This is an Arma 3 Eden editor tutorial on how to set up a prisoner escape scenario preventing Ai from shooting the player unless the player leaves the area or picks up a weapon.
Below are the trigger formats mentioned in the tutorial:
Trigger player starts in...
• Variable Name: dropgun
• Activation: Any Player
• Activation Type: Present
• Condition: this
• On Activation: player removeWeapon "arifle_MXC_F";
• Timer Values: Min: 1 | Mid: 1 | Max: 1

Trigger to join WEST...
• Condition: triggerActivated dropgun
• On Activation: [UC1] joinSilent createGroup WEST;
• Timer Values: Min: 1 | Mid: 1 | Max: 1

Trigger to detect if player has a gun...
• Repeatable: Tick the box (yes)
• Condition: !(PrimaryWeapon UC1=="") or !(SecondaryWeapon UC1=="") or !(HandgunWeapon UC1=="")
• On Activation: UC1 setCaptive false;
• On Deactivation: UC1 setCaptive true;

• Activation: Any Player
• Activation Type: Present
• Repeatable: Tick the box (yes)
• Condition: this
• On Activation: UC1 setCaptive false;
• On Deactivation: UC1 setCaptive true;

Once again... Simple, useful and highly configurable tutorial. I really think that this kind of, up to date, videos are more than welcome. Don’t want to lick anybodys bottom, but keep it up, mate.

Great video as always. A quick request, if possible do you have an example of simple scenario where AI is seated (on the floor or at table), with setCaptive true. Then when player approches within 2 meters, the AI standups and joins the player group as usual. The problem I'm running into is how to remove the Ambient animation (seated). Any tips are appreciated). Thxs

Thank you for the great tutorials, I am trying to adapt this to a group of 40 players playing as independent prisoners to blufor is there a way to have it as any indepedent spawning drops the weapon and joines blufor? rather than assigning each player a varible.

Quickest option would be to place the trigger under the spawn point

So i used the below to toggle so blufor wouldnt shoot at you Player Setcaptive true Player Setcaptive false and the below to remove all your gear on 2 triggers removeHeadgear player; removeGoggles player; removeAllItems player; removeAllWeapons player; But rather than effecting just the individual player, it effected the whole platoon of 30 people. I did not set it to run on server as I thought it should just run locally for each player. Anyone any thoughts how to have these just effect just the single player concerned that moves into the trigger?

You're doing good work here. You have a number of older Arma III editing videos that unfortunately I can't save because they are tagged as 'for children'. Could you please change the settings on those?
