Nearl alter kit is actually good even great for some situations, like 4x shield helidrop s2 or true damage s3. The main problem is that she shares the same problem with every Dreadnought Guard. Block one, single-target attack (followed by all her skills), slowest aspd between every guard archetype, and kinda high dp cost for that. I guess if Nearl alter does not work very well in the end, the real problem is on the archetype. Like how Blue Skadi is not relevant. Or her kit is not strong enough to lift the Dreadnought Guard weakness.
I dont think DG need more block since their purpose for killing bosses or elite mob with their high damage as they have high hp and attack That same problem with arts guard back then before surtr appear maybe giving this nearl will get some spotlight as a DG but she more onto hold lane cuz all of her skill more reliant as a holder lane
they need multiple targeting not block that's for sure, bcs they have lowest def than even some vg thus it will melt them if they got hit by two hard hitting melee enemies
duelist guard be like: _surtr exist_ _kaltsit exist (shes summoning her own surtr lol)_ _melantha exist_ like, whats the point of duelist guard when enmity guard and defender exist if they are too strong, they touching enmity power level but if they are too weak, they touching fast redeploy power and melantha level too bad that, nearl alt would be the only relevant unit from that class bcs 0 dp
@@sorcierenoire8651 We’ve only ever seen stat & Trait buffs for sub-classes, not specific Operators. An ASPD buff would benefit Nearl’s True Damage, but it wouldn’t do anything to help the other Duelist/Dreadnaught Guards
Why does Nearl Alter look underwhelming here? She has a very high base ATK, 1149 ATK at E2 Lv 90 with Trust, compare to Surtr's 772 ATK or SilverAsh's 763 ATK at the same level and max trust, with her S3 she can go up to around 2.7k ATK. (or even 2.9k ATK with S2) So why does she look like she doesn't deal as much damage as we expected? One reason is the general meta are filled with medium to high DEF enemies, and it is even more prevalent in CC, where physical damage units will have trouble dealing without any external supports. You can already see an example with Patriot where phase 1 he has around 2k DEF, so of course she doesn't deal as much dmg due to how DEF calculation works. You can also say "but she has true damage with her S3", yes she can deal true damage but only when the enemy is blocked by herself or her summon, which then will prone Nearl to take damage. Sure, in general content, no one will be able to kill the summon cause it has 6000 HP, 600 DEF and 2 blocks, so it is very tanky, but when it comes to harder bosses (like Patriot) or in CC, enemies will have much higher DMG which then will make it much harder to deal with. For Nearl Alter S3, that summon is the core reason for her to deal reasonable damage and it is also her safety mechanism as it blocks and takes damage for her. So once the summon is gone, she will be put in a vulnerable state. Therefore, unlike Surtr who has a death defying talent that allows her to absorbs tons of dmg while still allowing her to ditch about insane damage, or SilverAsh that has insane range that allows him to deal damage from a safer distant, Nearl Alter is a bit harder to use than 2 of them if you want to use her S3. Her S2 is the easier skill to use, she can deal higher damage and has 4 shields for protection, but it's far too expensive and the redeployment time is too long (which is the same problem Guard Skadi has with her S2 as well). The third issue is that she is single target damage, which is a bit harder to use. The current meta dmg dealers are either having high AoE dmg (Surtr, Eyja) or if you're single target, you need to have high range to deal dmg from a distant (Exusiai, Thorns, SilverAsh), or if you don't have either range or aoe dmg, you must have high sustain instead (Mountain, Mudrock), the fact that she is being single target and short range makes it harder for her to easily deal damage to enemies and being safe at the same time. Nearl Alter is no way bad, it's just the showcase doesn't really show what she is best at, in time people will find her role and how to use her effectively. One way is to use her similar to how you use Bagpipe, who is also a single target physical damage dealer with short range, that is dealing damage from a side where your defenders tanking the enemies for you. Nearl Alter is a more balanced unit compare to the current meta units where you just ooga booga plop them down and press skill and let them do all the work, she needs more planning to make work which is a great thing.

It's nice seeing a limited that is not overtuned tbh, i don't like it when they are utterly broken and essential to get and i hate it more when the unit is so braindead to use and play. I like her cause she is reasonably balanced and that you need to use your brain to use her, she is really good still.

i still recommend pulling since her l2d is godly. but no she is not a meta must have and never will be. Game has evolved to the point where this architype is just power creeped beyond repair. Phantom, mountain, surtur... she is not the best for any use case scenario. her kit is perfect, the abilities are designed with versatility in mind. Its just that other ops we have rn are too broken

@@patrickstar8132 Sort of? Used Beehunter to block the chargers on CC4 since she's one of the few cheap units that can survive a full charge of those things. Also she can proc the Sarkaz Casters early so that they don't insta delete your main defense.

I mean is there any op that can solo patriot without any buff and/or debuff ? Surtr definitely can't in one go. Not sure about Chalter but i doubt she can solo it without some buff or at least someone blocking the boss to keep him in her skill.

It will help if she or all dreadnought has kit like auto locking boss/elites/first hit. If they want it to be soloing. Because, if it like this 1 target need to be blocked, they'll be bonked first. Elites & boss got multihit/aoe, then nearl placing pilar 1 tile close to her (too risky). Well maybe blemishine will heal her with s3
How do you think she performs right now? Compared to other burst DPS or single target DPS operators, her performance here seems just ok in comparison. Her skill 2 being able to ignore the deployment limit seems great for CC when the deployment limit is reduced though. Her multiplier for skill 3 looks a bit low IMO considering that it's single target and can only deal true dmg to enemies she and her sword blocks. I'm not so confident about how good she is, but I might be completely wrong tho, what do you think?
Pretty strong, but I see her strength on more high end content honestly (CC). Her damage can be overkill, and other dps ops have more utility (more range or higher target count). She would be cracked on CC though, S2 with the deployment limit bypass will be useful, and S3 with the true damage will be useful when enemies def and res are buffed to the high heavens that any other damage type can't damage the enemies
I felt that both S2 and S3 lacked something. It's hard to explain exactly what I felt lacking because I used it for 2 hours. It definitely has good performance but there's something that's hard to use.
I'm not sure coz I'm a Global player. But after reading her kits, I can say she's definitely an upgrade of Skadi. She has better survivabititly compared to all the duelist guards, she provide stuns and can deal true damage. Ignoring deployment cost is a niche but a pretty solid ability for some CC clears. She's definitely a good 6-star.
I still dont know what DG are used for , they really need buff the archtype, they suppose be one by one (boss/elite) but failed to do so. NTR and Skadi both have same S2. The problem for S2 really not good since their redeployment time is long not even close to medium, they have high HP but low def that make easy their to die, If they wanna make good they should have have dmg taken reduction when block. even i see now their module not gonna help them much. also low atk spd.
Eh, S1 and S3 should've been AoE. Or at least 2 enemies for S1 and all blocked enemies for S3. Right now she's only usefull for S2 helidrop and stalling while also deal decent dmg for boss. Still gonna pull because Nearl is the reason I continue Arknights back when I see her in ch. 0 and because she's voiced by ayaneru
No Bad OPs... It just back to situational problem... They're good at their part... Even the 2* Noir is good at the current event to blocking some particular enemy cuz his small damage... It's Arknights... If you've been playing this game for long periods of time, you should've to realize to it...
Is it just me or skadig hit harder than her? I'll try this map with my skadig later. Edit: NTR knight hits harder but For an op with ignore def and true dmg, it feels lacking especially because its single target. Will still pull for that e2 art tho
I rarely use Dreadnoughts so maybe I'll skip this. Whenever I need 1 Block unit to kill something, Utage is usually enough and if i need stalling I have Gravel, Red, and Kafka. But who knows, I might build her if I get her.

@@trang9992 block 1 isn't too big of an issue. Just put a defender (Maria is actually perfect for the role with her s3) behind her and watch as she wrecks fools who get stalled. Same tactic as Skadi and Franka, or Eunectes

All these people saying/asking why Nearl looks underwhelming here? TLDR; this is a bad showcase. This is Nearl with no masteries. Sure she's Lv90 but if you've been playing this game for a long time, you should already know by now that Skill Lv7 and M3 difference is really really big. More often than not even M1 and M2 difference to M3 is still huge. I'm by no means saying Nearl is actually secretly OP. I'm just saying she's not as bad as this showcase makes her out to be. Yeah Surtr is still probably going to be your Go-To Boss helidrop. But you should also consider that every new unit doesn't necessarily need to replace the most OP thing we currently have. Reason why I say this showcase is bad because there are already other content creators showcasing Nearl where she doesn't look like shit unlike this one. The actual answer whether or not RK Nearl is good or not is still up in the air tbh. Personally I'll be waiting until I actually have her before deciding on that one. Or just wait for 777 ucky to release his showcase. I don't think its a bad showcase, this is simply shows how she fares on situations on her own. 777ucky tend to just buff+debuff army the shit out of them or have operators like Thorns and Mountain as a safety net which ends up making all ops to be really OP.
Went back her to convince myself its okay for not having Nearl Alter after doing 105 Pulls, copium :'(. But in all honesty, I always known her to be not a broken character like other Guards, I just want her for waifu. Nearl Family mirrors what Paladin Knights supposed to be, Im biased :D
She's kinda lacking.Or more like all of her skills has filled roles already.Her S1 is inferior version of blaze/thorns.Her S2 is better version of skadi but phantom exists.Her S3 is kinda low on survivality plus we already has surtr/eutenes.So all in all,she is the result of HG's backlash after the unholy creation that is chenalter,a balanced,niched limited 6 star.But this time,the other 6 stars is also not really looking good honestly saying.
Hg really should add an actual trait that'll classify the duelist guards. Since they're usually dealing physical damage, perhaps it should be something like the bug Crocs on cc6, reduce def or increase self damage on blocked enemies.
Just adding more to this, "increased damage the longer on the field", "a percentage of damage will always be dealt to enemies", "generate shields that'll block damage (no heal or whatever)"
@@ayivanonamia2225 Shields sounds awesome and relatively easy to implement, just add an effect over them like Mudrock, Akafuyu, or Gravel. Though the idea of a 'parry' also sounds kinda cool. "Every several attacks against the same enemy grants one parry for a maximum of one parry; parry mitigates a lot of the damage and immediately does an increased basic atk against them"
Since we already have art dmg to deal with high def enemies, i think the trait can classify the dg should be something focus on some special kind of enemies like "do more dmg and take less dmg from boss"
I wish they had some kind of Retaliation trait, e.g. all damage received since the last attack is added to the next attack (would also make for a great meta team-up with Aak). Right now they are single target damage ops that can't deal damage because of low ASPD and high enemy DEF.
Welp her good thing is s3 summon sword wall which she free from targeting enemy that deal any debuff like stun and UT event sanity drop, I can already tell mon3ter weakness in this event is enemy makes mon3ster feels useless with sanity drop stun Also yeah buff army definitely works well with her bcus she already have high atk stat 1K

So far ch'alter is the only broken limited i think. The others are just "ok" or "very good" but requires you to use the brain to use them, whereas most for most broken ops is just a question of clicking a button. Sincerely i'll save for nearl cause i like the concept for her alter more, really a shame that ch'en but water guns is meta. I'll probably just do the free pulls in the dossoles banner, and if i get lucky good for me. But at the end choice is not mine soooo, idk. You could choose to screw waifu,lore and appearence to aim for a meta op, or say screw meta because waifu.

In Arknights, everyone is usable. The only unusable is a Doctor who never extent their brain and screeching about how bad the Operator just to hinder their low intelligent. As for NTR Knight, she just unluckily fall to this archetype Guard. If she was a Spellblade then it another story (or just my opinion).
