In some cases, the windows defender firewall can block incoming connections. Make sure you add an inbound rule on the windows defender firewall to allow port 2302(or whatever port you used) to allow incoming connections!

It's better to use a separate Steam account for the server. It does not need to own Arma 3 at all, you can download the dedicated server without owning the game, and the headless client is included.

Although this is technically true for the base game & DLCs, you can't download/update mods in FASTER with an alt account that doesn't own Arma 3. (Downloading steam workshop depots via what is practically SteamCMD, requires ownership of the workshop item's parent app, to download - in most, if not all cases.) Any workaround involving using the workshop folder populated by your main account kind of nullifies the purpose of FASTER's updater feature with regard to mods.

Im having an issue. I was able to get my MP game to launch the first time after watching this but I then closed out to mess with the mission difficulty settings in Faster, when I tried to start the server and clients again I got an error saying "Cannot open file 'mpmissions/mission'". I wasnt able to find the pbo file in the referenced folder but did find it in my OneDrive steamMPMission folder.

You would have to setup the Server Cfg or the profile that runs the server to choose the Addon Options. I'm assuming you are asking about the Mods Addon Options

Are you able to see the game server on the server list? If not, try finding your server via LAN server list. If yes, try joining a populated KOTH server. If you can join the KOTH server, I would turn off any VPN or firewall. If you can't join the KOTH server, then reinstall and enable BattlEye

The video included the exact folder(s) that the PBO would save if you subscribed to the scenario. Those were the two folders that I found the PBOs save on two different installs of Arma 3. Make sure you check the same drive the game is installed.

Antistasi is the mission. If you're trying to host the server, then you will have to follow the instructions from the antistasi mod on how to load that mission

I copied over the scenario pbo file and when I go to hit the play button on FASTER, it gives me an error saying that the " 'server file' does not exist. Please reselect correct file." I made sure the path to locate the scenarios matches and they are populating over, so unsure what's going on. any ideas?

don't install it into he Arma 3 folder. install it like Arma 3 Server steam install would...which is in a separate folder. you just have to set all of the targets up correctly

When I hit the play button it says "Profile *name* server launched! Command line copied to clipboard." But the actual arma 3 server doesn't launch at all. I can manual launch the arma 3 server, but it doesn't seem to have the config from FASTER. I really don't know what i'm missing, theyre in their own folder, faster is in the directory with the folder that arma 3's server is contained within, all just sitting in a folder on my desktop.

No you don't need to buy a second game. Just create a second Steam account and add Arma 3 Server to its library. Then log into FASTER using that second Steam account

It depends on the mod. Gun mods and terrains are server and client. Game play and UI mods are client. And AI mods are client and server

That's the only way to add mission files. Note that some missions like KP Liberation are embedded inside of a mod, so there won't be a mission file. Instead you would have to follow the mission override instructions from the mod to get the mission the load

You're probably selecting the wrong folder when choosing the Arma directory or where you are saving your mods. You may not have deployed the mods either.

You can connect to it by using Direct connect to you IP address. Find your IPv4 address using IPconfig in your cmd.exe on windows. Watch my video on Playing with Friends for step by step to get your IPv4

I dont think you will see your own server if youre trying to conmect from the same network as your dedicated server (unless the game is set to LAN).

It's possible, that's why I said to be careful when installing it so that your server files do not end up messing up your Arma 3 files. You should uninstall and re-install

You really don't need a second copy of the game. You just need a second steam account and add the Arma 3 Server steam application to that second steam accounts library.

First, you have to use your internal IP if you're on the same network as your server. If not, then watch my video on playing with friends.

You see what your page did at 2.42 where it changed when you did nothing,,,,,, mine didn't change so I had pre 2.42 page and not post 2.42 page, therefore got no where. Got to be me but you never know.

There is a VLAN setting in FASTER. Everything else is the same.

yes. I have gotten that. it's because the .exe file is not signed and recognized by Microsoft. You don't have to use it, but I can say I have not had any problems with it
