-Be me, a medal completionist. -New limited SSS stages drop up with 2 week duration. -They are based around the cheapest and most annoying enemies this game has to offer. -Stages 1-5 are complete jokethat you can possibly mess up due to their single choke point. -The last stage is a 5 line open world nightmare that you have 0 info over, with funky boss who's sole purpose is to be a nasty prick. -Run failed, now I need to start over and waste 30 more minutes to get to the point where I was in order to get a second shot at it.
I love when HG thinks about my time so that they release stall oriented modes that forces me to do other activities, while my operators are trying to smite down Dwayne The Rock. It reminds me of Pinchout event, perhaps I should start a family, because while dedicating myself fully to such amazing gamemode, I will be able to raise kids by the time I finish the stage. Thank you HG for encouraging people to bring new life to the earth, truly one of a kind company❤
I actually think supporters got worse, it used to be that that supporter A would get enough orange stuff for a pull and also do a free pull (functionally pot of greed), now it just gives you a fixed amount of orange stuff which is only sometimes enough for a pull. I think supporter B is unchanged, IIRC. Also I've discovered that being too supporter heavy can trap you in deployment point debtor's prison. I don't think stalling was ever the preferred strat outside of some of the bosses, but that can hardly be described as a virtue when the actual strategy was to get as many "carries" built as possible, basically passenger, GG, Irene, and if the map allowed for it, Horn. It was either RNG let you get them on the field quickly enough or you just fail.
Saying it fell off is litterally wrong by definition. It WAS dead on arrival to everybody, they obviously tried to pass it off as annihilation 2 and make it seem like game has some sort of endgame when in reality it was a shitty mode with barely any balance. And since events give module rewards much better these things are completely useless unless someone enjoys them. IS3 was the same too and thank god they kinds fixed it on IS4. Meanwhile that stupid openworld survival like event is even more dead than SSS

I really like SSS for the first normal and hard clears for each map set, but the weaker replay value via different squads is made 10x worse by the rewards. Even if you’ve gotten every possible module block, and only have lv3 modules, you’d still have excess T2/T3 mats when you run out of module blocks. If you’re a longtime player, after clearing hard mode there might as well be no rewards beside the passive missions for a negligible amount of materials. Even being an outlier that doesn’t mind the gameplay, I’ve skipped the second two months of each four month rotation. I buy every gold cert module block and I still have far more t2/3 mats than I can possibly use, despite skipping 50% of their main acquisition source.
Yeah seriously, even with operators like Młynar, Surtr, Ling, & many more can't really help you to beat this dogshit I mean I was using Gnosis S2 for infinte stall & it worked, yet begause there is rotation map, the strategy become obsolote I remember when I use GG as my core operator, yet she only comes out when the stages almost ended. The RNG in this game are trash man The boss stages is really hard too. Like, I prefer doing CC risk 20+ instead of this
I'd add another thing, which is that it's another mode where the medals are timegated, and of course the hidden medals that force you to beat the entire mode without losing once. Which is of course an issue with the RNG there
I played it once at launch. Can't e2 all ops anyway so there are less ops who need module. And you have enough module mats without touching sss. Of course if you want all modules at lvl 3 then you have to do it. But so far i could give modules to all 6* i use and some have lvl 3 (Ling, Specter alter, Hellagur (don't really use him these days), etc.).
3:23 I'm not sure when it was added or if it's always been there, but there's an option button on the bottom-left of the starting squad selection screen to change whether you want to use "Preferred Plan" or "Free Plan." Free Plan will do as you state, and use absolutely any operators in your roster. Preferred Plan prioritizes "frequently-used" operators. I'm not sure how they figure that, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's based on your operators' elite promotion and level. 6:45 Sounds like that's when they added this selector.
I didn't find SSS that fun before but this most recent Abandoned Lightouse SSS really impressed me. The Thirster boss is one of my favorites so far in terms of creative mechanics. You can heal the Absorbers, or you can maintain a large hand size and prevent them from joining your hand, and I think the viability of the latter strategy especially is so interesting.
Yes, SSS really is the antithesis of the core characteristics which make Ak's gameplay so enjoyable. I don't like it, I don't hate it as I did upon launch but I don't think I can ever like it/enjoy it and want to play it. Give me a permanent Interlocking Competition that's revamped like IS was and just there for fun like IS and not farming like SSS and I'll be happy. They can delete SSS and I won't miss it, use the bosses and other applicable mechanics in other game modes or events or something.
The irony of SSS is that I cannot even use all the collected Data Supplements because the game limited the amount of Module Data Blocks I can aquire so much that I can skip like 1 SSS Mapset and still have too many saved. The whole Module System is a freaking pain in the ass and I wish they would just fix it and make those Items more accessible.

Am I the only one who doesn't mind SSS? Heck, I might even say I like the mode? I liked it when it first came out, and with all these QoL and buffs that they added, it's just a lot easier to complete now. I always go for the perfect run medal in both standard and emergency mode. Over the past half year, I've probably played SSS more than I've touched IS#3...
I like it too, but I wasn't a fan of it at launch but since Reed alter event they did put a lot of great QOL to the mode I just think people are still traumatize of the day one SSS.
I loved it a bunch. Had trouble at first but learned specialist and supporter cycle strats on my own. Have no idea what Supah means by stall strats as I always just DPSd through the stages with melee operators 🤷♂️.
I rember i tried to play this thing only launch, i absolutly hate how this shit was far times harder than a max risk cc, not even eija s3 with max buff take the half of the life of a tank after that thing already reach grade 10, and as was said, it's reward are so unnecesary that there are no reason to play that, just Buy those ítems on the event shops, but if your not a brainroot that give and upgrade modules for each and every operator You have(and unlock every module the 6* are getting), also this become unnecesary

It shouldn't be that randomize even until this day because most of arknights player who play SSS is using prefered plan instead of free plan. the different is that prefered plan will prioritize operator you mostly or often use and primarily those with highest promotion. while free plan is really random. all operator build and unbuild will be randomize into the selection part of the game 2. 4:00. what if i told you that there's a way to recycle the operator you use with specialist side A? since most people use side B, side A specialist is kinda underrated by player because it retreat the operator on field to your hand back with 30 seconds redeployment time. It also can be act as emergency swap for your is KO'd by the enemy. 3. 4:34. the only thing who limit the player for their strat is themselves. i have been observe this mode for almost 2 years and i saw a lot of people doing fun things and discover their own strat based on what they have. 4. 6:42. back to no. 1 and i can say this shit is still exist until today for 2 revamps, the free plan and prefered plan is still here. people just not notice it on their class buff section 5. 7:15. you forgor the best part about this explanation. It's the draw cost. Old SSS have flat 15 cost which sounds kinda not early game friendly. But now they decrease the initial cost to 10 and graduatelly every deck shuffle it will increase 2 point. that's why you are not relying too much on supporter like early SSS 6. 7:22. can we agree that more operator in the deck, they more tight RNG become ? it can be an issue if you're not using it wisely. that's why people having more option for sub dps before the roaster of the game arrive and dominate the game 7. 7:38. The worst SSS part for me is that there is no medal for clearing the challenge mode of each map without failling once... It took me four map to learn about it...
The problem with this mode is that it's just so RNG heavy. If they could make it so you can pick like 4 starting ops that will always show up it would lessen the RNG heavily. This mode is straight up more tedious than RA to play. At least in RA you know you will get smt done even if it's tedious. But this mode if your rng sucks, you are basically done. The mode's replayability also isn't as high as reworked RA or IS so theres also that.
supah not mentioning gummy in a video is wierd but him not saying ''max out your gummy'' instead saying ''max out your ling'' means theres a serious problem
I never touched this mode up until last week, when I'd gotten all the rewards for the current installment of IS4 (fully exhausted IS2 rewards and not far from doing the same with IS3) This video made me realize how spoonfed I am with all the mentioned patches they released in the video. Atleast I only have to touch SSS a few times a month, I guess...
I think i played twice this mode, only the first map and quit. Maybe it's because im not a veteran player, but IMHO with a little restrain and only module the operators you use, with the module mats you obtain though events its more than enough. To me, the main problem is I don't have enough LMD to lvl up and promote all the operators I want :(
if this mode wants to focus on stacking ops, I would suggest that they take out the DP requirement to deploy the operators, but instead, add a very short cooldown after each deployment. If you wanna get cheeky with it, then make the deployment cooldown longer depending on the DP cost of the last operator deployed. Heck at this point, make the deployment cooldown exclusive for each classes. Then for supporters, Make them ignore the deployment cooldown on top of whatever SSS equipment choice they have. Make it 5 stages instead of 6. I'm just not a fan of worrying about generating DP just so I can spam supporters til I get what I want. I like the mechanics honestly. But replayability is kind of meh.
This game mode feels like really only focus for player that already in very deep end game which is till this day you only have like less than 1% but even them still could get very unlucky RNG.
I still remember someone that loved this game modes saying how fun it was for him that he literally played sss for hours even after getting all the rewards ☠️
Weirdly enough, never used supporters or had much issues with rng. So never saw the issue with the mode. Kinda breezed through these stages, but I guess maybe I just had a lot of good luck as an ifrit main (is this where all my pull luck went? 😬)
I thought the original was just ok, but I actually find the updated version super fun. I never depended on stall strats anyway and usually just used defender and guard ops to damage everything AFK style.
ok, i must say, i like this mode, because of few new strategy, and also caster buffs is OP, example: skadi alter with +200%atk, is op buffs and healing (no way operators die). in a scale: is second after IS#
Insider here, Supah got eaten by Gummy and it took times to revive his body so his doppleganger temporary replace him which is why his voice are different.
I hate this mode, it's a shame it's still so necessary for endgame progression. If they're going to force people to play it, why does a perfect emergency clear not give all the rewards for that cycle???
