I like how this DLC not only is expanding in an intelligent way the list of vehicles available making new variants of existingvehicles, but it's also re-implementing cut content like the AA-12. I fully expect the F-35 (another cut content) to be in the next update at this point
There seem to be a few new skins for vehicles, too. A pink skin for the Desert Offroad and up armored versions (may be for the CTRG „SAS“ style?). For the Box Truck a complete white and a yellow skin
Hi MotivatedBuilder, thank you for the kind words and yes, it's a relatively small channel as it stands which is why the amount of engagement surprises me. Love the fact that the channel has lower numbers but really decent interactivity.... another reason why the Arma community rocks!
I think comparatively (against the likes of SOG, GM, CSLA) your right, it wasn't pushed as much as one might expect. They might have been cautious after csla? I dunno really. It's a perfectly palatable cDLC at its price point which will no doubt go on sale again for a further bargain. Also, it might be owing to it being super focused 2035 content. Not everyone is a fan of the setting and/or desert.
Definitely the same chassis, maybe slight variations where it slopes down. So more of a variation than a new Vic I suppose. However it is nice to have options. The Marid HMG I can easily see it being used in "separatist" and rebel factions with reskins... hopefully Aegis takes advantage of the new toys as WS is already a dependency as it stands
Does all this new gear apply to the standard unmodified survival game mode that comes with the DLC like will I be able to get the new stuff off dead enemies?
Good spot, also a good question, it was on the patch notes as new and listed in the arsenal as a WS item. I'll follow this up when I get back from work.
Yes the light fatigues are a free item added with the tac ops dlc. The new light combat fatigues seem to have a little bit more ballistic protection (in virtual arsenal) and have kneepads
