@@Xyrage Thank you very much so basically I can make a small war using all of that against NPCs I would like to make it the hardest map ever, including navel and helicopters and tanks and jets a special black projects like UFOs etc like the TR-3E. I want to have regular players going up against like 500 npcs etc.

I just Got to Arma and been playing for a month so far, After I figured out you can make your own scenarios and custom Ai’s I told myself I need to learn how to use Zeus. Your video is the second Video I came across and so far been the easiest and useful one from the previous video (Won’t mention who), I’m very lucky to come across this. It’s rare to find any sort of tutorials. You deserve more attention, and also great work! 🔥👍

It's a known bug... Go back to the lobby and load in again. If you learn of any other solution, lmk!

I feel like I’m watching operatorDrewski or War is Hell this is such a good tutorial, though the beginning I found odd as you can just go to multiplayer, host, choose the Zeus game mode, make sure it’s on internet and not LAN and boom your anzues other then that which I found odd great video super helpful, can’t wait till you upload another Zeus Operation.

Hi Xyrage, Fantastic; to be sure, thank you so very, very much for this! I've played for hours and hours in Arma, both in scenario editor and multiplayer with friends. Having said that, I'm now moving into 'Zeusing', so this was just the tonic. I've checked out your uploaded video list; indeed, it may be my incompetence, but I couldn't find the follow up intermediate tutorial. With that in mind, is a follow up on the cards? Thanks again!

So you have to put the name of the unit and not just Zeus?

You can enter Zeus as a name. Just name the unit and the module the same. Alternative is going through ace zeus settings in addon settings and self interact.

Thank you, I am very late buying Arma 3. I've been experimenting with Zeus for SP and sandbox mode for me, this video just cleared up alot for me thank you. P.s. One question if you dont mind. I put a respawn point down, but when I die it ends the game and I have to load, or it takes me all the way back to Mission Editor. I am watching your other videos, but is Zeus not really meant to be used for the reason I'm using it? If it helps I am usually playing with OpFor units. Thanks.

Hello! I came across your video only recently and have been looking into scenario building for me and my buddies. your specific AI module doesn't appear for me regardless of how ive installed both the ACE and LAMBS setups/ you mentioned in another comment you use a modpack for your server. is their a separate mod you use for that module? also thank you for the concise explanations of the modules. saves me time from having to just figure it out myself

Thanks for your comment! The modpack we use in our community only adds equipment and vehicles, no modules to Zeus. Make sure you enable all addons (including unofficial ones) when using the game master module! Lmk if it works!

Hey, I'm new to Zeus but i am looking forward to making cool missions. For now i have only been zeussing on public servers and i don't see all those options that you have in the modules. Is that custom scripts? And if so what is it called. For ex. The Ace AI, ACE Arsenal Etc.... Very nice tutorial tho! have been looking at your missions alot to maybe get some ideas, keep it up.

okay, so i found out that you need something called ACE and ive seen many discussion on wheter you CAN or CAN't use this in public servers like EU#02 or EU#01 but no clear answer. Do you know if i can? and if i can, do the people on that server also need to have ace installed?

Hi! I play modded ARMA, public servers don't have mods. The server won't even let you in if you have any mods enabled. There's communities (like the one where I play) that have a list of mods they use, including the ones that give zeuses all those fancy modules making zeusing much better. If you like you can check out Sigma, see if it's something for you.

Hey man, great tutorial, but are there any ways on how I can turn Zeus ai into players with full squad commands or be able to switch from ai to ai with one button, or anyway on how I can make helis land and assign objectives to ai, if there is a tutorial you have about that, that would be great. That makes things a bit complicated. Switching with 1 button is not possible, go into zeus and control the next. Kunnen Helis sometimes need a helipad, you can use the invisible helipad to make them an lz. Another option is using the simplex support mod, really nice mod. Assign objectives to AI? You can make them do all the stuff in the list (double click the way point) with varying levels of success. There may be mods/scenarios to play what you're looking for!

How come when I go into Eden Editor, my player AI and other players' AI icons arent apparent. There's no way I can heal them or link groups to them. -(thanks in advance) UPDATE: I figured it out. I credit Valk for his help on the Steam forums. 1. Go to Attributes 2. Go to General 3. Scroll down to Misc. (Where you change the Independent allegiance) 4. Click 'Editable Objects (Zeus)' 5. Save. Can you control a group using Zeus that is already put in the map(group), before you start Zeus? Like, I put some random group, start the mission, acces Zeus and give commands to that group I placed before starting Zeus? I hope you will understand what I am talking about. Thanks😊

Also, i like LAMBS alot but if I load it in with mods, it doesnt let me remote control an Ai. Its like, when i try to remote control ai, il be in that ai's body but i do not have control over it and it still moves as ai.

To gain access to all modules from mods you need to enable addons (including unofficial ones). Also, some settings may be disabled through options>configure>configure addons>drop down to ACE Zeus, for example.

Quick question, I know this is a little late but when I go into Zeus, the little icon beneath my character and/or any AI or players do not show. I was wondering why, and how I could fix this? It's not too big of a deal, but it's a little inconvenient when trying to provide support and whatnot for my pals when I am in Zeus.

You'll need to add them to editable objects. There's a module "update editable objects", or RMB if you have Zeus Enhanced and click add objects.

The only thing I would do differently is just try to let the AI use the arty themselves a zues deleting some recon pos with a 150mm howitzer isn't fair

Depending on how you go at it, the AI is very inconsistent in the use of artillery. Lambs does a decent job with check rounds and fire-for-effect firemissions, but a lot of the times I'd rather have control over what's happening than leave it to the AI. In the end there's no "fair" in my book, the Zeus is there to facilitate for the players, make a fun mission. Obviously deleting a recon team with a 155 is no fun.

maybe I missed it but you didn't mention that your Arma is a modded version and not vanilla. For example without mods Zeus Enhanced and Eden enhanced all items are not editable straight up unless it's set in Eden (using Eden enhanced) or adding specific modules prior to loading the scenario.

Check if you have any mods loaded that could cause this. Also make sure you set up the game master module properly in Eden, enabling unofficial addons as well (although the AI tab should be base game). Let me know if you fixed it!

You can set it up so the host/admin can create zeus using the self interact menu from ACE. You should also be able to respawn and still have zeus, if you've set that up.

Less steep of a learning curve for reforger, but in its current state its less capable than what we have in ARMA 3. Obviously, as its been modded for many years.

What if you press Y when in zeus? It should put you back in your unit. Try adding the unit to editable objects.

Hi, to add units to your zeus interface, you need to "update editable objects". Search for that in the module tab. Let me know if that worked!

@@Xyrage bien, estuve probando, pero lo que mas resultado me dio (de acuerdo a lo que yo pretendia), fue pones un comando en el "init.sqf". Un bucle que agrega, cada 6 segundos, las unidades que se van generando. Lo que me gustaria saber es como limitar el control de Zeus sobre las unidades que no son del lado del jugador. Ya sea, single player o PvP. Tambien, pregunto, sera posible hacer que los iconos/marcadores (o como se llamen) de las unidades sean mas transparentes? Durante la partida, mas si es en una hora de poca luz, solo puedes ver una cantidad de circulos rojos, verdes o azules que ocultan por completo a las unidades. Visualmente resuce el juego a un table de fichas en un juego de mesa. Muchas gracias y una vez mas perdon por el idioma. Saludos

Not that I'm aware of, you can, however, save and SQF and execute that on the server again.

My PC is a bit overkill for this game, running a Ryzen 5 3600 and RTX 3070. Some guys I play with use GTX 970's and a decent i5 processor. Depending on your specs you'll have to turn down some settings, especially view distance is a big one.

Most mods will need to be run by all players. There are some client side mods you could run in addition to those. Anything with units, weapons or vehicles definitely needs to be run by all.

If you want players to control AI, you need to group the AI to the player. If that's not what you mean, try to explain.

Make sure you have ace loaded, and are enabling all addons (including unofficial ones) for Zeus. Let me know if this worked.

Just downloded Ace to make my own ops yet when I go to set up my AI there is no “Ace AI” section under my modules tab. Am I missing something or?

Make sure you enable unofficial addons in the game master module. If it's still not there check your addon options in your settings.

Hi, it could be that you haven't set your editable objects right in Eden, check under Attributes > General > Misc > Editable Objects (Zeus). @Art The Clown came with this in an earlier comment. Let me know if it works ;)

@@Xyrage By 'works' do you mean you just don't get any errors, or that they complement the features of one another? I think people often assume just because they don't get errors that they're getting the benefits of both mods (i.e. JSRS/Dynasound, etc), even though the mods are actually overwriting one another depending on where they are on the mod list.

Why you don't have an end-key? Because it's probably a compact keyboard without numpad. You could plug a keyboard into your laptop, that's what I used to do.

Things to try; Add units to editable objects through the "edit editable objects" module. Restart the mission Restart ARMA Take a look at your mods, see what might be causing an issue. Lmk if and which one worked 😉

If I wanna play zeus with friends frrom eden editor, I have to "place" their playable characters in eden, because they can't join otherwise. But in this case I am somehow not able to "edit" them as a zeus master (I don't see their icons in the zeus interface). Is there a way to fix this?

It's a bug, you need to add then to the Editable Objects. If that doesn't work, check your settings about editing players.

Verify your gamefiles before reinstalling and see if that fixes it, I don't think it's that kind of an issue, however. Like I said though, haven't had the issue myself, so don't know the exact solution. Sorry buddy!

What is unclear? To delete units select with LMB or click-drag, then press Delete on the keyboard. End will kill/destroy the unit. Lmk if this helped!
