shot 200 rounds with. So far it is all good, I hope they hold up in the long run.

Is the “eye box” user friendly? The only non bottom of the barrel scope I have is a SWFA 6x. I really like how easy it is to get behind it. I realize this is fixed and I’m asking about the Arken variables.

What about a simple drop test. Put it on rifle sight it in, don’t remove from rifle, drop it from 3’ on all sides and see if POI shifts.

Missed opportunity Scar 17. But give me a year for testing. (Yeah a career an kids make the process take longer) Just got the scope in and 5k rounds for testing. So far PA acss raptor 1-6 FFP has handled 4k plus count atop scar 17. Zero maintained. Also, the leupold DPP on 45° offset mount has withstood 1800 ish round count. Mounted over rear of ejection port.

The M82 I got to shoot was pretty special. I got to put two mags through the rifle that Heemeyer had mounted out of the killdozer. I can't remember if we took it to the range the same summer as the rampage, or if it was the summer after. Either way, I was 11 or 12 and maybe 80lbs, and I had shot 12 gauges that hit harder

They break. They charge premium money for them so that when that happens they can offer a great warranty. That works because most people don’t shoot and they “never have a problem”. That’s predatory in my book.

I’ve been unimpressed with the clarity of glass on some Vortex scopes also. I looked at a $100 Bushnell and a $200 Vortex side by side and ended up buying the Bushnell because the glass/ clarity was soooo much better than the Vortex.

You said at the end of the video that this is a 34mm scope. I assume you're talking about the tube size. I went to Akren's website and they have the SH-4 4-14x44 listed as a 30mm tube. Was this just a simple example of you misspoke (which is totally cool, I do it all the time) or is the scope you have really a 34mm tube?
