3:33 I KNEW IT I couldn't put my finger on it all these years but that's what's missing from ARMA 3, these inconsequential sound details you're used to hearing in other shooters, without them the game just feels sterile and it clashes with the more simulationist aspects of ARMA. Very nice video! You deserve more subscribers. A bunch of mods I'd like to suggest for a possible future list: Equipment and Factions: - 2035: Russian Armed Forces; - Baltic Flashpoint 2035; - Belarus 2035; - Chernarus Defense Force 2035; - CTRG Gear Collection; - KSK 2035; - Romania 2035; - The CSAT Modification Project (has a separate patch that replaces all CSAT units with the ones from the mod); - United Nations Texture Project. Maps: - Chernarus 2035; - Teregova (dependent on 'CSLA Iron Curtain' and 'Global Mobilization', or their compatibility patches from the workshop); - Winter 2035 (re-texture mod, makes Altis and Stratis have snowy environments). I've always liked the time period that 'Arma 3' is set in.

Yess I can confirm after spending an entire night playing the showcases The sound mods🔉 make a HUGE difference. They are a substantial improvement over the vanilla game I recommend even for purists (such as myself). I've been trying to enjoy the vanilla game over different PC setups in the last 8 years but the experience was always ruined by the feeling that something is missing from the game feel of ARMA 3 and THIS WAS IT. The breathing, the screams, the crinkle of the map, these minor details come together as a powerful package. Add some gun sound mod you like and you're golden. THANK YOU FOR THE UPLOAD ❤❤❤❤

I love the way grenades explode and then you see and hear the fragments spread around and hit the ground/buildings and all other scenery. Im not sure if this is new but yesterday i heard rounds come very close to me,as they make a whistle sound and a zipping noise and sometimes i hear a crack. Like them cowboy movies when the bullets make that perchew sound..

Nice one mate. As much as I enjoy gaming with RHS /3CB for our groups weekly missions any midweek missions I make are generally using 2035 assets for a change and to be a bit more modern. For a more light weight mod pack than Aegis and its family try the NATO CTRG and various SOF factions by MASSI. They are great. As is Drongos Simple Factions. DSF contains some fantastic factions not covered anywhere else, including Iranian, Syrian and Iraqi armies, Islamic State, Taliban, Wagner Group, Militia, US militia and many more. The big plus is they all rely on vanilla reskins and kit so no massive mods list. And if, like me, your not a fan of the CSAT outfits check out DVKs CSAT replacement. Changes the uniforms to a more palatable modern version and he also does a nice lightweight addition to the ingame Spetznaz, giving them vehicles and helicopters turning them into a full faction. Hey Bazza, Seems I've overlooked DSF. Alot of content/variation for such a small download. nice. Definitely got me interested in the CSAT replacement it looks very nice indeed. Will check out after work, I'm sure another sub mentioned it a good while back and it's something that has slipped my mind so thanks for mentioning it!

In my opinion, 'The CSAT Modification Project', along with its replacement patch, are better. They maintain the vibe that the original faction had, whereas 'New CSAT (Overhaul) DVK' makes them feel like an alternative to the A.A.F.

Real engine is a good one too, enchaced soundspace also. Pir is very cool but lacks some support of mission makers, but to be really fair I dunno if they still exists.

Pir is such a under rated mod, i cannot use the ace medical system(or the vanilla in fact) after trying the extended medicine mode

Vcom doesn't work that well. Try just using Vcom and CBA, go to editor, spawn a guy and zeus, get in the mission, spawn with zeus a squad and a car, move the car, the squad leader will go to the car without anyone telling him to do so, also will follow that car even if it means death to himself or abandoning his squad, because squad does not move...

C2 hasn’t been updated in over four years. You’re not finding any issues with it?

Fundamentally nothing has changed with how the AI works in Arma 3 after all those years. The only potential issues I can see are 3rd party compatibility issues such as enhanced movement, it was a slog to get them using it with c2s waypoint ls to begin with. Or If your using any mods that affect player squad AI.

Yeah its an ever expanding mod list on most servers. Don't mind a few but then I see servers and missions alike with like 40+ mod requirements....I like to balance my SSD/HDD with other games aswell lol.

Is there a way to use this with Antistasi or do I need to disable something? the revive system works and everything it's just everytime I get up im stuck with the "press R to respawn" because antistasi thinks im dead, also medics won't heal me after I get up.

I'm assuming that's PIR not playing nice with antistasi's revive system. Think last time I played that scenario I disabled PIR revive and used C2's heal commands which seemed to be ok AFAIK.

13:03 Past ArmA III standards? Don't get me wrong, I like Chernarus 2020, but it's nowhere near quality level. It's very inconsistent, some places are good, then some are terribly done with objects misaligned, overlapping, levitating, or even duplicated and other problems, same goes for roads etc. The texture of the map is quite bad and generally the map feels a lot like it's rushed. Compared to Livonia, or even Altis that is 10 years old at this point, it lacks quality. Whenever I do missions on Chernarus, I have to redesign quite often a lot of locations, just because it's poorly done.

I wouldn't recommend s*it like "Bloodlust" to anyone. Disabling all of its effects and leaving only one bleed effect, even that will just kill your game performance! I even tried to significantly reduce the rate of this bleeding, but still the game did not work well. As soon as I uninstalled "Bloodlust", I realized that Arma3 actually has smooth gameplay.

Hey Mickey, funny you should say that as I have noticed a difference on testing recent workshop missions. I used to use bloodlust edit (before the official one got updated) and had zero problems with that. Perhaps give that a try good sir? I'll edit the video with an annotation so people are aware of possible performance issues. thanks

@@HazBofficial I had to check the mod "Real Lighting and Weather" in detail and I also would not recommend it to anyone as it will break at least 2 necessary things: 1) In a full moon phases, everything will be lit up like the sun is shining and without NVG you will be able to see like during the day, while the AI still will not be able to see beyond 10 meters as at dark night! As a result, the vision balance player/AI - vision range will be broken. 2) You will not be able to get an overcast sky, even if you will set 100% cloudy. Sky still will have gaps with blue skies! always no matter how hard you try. So this is not a real weather mod, but rather the opposite...
