I have bought the core set, was gifted another core set, and then bought several expansions for Imp and Reb factions. Thanks for insights in these videos. I have yet to play the game against another person (right now i play it againstyself to get an understanding of the mechanics before I play with a friend), and it seems somewhat overwhelming but man, you break it down nicely. You are gifted as a teacher, and i appreciate you taking the time to "pass on what you have learned".

I really appreciate these build/ship/commander guides. I've only recently started playing with a friend and we're both new to fantasy flight games. So, these videos have been great for helping us figure out some builds. I was lucky however and found a quasar buried in the back of a local game store collecting dust. Thanks again, keep up the great work =)

Imperial squads I'm really running right now are Dengar, Soontir Fel, Howlrunner, Mauler Mithel, Valen Rudor and Black Squadron. So much synergy. Paired with Flight Controllers and Instructor Goran. Heavy dice!

Thrawn was actually an advocate of the Scimitar TIE Bomber in the original Timothy Zhan novels.

As a VERY new player, I really must thank you for all of your Armada videos; it's making my life a lot easier narrowing down the builds I would actually like to try out! Shame the Squadron packs are so hard to get hold of though... that's the one thing my fleet lacks now. Any ideas why FF has let these packs get so impossible to find?

I've always been a firm believer that thrawn can probably keep you up all three of his command dials being Squadron or concentrate fire commands, for the pure reason of what you said, you're probably only going to have 2 to 3 rounds of actual combat so you can queue up your other commands as your utility commands like nav and engineering

Very courageous to propose a competitive list with a Victory. I like it a lot, but I can already hear the mob asking "why not just use a ISD?"

That works too but you'll have less ships, and/or less squadrons. Doesn't have to be THE bets list on earth to still be competitive, and I think the Warlord Title, plus disposable capacitors here give it a potential advantage over an ISD in some cases. Plus - I still have to be a LITTLE bit outside the box!

I haven't actually seen much of sloane lately. A lot of people think that the 3-ship sloane lists get tabled easily so they don't bother with her. Is there another kind of sloane list that's posing a huge threat?

I've been doing my best to find Thrawn a place in my lists but so far the only utility I find for him is to run one engineering two nav commands or plainly three nav commands while my ships are doing other things. It's efficient sure, but it's a bit frustrating that the master tactician of the Star Wars canon ends up being a carrier fleet admiral. I wonder if he'll find the SSD a new prospect, given that the ship might end up being hungry for nav commands.

The issue I have with this list is it does not have enough squadron value on your ships to push your squadrons.

I like the list. But now Brunson cost 4 points more and some rules have been changed. How would you alter the list to still be competitive? Would you stay with ships and squadrons and only change equipment, or would it be wiser to replace one or two of the squadrons or even a ship?

The empire really has some nice squads. I am surprised with all the squad strength in the semifinals and finals at worlds that we haven't seen imperial squads there. Is it maybe just because of the Yavaris double tap that we see Rebs? What do you guys think?

a quick question : Total Squadron value of ships is 8 yet there are 10 squadrons. So does that mean only 8 squadrons are activated per round?

Great build. I really like you videos. I just have one question. Who do you think is the best commander for an imperial build that is star destroyer heavy? I somehow ended up with three ISDs, including the Chimaera with Thrawn, for my birthday, in addition to the VSD in the core set, and I would like to make a build that can utilize as many of them at once, if at all practical. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

I know that they don't always update the status of where exactly a product is at in terms of printing and shipping. However, I believe X-Wing's Wave 2 and 3 are probably priority right now.

Any suggestions for fleets for teaching the full game as opposed to the intro scenario? I have 3 players about to learn the game in prep of a new CC campaign. And I have decided that intro scenarios are too bland to actually entice new players. Commanders, objectives and upgrades are too important to leave out when showing off how cool the game can be.
