Arktis 42 pattern chest rig and modifications made to it.. 

Retired American Soldier here. I picked up an Arktis chest rig from a trooper in the Light Regiment while in Kosovo circa 2000. I used it for the next ten years of the GWOT. Awesome review mods. 🇺🇸 🇬🇧

Nice mods!!! Used many a cross/ X-strap harnesses, definitely prefer the H-harness but they all work. Cheers!!!

Good mods Mitch I will be getting my chest rig out the shed and getting it sorted I used to love mine it was much easier and comfortable than webbing in a vehicle especially standing out the commander's hatch on the MLRS atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍

Bad news..... we have neither the mini me's or the LSW both were taken out of service. The LSWs I understand are used to make the A3s.

Mitch you might be able to clean the blacked out marker pen off your map case. I managed to remove my old details ( in sharpie ) from the back of an old 58 escape ration pouch before I sold it on. Using that pink stuff ? I'm sure that's what it's called and a scrubbing brush with a little elbow behind it. Worked a treat, helped that the pen marks was 30 years old so probably dried out which helped remove them. Might be worth a try if there not sentimental to you and also handy if you buy kit that's got the original owners name no° etc on. Hope that helps someone. Nice mods on the chest rig too. As I said Arktis gear will go on forever the guy who designed em is an old Bootneck. We never give up lol 😉👍

How well does the chest rig work with the smock? Does it cover the chest pockets too much so you can access them?

Canadian army here thinking of picking one up. Does any one know if the side pockets can fit a 200rd c9 box magazine?
