@@captainevans5840 The Germans and the British have the most experience with Battleship to Battleship engagements than any other country. And only size and armament doesn't matter, the training and capability of the crews are also very VERY important!!
@@moonreaps3753 I learned it the hard way when I played missouri and I ran into a großer kurfüst and lost Yeah.. it’s embarrassing to underestimate a ship
AA works for more passive playstyles when you have ships ahead of you, and secondaries is like yamato you either take them or you dont. Stealth build with secondaries is going to become the meta for this ship if they introduce the new captian perks and get rid of the tier 5 skills, meaning you build stealth and secondaries and just rip.
True, but the fact that some of them also get equipped with torps is just adding insult to injury. I know that they're trying to be historically accurate, but still.
you wont hit anyone with those torps aside from foolish battleship drivers that get to close to it. That said, the Großer Kurfürst doesnt even get its historically planned armament of 8 48cm guns and instead got those 12 40.6cm or 42cm guns.
ThePrussianGamer Still, giving them 6km torp range, the same as the German cruiser line is pretty ridiculous. And with their adamantium belt armor, it doesn't take much for them to just cruise along right up to you and torp you. As for the Kurfürst guns, yeah they just want to keep the Yamato as the only ship with the biggest guns, which is pretty damn stupid imo.
The moment you see 3 kurfurst in the enemy lineup and they're also in a squad ugh you're gonna wish you don't meet them at the first 5 mins when you're not using a bb
A person playing this shipped told me once, "I thought the yamato was nerfed, this bbs armor should stop a yamato." I replied with, "Bro... its a yamato... do these guns care about armor?"
This advice is terrible. Always go secondaries with german battleships and you will wreck anything that gets close. It is the only thing I flee from in my Yamato.
Ignore all that stuff they tell you about the skills and upgrades, get EVERYTHING that buffs the secondaries. Particularly IFHE. The Kurfursts 128 and 150mm secondaries with that skill are capable of penetrating all common armor on every ship. Enemies will MELT under sustained secondary fire. The reduced fire chance is worth the tradeoff, because penetrating HE damage can only be 50% recovered by repair party consumables, whereas fire damage can be 100% recovered.
Fact: The H-42 battleship was actually planned to have 8 480mm guns. But wargaming didn’t do it because the don’t want anything to have bigger guns than Yamato.
Fact: Grosser Kurfürst was a real ship, built in the early 1910s. König-class, 525' long. Real name, but the ship itself wasnt nearly as powerful as the game made it.
The Größer Kurfürst Was a project of the Kaiserliche marine but it wasn't named Größer Kurfürst it was called LA/1 it's planned sisterships were LA/2 and LA/3.There was a Größer Kurfürst Class but it was a autdated Frigate
Even I made a Kurfürst player think twice about attacking me in the North Carolina bow on. He had his broadside exposed to me but I came to him with my bow first. It was a cyclone at the time so I kept on closing the rang to around 5km. He was too late to think his second time about his exposed broadside as I hit his citadel 4 times in 1 salvo. That's 60k dmg right there.
AA built Cürrywürst? Good job Wargaming :3 Its AA its almost slightly average now. That was sarcasm btw. Go for secondary or the maingun accuracy folks.
Recommended set is standard...proceeds to ignore the phenomenal secondaries on this ship to specialize in AA that doesn't matter when you're the least maneuverable ship in the game. Stack every skill, signal, and upgrade that can help out your secondaries and you can win battles with them alone in this thing.
thank you wargaming for putting the final nail on the Montana. i was going for Montana due to the Sher broadside. she has 4 turrets and i like the sound of all of them firing and the fact that i can one salvo a ship. second is her AA, if i were a carrier and trust me i know i have been playing a lot of carriers and what i learn is to avoid the Montana unless she is alone and go for the yamato where she has a weaker AA but now she is just a tin skin gun platform so ya thank you wargaming. i was on the fence whether to go on the US BB line but now there no point anymore.
Fun fact: SMS Grosser Kurfürst WAS actually built, but it wasnt as large or powerful as in WoWB. It was a König-class ship, one of 4 sisters. As far as WoW and WoWB are concerned, Bismark should be t10, as it was in fact the epitomy of german power
The real Großer Kurfürst was a König-class dreadnought sporting 10 12" guns in 5 double turrets built in 1913. The german faction is full of historical inaccuracy...
Yups It could be H40 or H41... H42 might be is The Hindenburg, dont know about H43 but I heared that Germans thought of a Super Battleship H44, It was planned to have a Turret which had Even bigger Turret than the Yamato... But this scheme was too much for Germany for that time as they had to build other ships too plus The war already set free, Already the H39 and H40 was cancelled while being built As war, yeah.... But H44 was definitely Possible, But it Needed Germany to Win the war to build it quick or To wait like years to build it which was quite hard...
Don't listen to the AA modifications for German Battleships, you want to typically aim for a Main battery or Secendary battery build, the secendaries tend to be a good way to detour enemy cruisers and destroyers from getting one into torpedp range.
