Wow, actually moving the Farsight plot forward, seems a lot of characters are getting quality treatment

Behold, one and all. The baldie has blessed us with yet another tale.

In this grim darkness of the far future Commander Farsight is one of the few shining beacons of hope, and he has proven to be one of the individuals who could stand in the face of total destruction and death and still stay standing. Farsight proves to stay true to his character even in the face of this horrific situation event and perhaps has come out of it far more stronger in his convictions.

As an alpha legion player I fucking love the idea that the deathwatch is bed ridden with operatives or even other chapters I hope they get more love in the future

I love that the farsight enclave is getting some lore love

The thousand sons stoping their war front to just go research the old planet is one of the best things ive heard today.

Reading the Phill Kelly's novels on Farsight was a trip! He is by a solid margin the most "Protagonist-energy" character I have ever meet in Warhammer. Think about this; He was a young, brilliant, charismatic and brave military leader. He was trained on "Anime-mountain" under a famous old master along two equally brilliant but different students, a girl he formed a lifelong friendship/rivalry/romance with and a mysterious Lone-wolf boy. He rose to prominence fighting skilled but innovative wars, was suspected of subversive activity by the Establishment, but was too good to discard. He fought with honour and was given supreme command, formed a team of colorful and eccentric subordinates under him. He grow disillusioned with the Establishment, and proved great enough to form a new faction. Dark powers (Khorne) wants him, but his calm mind, philosophy, teachings of his old master and humble attitude keeps him good. Now that is protagonist material!

The interesting thing is, though disillusioned and bitter due to the betrayal of the ethereals and general state of the galaxy, Farsight still holds on to his principles and in doing so he is kinda a perfect representation of a trait related to Khorne that is not as prevalent as the bloodshed and violence but is still central, honor. Perhaps that is why Khorne became so interested in him. Sure, he is a great warrior but that alone can't be it cause there are enough of those in the galaxy. And ironically, that trait may also be what helps Farsight the most in resisting any temptations.

Thank you for doing Farsight! I’m still hoping the Tau & Gue’vesa hold out vs the Tankers in your other narrative.

I hope these events with Farsight are building up to either a Tau Civil war with The Tau Empire fighting The Farsight Enclaves or a massive Tau vs Chaos conflict. I just hope it goes somewhere in the setting and lore!

The neutral reader part of me was like: oh farsight was close to be corrupted by khorne The chaos/khorne fan part of me: Soon my blue friend,SOON.

Baldermort never fails to do justice to 40k. From the spectacular sights like a squad Astartes decending into battle like "The Emperor's angels of death" that civillians see them as and preachers make them out to be to the horror of a Tyranid invasion or a guardsman who witnessed the horrors of The Warp firsthand.

I know you usually post your major piece on a Friday, I was literally checking every day just in case you dropped it early. And then I kinda forgot about all the recent holidays too😂

Sweet. Been waiting for this entry. Tau from Balders is a super rare but always appreciated treat. And it being Farsight Enclaves is the best treat. Ill say this. Ill be annoyed is Farsight falls to Chaos. That would basically make him Horus 2.0 which is really boring. But having him constantly teetering on the edge of falling and being held back only by his Willpower, his Eight, the Talisman, Puretides teaching s or whatever is a fascinating concept. Be curious to see the Enclaves get more love in general. I realise they are small but thats their appeal for me. They aren't going to chage/ f*** up the galaxy like the other factions so all of their stories by definition are going to be small and focused which i really like. I think they best case scenario is that they are the ones to find a way to properly fight chaos by studying the Dawnblade and Talisman of Arthus Moloch but i think that may be a stretch cause thats less science and more voodoo which the FSE will only use as a last resort. I also hope that Supernova is the beginning of more advasnced AI to potentially help make up the numbers the Tau in general lack. I mean they already did it with Oblatai why not others?
