Funny how they advertise Akizuki's stealth-fire capability as a feature when there are rumors flying around that WG wants to eliminate the ability to do exactly that.
My last game in Yamato got 281k DMG and 5 kills, and when the final dual against this Akizuki in smoke, I got torpedoed twice by the consumable and I didn't make it through the 2nd salvo. :(

Actualization 2020: -Cant shoot hiding in open sea for changes in patch, now need cover for rock or smooke. -Now isnot the torps more fast in the game, New Ships add in Game, now the Halland have the torps more fast.
O.M.G she already have 100mm twin high angler gun once you purchase meanwhile in kancolle you need to remodel her first so she can aquired this gun(normal gun 120/127mm twin gun mount)
One thing they conveniently did not mention is her 100mm guns are like pop-guns; HE spam seems fun until you realize hitting anything even remotely armored will be absorbed, meaning constant 0 damage volleys are the norm. AP is almost exclusively required to actually do damage to anything, even against destroyers.
eviltediz43 Akizuki was praised for being the best destroyer of the Japanese Navy. Her 100 mm guns were excellent AA platforms, and provided sufficient surface firepower. Although Shimakaze gets a lot of glory, Akizuki and her sisters were most definitely the most effective Japanese destroyer design. That being said, she wasn't the pride of the IJN. That title belonged to Yamato and the other battleships. Carriers too were well loved (especially the Shoukaku sisters)
The 4 carriers in the 1st and 2nd Carrier Division were also highly regarded in the IJN and by the Japanese people, as it composed of some of the IJN's most experienced flight groups and carrier crews. It's fame rivals that of the 5th Carrier Division, which mainly got its fame for the fact that they were much more modern and larger than the rest of Japan's carriers

Mantodeavideos T_T... A magazine is below deck not on the main deck. Depth charges are meant to be used. I could care less if I can use them as a trap for enemy ships that are behind me. *Drop depth charges in my wake and let the enemy's BB sail right into them.* or *Drop depth charges in my wake and alter course, then put fish into the water and force the enemy's BB into my depth charges.* or *Drop depth charges in my wake and put fish into the water but to where the ship would be able to dodge the fish but get caught in my net of depth charges I laid behind the fishes.*
Viktor Vincze just wait for 0.6.0's new Inertia Fuze skill. with it, Akizuki has the same penetration power as of USSR DDs' (21.7mm of armor). good luck for any DD trying to face this Ducky
Magni56 You know they could alter the main battery range. IMO based on what I've just read on Wiki, the supposedly Super Akizuki would be Tier10. Still, would hard to see this coming to the game as IJN have only few classes of gunboat DD
It's not OP. the guns are small enough that the HE only pens 16 mm of armor. That's less than most destroyers have at T8, so you have to use AP, but as soon as they angle, you're screwed.
More on that, Akizuki's DPS is only worth it with a full broadside, which is at a pretty shitty angle. With only two turrets for a front engagement, she really only hits for around 0~300 damage against angled DDs per salvo. Since she's also very large like the soviet DDs, she can't afford to be broadside for too long. She needs support to be effective.
Karulean TestAccount Akizuki's a mini Atlanta with less guns but better RoF, flat shell trajectory, HE shells that penetrate more than Atlanta's (with new inertia fuse skill), good concealment and no citadel.
wow... like literally... compared to the naval frontlines I played, it has subs but in World of warship it has carriers. both should have both subs and carriers
are you sure this Akizuki is DD hunter? while I play Kagero I only turn my back on him and free fire and watch his sheel can't do anything to my hp LOL. //oh I have Akizuki too boring to play while firing more than 300 sheel but damage nearly lower 50k LOL
Not neccesarily, they had decent AA but not radar guided, so it was less accurate. The reason why Akizuki has pretty good AA was because she was an AA DD in WWII
Joshua Nguyen their 12.7s that you normally see are quite crap. Short range, but with a good fire rate. The DP guns on DDs had a good range, but low fire rate and traverse and elevation rates. This though, the 10cm L65, can be considered one of, if not the best naval AAA in WW2. Very few other guns compare in rate of fire, range and accuracy. It sacrifices lots of barrel life and some explosive radius, but gains all this, together with a perfectly balanced mount, with good traverse and elevation rates, that could be fit easily in older 12.7cm gunwells. The only guns that can really compare are probably guns like the german 12.8cm, or the Italian 90mm, or the post-war 1950s 5" single mounted guns of the USN.
no...because the 100mm are use for the AA armement,and 100mm waste of time? i easily do 100k damage in game with her,she are a very good destroyer,become a monster with a good commander and are difficult to play
Edgar Baltazar if you don't grind a line simply because of the speed, you're wasting a ship with very good potentials. forget that Akizuki's a DD. Think that she's a CL with no citadel. that should help you.
