Yeah... Even mudmud is solid Lane holder not DPS like her boss mode This is just say, I'm better than our previous encounter Rhodes.. I study the blade
She has everything: auto recovery with low sp, high scaling, can hit drone, 100% crit, ignore DEF, invinsibility, AOE, no RNG bs. She has no weakness, she's unstopable, she's the storm that is approaching. This is the end of dualstrike guard, as she will be the only best choice. Just like how Mountain and Surtr... and Mlynar invalidated all the other characters in their archetype... until the better (and more broken) character comes out in the future.
The problem is that the same chen is much more useful for the team because it gives sp regen. At that time, disarm was rarely needed (there are very few bosses who have strong basic attacks, and abilities are either hardly used or they are not so dangerous). And to kill mobs, disarming is not particularly necessary because mobs fly away from simple damage anyway.
@@nikolaanicic3944That’s true, still part of a reason I want her. But to E2 her for the M6 feels wrong, when all my other dualstrikes have full masteries (except Irene S1 only at M1).
The stronger the unit, the harder the enemyes that have to be developed in order to try and stop her. That's what i fear. Because it could mean that other operators will become in the future way less useful (because they are not getting stats updates or skill updates. The only salvation might come with releases of OP modules)
So far that hasn't actually come to fruition though with all the other Operators. At best you can argue after they gave us Surtr they made an event with (silence able) 70Res. Enemy armor and Res creeped up a bit more after Modules but that was in response to *everyone* getting more stats overall. They've definitely tailored some endgame events (CC#s) to the strongest but that's what those events are for at the highest (often entirely optional) level. Even POO didn't really need any of the stronger Operators after all the contracts were out and usable. Not saying Degen isn't... degenerately powerful. But every time an Operator comes out like this we hear people talk about pushed enemy stats but it never actually happens. At worst we'll get a new mechanic that fucks her over specifically but can be worked around for an event/chapter. Arknights' top Ops tend to go above enemy power without bringing that power up to them. The game has been stated many times to be built to be cleared with all 4stars. It's why I'm more worried when new 4stars come out cause that means the base game's tools aren't up to what they're cooking and a new lowstar niche Op needs making.
Caprinaeknights niche is finally eating good. I'm so happy for the goat mommy to be this powerful. Before they didn't have a proper melee unit. Lessing is..okay at best?
General weakness of the dual strike/swordsmaster branch. Compared to their guard branches they are glass cannons as they trade durability for a lot more offensive punch
@@kiddscoop9755 degens S3 lets all hits crit at 100% chance tho, chen has 3200% damsge on S3 degen has 4288% cause of the 100% crit. So no she is higher. And no module will change that difference.
@@kiddscoop9755 don't worry about it, bu if in the future there will be enemies that are immune to disarm maybe you can use Irene over Degen against them if they have high armor. But thats a very niche appliance and well chen is still an offensive recovery batterie.
I love how they decided to just put all the previous swordmasters into a big pot, added some random ah debuff and auto recover then call it a day. And why the hell is she stronger than her boss variant, imagine what they could have done to MudMud if she got the degen treatment.
Why did they give her auto recovery? The whole point of the class was to have huge burst but on attack recovery, this is barely the same class, anymore plays like a generic nuker and her double attacking part is meaningless.
The whole dual sword branch is not about skill having atk recovery, it's about character will hit 2 times default and having a burst skill oriented, also they def give her auto recovery to bait players to roll for her, knowing her in the dual sword branch is pretty meh at first
Hmm I think both are quite strong tbh. Hoederer's kit almost makes the enemy being stunned by most of the time not to mention he's the first 6* male to have true damage on his S3 (which has an incredible uptime). He's a mix of cc and damage Now Degen's is totally dps mode. They literally made her a really strong guard tho I dont think she beats out people like Mlynar, Surtr, Mountain because swordmaster archtype doesnt have like the best atk stats, but thanks to Degen talents, debuff and the amount of crit they give her, she outstands a lot TL;DR: I would go for Hoederer if you want the stun/good damage dealer and Degen if you really want to wiped the enemies out
@shihabchowdhury4994 There are too many good and interesting units coming out, man. They really need to release a stinker of an OP every so often on non-limited banners so I might have time to actually try for any of them.
Definitely Degenbrecher so far. Hoederer is incredibly good for a crusher and has lots of highlights against bosses and golems, but falls flat in real play thanks to the Crusher weaknesses. Especially in more difficult stages where enemies don't just stand in one spot or are stun immune, and his S2 outside of certain enemies doesn't have much going for it (S1 is typically better but asking a Crusher to lanehold is a tall order). Degen on the other hand is a 30 auto SP AOE balans button with I-frames that hits air and scales incredibly with buffs, along with making anything that survives Trembled. She deals with bosses like Hoederer does but faster along with other enemies.
@@Shadow6OO I'd say hoed is definitely less useful than degen, his stun is only useful for a extreme small percentage of enemies with attack speed slow enough for hoed to stun forever, so his niche to perma-stun aren't too good at the moment(up to 6 mths later in cn's progress). On top of that, hoed's 0 def makes him super fragile against most general enemies, even the weak ones, which put a lot of pressure on your medics. Added that his dmg is just average, if there are other ops who can do the same thing without hving such downsides, you could just pick other ops over him.
idfc with meta and powercreep shits, bring me my lore accurate babe. it's a fcking win for those who've been waiting their fav npc not too fall in obscurity bcs of mid ass kit
While I'm super glad that she's even better than her boss version, are you telling me that she is released at the same year with Candle Knight? Fuckin' yikesss
@@dummy9466 it doesn't hit harder per se, but it's her talent which makes it broken. Versus enemies immune to Disarm, it would be inferior, but I'm guessing those are far an between. For reference (at M3) Ch'en: 10 slashes 320% damage each, doesn't hit air Irene: 300% hit, 4 sec levitate, 12 hits x 250% damage each, ignores 50% of def of airborne enemies, otherwise 50% chance of ignoring 50% def Degen: 10 slashes 235% damage each, 330% final hit, hits up to 6 enemies, hits air, disarms enemies (talent: atk increases to 160% vs disarmed targets and ignores 25% of their def). Also, drags enemies towards her, which can be used for some pitfall shenanigans if positioned well enough.
@@mauriciobuitrago7853the talent still works if the enemy is immune to disarm, it’s the def ignore that doesn’t. She still does more damage unless the enemy has a lot of defense.
Facts. Atleast they should have tried to hide the powercreep. It's literally same range as Irene, it's AOE, it's invulnerable, it's significantly more damage, it hits flying enemies. It's like they just didn't care.
@@deepprakashamin9129 Not even just that The main thing dualstrike guards were balanced around was their skills needing to hit enemies And degen just... doesnt? She litterally isnt even a dualstrike guard lmfao Her BASE KIT has damage reduction defense ignore and multipcative damage ON TOP OF s3 multipcative damage that is 100% aoe and is 100% invulnerable I know its youtube comments but i legit cant believe there are people that think HG made peak design by making the most bland powercreep in history of the game
She's easily the better unit (aka top tier Vs 2-4 tiers lower) but powercreep is an odd generalisation. Irene still has her niche with her higher def pen (although it's RNG and this is before DB 2nd module at least) and Ch'en still has her utility passive. It's not cut and dry, like everything isn't.
@@foghetaFor Irene it's pretty cut and dry. Even with 50% DEF ignore, Degen still outdamages her even at 2k DEF. And that's ignoring the fact Tremble is easier to apply than Levitate.
@@Gabriel-cs6wu Yep, her power is enough to kill most strong enemy in these day and her skill is very good Number either Dmg and SP cost With Warf buff etc., she easily can Melt Bosses fast
Everyone already made boss showcases, but no one made one about how broken her 6 target aoe and skill cycle actually is. This is the one that demonstrate it
overall she seems rather boring and uninspiring as a unit, wish HG was more creative with her kit kinda felt like they just slapped the same template from the other swordmasters and only ramped the numbers up
