Malaysian army uniform in this video are fairly accurate, with its tropical woodlands with today's newest changes that it's digit. And trust me, they don't folded it above the elbows unless they were not on duty. The rest are fairly okay with the PT-91M missing its DShK or M2 Browning machine gun. I can't say much about the equipment since I don't know much about it but Malaysian soldiers usually have their faces painted with green and black to match the junngle surrounding

Gonna highlight few inaccuracies in this video especially on the Malaysian faction as I'm a Malaysian. 1. Incorrect artillery piece. We don't use that US made MLRS. We use ASTROSS instead. Indinesia also have similar MLRS but with other variety such as soviet made BM71 if I'm not mistaken. 2. Standard issue rifle. In the video, the Malaysian use M16A2. Actually we use M4 carbine as our standard issue. The old M16A1 has already decommissioned since nearly a decade ago. But we also still use M16 with M203 (only for SIC in rifle section if not mistaken) 3. AV4 without turret. The actual AV4 have turret and equipped with M134D gatling gun or M2HB 4. BGM71 TOW. Actual ATGM used by Malaysian are mainly from Russia and Pakistan such as the Metis M and Bakhtar Shikan. While for the Indonesian side are mostly accurate except the M60 I guess. They do have M60 but I think their current GPMG is FN MAG similar to us.

Some things I want to point, especially on setting up the scenario. Lets say the air base is new and Indonesia purposely built it by the borders. As we can see, there’s at least 1 Sukhoi and 1 C-130. Deception is always part of warfare. The Sukhois are due to be replaced by either the F-15EX, Dassault Rafale, or Eurofighter Typhoon. Super Tucanos are also replaceable if you think about it. Indonesia has a good relationship with Brazil. To sell the ruse that Indonesia took heavy losses, they purposely placed replaceable equipment at the air base knowing it’s within Malaysian artillery range. Now as for the Tucano attack. They would’ve started with some dropping bombs at a high elevation. The rocket attacks would’ve come last to mop up survivors. Priority is the MLRS (Which should’ve been ASTROS II btw) so they would’ve been hit first. Next is the tank battle. Vehicles are accurate. Pandur II, Leopard 2A4 Revolution, and PT-91 Twardy. However, Malaysia uses the AT-13 Metis-M like Indonesia. Tactics is a different story. Indonesia isn’t like the Arab countries, sending tanks first and ask questions later. Realistically, we would’ve seen Indo SF scouting the area first, followed by drones and helos mopping up the Malay defensive line. Majority of those PT-91s would’ve been destroyed before the Leopards even see them. Still, the Leopard is superior to the PT-91. For the helicopter attack on the Malay convoy, Indonesia uses Hinds too. Should’ve been Apaches tanking out vehicles from long-range followed by Hinds getting close to take out survivors. Still, kind of accurate how terrifying the Apache is. There’s no response because they cannot respond. Indonesian ground troops are relatively accurate aside from the Kopassus uniform and the helmet. They’re trying to change the helmets to more modern and tactical ones. The ones you used for the Indo soldiers will only be seen in museums or in training in the coming years. Wish you would add the Indonesian Marines too. Having Leopard 2A4 Revolutions fighting alongside Pandur IIs, Marder IFVs, PT-76-90s, BMP-3Fs, and BVP-2s would’ve been a wonderful sight.

While our real soldiers from both countries work hand-in-hand risking their lives training to protect our region against the threats and developments in the South China Sea, gamers can at least 'train' virtually.
