I tried a couple different guides for this, THIS ONE ACTUALLY WORKS WELL. IT IS UPDATED TO WORK UP TO DEC 2022. Thank you again soo much. Also, for anyone who plays King of the Hill Servers, here's another little treat to try out while in game. Try shift F2. This will show a little mountain with a slash through it on the left center. It limits view distance down significantly to like 4-6 hundred meters. You can toggle it easily but could easily add significant fps, its not noticeable if your in the city. I dont even notice it unless I am flying. So, when I am, i quickly just toggle it off.

You're a life saver man! I was running 60 fps before and getting frozen if I got too close to planes and helicopters and basically anything too big for my game. Now I'm at a cool 90-100 FPS!

I also run this game with a reshade preset I use in most of my games. Makes the game more crisp and details more pronounced. In Division 1, it brings out the details in gear, one can almost see each individual thread in vests and clothing.

Finally built a pc but still need a graphics card. I've used this video in particular many times now to setup arma and it has always worked out. Good guide even if your still running a 1050 ti but everything else being new. this guides still worth following as it still improves your frames even if all but your graphics card is new. Definity do this.

Good stuff, thanks for the refresher, I had forgotten about the CPU, threads and those other settings. Recently upgraded to a 12700k and a 3080... ARMA plays like it should now haha.

Wow so I upgraded my setup and I was wondering why I had a frame drop... I feel dumb 🤣, thank you so much brother.

You can get a really substantial FPS increase by turning down the sampling rate. It does get a bit blurry that way but you can counteract that by turning up the Sharpen Filter. The filter is much cheaper than rendering at a higher resolution. Play around with different sampling values until you find a good balance between looks and fps boost.

So. It kind of worked. IDK if im the only one but I was able to see difference in FSAA settings. They aren't big but they were there. I personally think the bigger problem is that I only got 3 more Frames. Its better then nothing but im not sure if it's what i wanted because now im on 47 Frames form 60. I did keep Boll and Blur on because I like the "REALISM" of not seeing everything in a split second. But if that isn't the problem im not sure what will be. If you wound be so nice you could may help me out...

When i forst launch arma,Is there any diffenrece in running a game with launching the play tab” or can i just select a server under “servers”.

Hey man I need some serious help, whenever i try to do this my pc makes like a popping noise. Not that cool. I don't know whats going on but i cant do this. I'm using all the correct parameters and everything. EDIT: it seems to do this all the time regardless of settings, i guess i just wasnt hearing it before now. Weird. EDIT 2: after i made this comment it stopped making the sound.

i have a issue i can run a game with like small amount of bots but if i create a scenario like 30 bots i have from 80 fps to 12 30 i dont know what to do

Dynamic Light can decrease your FPS a bit. It will render the light sources around you and if you're playing in the big city and got low FPS, mind lower it a bit. Denser light source, lower this setting and it will get ugly also.

I have a ryzen 5 , which supposedly has AMD's equivalent of hyper threading, is it safe form e to use it anywayS? edit: it actually worked wtf, on singleplayer at least, yet to try on multiplayer but wow fps is finally endurable

I get anywhere from 29-33 FPS but I think my max can go 88 how do I get it to go that high?

pip should not be set to anything besides disabled, since it doubles cpu load (rendering frame twice)

Do these settings stay even if I was to launch through a3launcher

I'm having a few problems with this. After following the guide I can tell that the framerate increases from the ingame Video setting. The framerate count there shows way over 300fps while in the menu. But as soon as I enter the game, I'm down to 45-50. I'm running a RTX 3070 so I expect to be able to run at a much higher framerate than that. Anyone got any ideas?

just some FYI if you have HDMI 1 or 2 the max refresh at 4k is 100mhz...3.5K 3440 × 1440 (≈21:9) 30 Hz max 100 Hz you need a display port to get full 165hz

I was getting getting 70-150 FPS then since my driver update it dropped to 30-80 FPS lol any help ??
