@@kyero8724 they're just build different, one is a boss killer with massive burst dmg, the other is a sustain DPS who can take waves of enemy without pulling back.
@@BrandonHeat243 even back then skadi was branded as average, now she's pretty much under the dirt of all the new operators. Chen was used a lot for her aerial damage tho.
@@BrandonHeat243 Skadi was considered underwhelming compared to other 6* even at launch. The meta was less established back then and although people rated Skadi as a “solid guard,” solid didnt mean much when Lapland and Spectre were both still considered better investments if you had them. It was more that there weren’t many ops so anything that did high damage could be called solid if you pulled them and don’t have the other options. If you bring SA into the equation his S3 nearly beat Skadi’s s2m3 in an AoE despite her being a duelist. Chen is probably the only early character who used to be considered meta but is now viewed as mostly underwhelming.
@@nguyenphuc7387 And Nearl got 1 os'ed aswell and she wouldn't last 15seconds holding that line. There are about 10 other operators who could kill Patriot
@@Paolini_18 That's why she called duelist operator. And for Mountain, he is suit for killing a bunch of mid enemy. Every operator is good, even the *3, they just have a different traits
I’m getting mixed reception from different players. Some say she is broken. Others say she is just right, not too strong, not too weak. Another say that she is disappointing because she’s missing “something” with her damage output. I don’t know who to believe anymore…
All of the above can be true, depending on circumstance. She relies on block and true damage. Against static bosses like Quintus, she's useless. Against bosses with low Def but high HP pool, she's useless. Against bosses with low Def but high ATK or Arts damage, she's useless. Against non-bosses, she's still fairly gimped, and does nothing to bolster the Duelist Guard archetype which is probably the weakest in the game alongside Chain Casters (and whatever Tsukinogi is). In the right circumstances, though, her high base ATK and True Damage is extremely powerful, but it's not the broadest niche, and she has trouble scaling with buffs because of her low ASPD and Block 1 nature (some of which is mitigated by the Blinding Sun summon). Does being niche make her balanced? Underpowered? Overpowered? Maybe some of all of the above. EDIT: She's also self-gimping because the summon stuns enemies, but she only deals True Damage to blocked enemies, meaning she nerfs some of her own damage potential until the stun wears off.
If you see her do well in one video but badly in another it's a question of what the user is doing differently that makes her work better. like another video showed her attacking patriot with no mines active and unblocked which meant she dealt physical damage and looked really underwhelming, but here patriot is being blocked which means she does true damage with her skill 3, and they're using mines which doubles damage output. Really it's down to you to form your own opinion, rather than based on what other players say
She's like Blemishine... well more like Blemishine is like her. both are absurdly powerful but needs a certain mindset to take advantage of their strengths and work around their weaknesses. Neither are drop and forget though, much like Eunectes. they reward players who know what they are doing and punish players who expect them to faceroll stages.
@@Vasharan calling her useless againts low def enemies is silly her damage is extremely high she'll tear through them like nothing or do you consider surt bad vs low res enemies?

@@simplicityisoftenthebest7856 Dossoles probably December or January, so Near Light probably March or April. It’s going to be around 2 or 3 month gap I think.
S2 is actually pretty insane, basically Skadi's S2 but true dmg with extra true dmg & stun at the start, and didn't take deployment limit. max lvl at rank 7 deals ~33% of Patriot 1st phase hp without ant buff or mines debuff.
Her damage was insane but the problem is she need to be close with the enemy and you need to keep her alive when facing a boss with high attack like patriot
@@loyalflush5628 personally I just don't care for chalter because of her being essentially a summer skin. She could be the strongest operator in the game until the game servers shut down and I wouldn't care for her still. Waifu over meta
@@jaleen1105 I like her regular Guard Version. Better art imo too. Recently m3d her. Love her passive for my operators who largely rely on offensive and defensive sp regen. Also her nuking ability which has saved my butt multiple times already. Chalter Is just meh for me though
Dang, Mountain and Margaret Nearl really kicked butt! I want to see Margaret Nearl having a rematch against Talulah. First time they encounter she melted Nearls armor and almost killed her. Now it is time for Margaret to have her revenge on JT8-3! >:D
I like that players can't decide if she's good bad or broken. That means she balanced. She has her uses people recognize well, flaws people also recognize well so when people use her people don't go "Wait... what?". SA & Surtr S3 is like a pause button in a game, you know what it does without thinking. Nearlancer is like the Portal Gun, you gotta use a brain to know when she best works but it's nearly subconscious.
@@simplicityisoftenthebest7856 I prefer she have low attack speed, but hit like a truck. HUGE damage per hit and ignore Def or Res or both to a certain extent. No need for True Damage.
This Guy: Nearl S3 Is Completely Broken *proceeds to make mountain go in a rampage* Nearl: Whoosh Whoosh "dies" Mountain: Lands The Final Blow With 5% Hp & Recovers Me: Wooooooooooo Now That's A Nice Mountain Showcase 🌚
completely forgot about this comment lol. I have successfully pulled Mountain, he's now S2M3, and I like him both as a playable unit and a character. the good ending :)
That duelist erchetype will only be used once I a full moon. She's good, but i don't see much versatility, even if I get her I don't see myself needing her on a stage, so I'm skipping her banner.
I still argue s2 is better overall. Being able to ignore deploy limit is just too broken. That's like having a robot but with actually good damage on top of high survivability. s3 is nice true but if you want ST true damage honestly just use Kaltsit it's far more reliable and doesn't require enemy to be blocked
with shining s3 and aak's def buff, mt can kind of solo patriot since his dps is high enough to by pass patriot's high def, just doesnt have enough skill time for resurrection
@@MiMuMo there'll be others soon. if HG doesn't want its players to Surtr their way through future bosses, they'll be implementing other debuffs like Emperor's Blade's or just make their pathway/place not suitable for Surtr like the boss in Originium Dust EX modes.
Well it is depends on how you use. Sure Surtr is broken due to her 8 second buy time, but Nearl deals true damage. If the enemy has E rank arts resist, then Surtr is much better. But now how about A or S art resist ? Suddenly Surtr cannot do shit while Nearl TR still can damage them.
@@eternalinsignia she ignores flat def and has base attack high enough to compensate for whatever res is left. lol look at patriot. true dmg will probably be more useful...... soon.....i hope
One thing to point out is how much the mines are used. The mines give enemies +50% vulnerability for 15s, so it rather overstates Nearlter's damage output. Sure, the mines have great synergy with True Damage dealers (since all of the ATK stat is amplified, not just what gets through DEF and RES), but it's also not like we get access to them very much, even on boss stages. Don't expect to use an unbuffed Nearlter against other bosses and achieve the same result (although other bosses will probably not one-shot her summon or Nearlter, either).
It's a mechanic of the stage so his stats are balanced around it, and there are already boss melt comps out there for the rest. But yeah she'll need buffers/debuffers for the patriot inferno stage and the like, but hell so do all the other boss melters in that hellhole
I like her S2 more. It's way more unique and suits her duelist archetype better imo. She has one block you'll most likely retreat her after taking the big threat down anyway. If you don't have Kal'tsit then I'd S3M3 her. S2M3 is almost always good, you'll always find use for her S2.
Enemies blocked by her or the sword thing she drops are dealt true damage when she attacks them but physical if they're not being blocked by either of the two. Since patriot does so much damage he cant be blocked for long, but nearl can stun with s3 activation which lets her block him for longer, resulting in more damage output. Some videos activate skills at the wrong time so it dramatically decreases damage output bc she'll be doing physical damage rather than true damage. That and the mine which doubles damage.
Its because in this video, the sword managed to block patriot instead of getting instantly destroyed so her dmg is converted into true dmg Honestly her S3 is not that good/broken,kinda hard to pull off the requirements needed for the damage conversion effect. you can just drop a surtr/mont3r and will get the same result with easier requirements
combination of the trip mine activating and the flag not getting instantly nuked by Patriot. AlterNearl's true damage is locked behind the condition that either her or the flag is blocking the desired target. So in this case a few things went right. First is that Patriot was in fact stunned by the flag drop so Nearl got free true damage hits off. Second was that Patriot tripped the damage amp mines, pushing the true damage even further. Third was that Alter Nearl activated the skill at different points depending on what was needed at the time (very similar to Blemishine s2 actually). First activation was when Patriot was in Nearl's attack range to get stunned by the flag, for free true damage hits. Second was done when Patriot walked over a few more mines and standing still, so plenty of prep time to flag then nuke the remaining hp of phase 1. Third activation is interesting since it's done early to allow Nearl's extended attack range to hit Patriot while buffed. Granted the hit wasn't true damage, but she got like 4 free attacks off in exchange for -50% of the flag's hp. But the rest of the hits were true damage, allowing the rest of the burst to set in. Knowing when and where to deploy the flag, and whether or not the true damage is worth the trade off of not getting free hits in or risking Nearl's hp will dramatically alter her dps performance.
how the hell does her talent work, does she herself count as a kazimierz op for it only if she dies or if she retreats as well because i swear to god it looks so inconsistent based on this and other videos
Unluckily this banner is such a scam for me 86 pull now and still get only 1 six star also it's off banner, mostima, i mean why? It's not mostima banner also there's a lot of other useful operator than mostima...
2264 of true damage without buffs, plus it is constant true damage, not decaying like Monst3r. Of course, the prerequisite is when her sword or she is blocking... has anyone tried using her with Warfarin?
I think a True Damage dealer is better with APSD buff than ATK, so Aak here I go:) But the main drawback of this skill is the enemy must be blocked by her or that sword so is quite niche, as there are many bosses that cannot be blocked, staying in weird position or just can easily one shot her. Kal’tsit still a better true damage dealer though.
Wow, same stage same Nearlter but this vid gives me good feelings. Other video showacase I watch kind of giving me 'underwhelming' vibes, but this vid makes me realize there's certain circumstances and requirements how to max potent Nearl skill so I'm glad I got to watch this video now 😳💕
