Armada Demolishor (Random Review)

he is a self propelled anti air battery. missile based, by the looks of it.

his vehicle mode is a "Mobile Missile Turret"

I literally have been transforming him wrong since I got him at 5, I never knew you were supposed to turn the legs around.

Honestly my favorite armada toy. In a line full of compromises for gimmicks, he turned out really well.

I still have my Armada Demolisher. He gets the job done.

This is one of the first Transformers toys I remember owning. Still have it, missing two missiles and with some paint wear, and some damage on Blackout. Not an amazing toy by modern standards, but far and away better than a lot of his Armada peers.

At 16:30 or right around in there you said it. When I learned he only had the one launcher I bought a second one and took them apart to get two of those since with how his arms were, didnt matter what side they were on they looked exactly the same so I had two launchers and 8 missles. Made it easy to fire one and hunt ugnaughts with it xD

I have this toy, and it is one of the few who survived completely intact from my youth! Can't find the minicon or the missiles, but it's a cool toy.

Demolishor is a mobile weapon platform. Anyway, I LOVE the toy, and I LOVE the character. Defenitely my favorite Armada character.

The instructions actually referred to the right arm as "missile storage" so at least they knew it was weird.

In micron legend (aka the Japanese and original version of amada) demolishor is actually called Ironhide for those who don't know

Someone has probably pointed it out, but Demolishor is most likely supposed to be a SPAAG (Self-propelled anti-air gun) like the Russian 2K22 "Tunguska" or the like (German "Gepard" and so on). If you look at a picture of a Tunguska there are several similarities. It has missiles but also autocannons just like Demolishor. Though Demolishor looks like it could be a Cybertronian SPAAG if anything, because it certainly does not resemble any vehicle on earth. The chassis itself does bear some likeness to the T-55 though.

So... anyone else see this figure and think "That could be a nice Autobot Flame." No? Well when you're looking for potential, obscure repaints but you've only learned of the character via the TF Wiki, you come up with these things. XD

I had this toy as a kid. I always thought he looked like a tank from Metal Slug

I'm pretty sure this is some kind of Anti Air craft tank. I'm near 100% sure i've seen something like this in advance wars

Hey TJ, I just bought that Demolishor off your eBay page. Can't wait for it to arrive in England so I can put it with my Energon Cyclonus and Tidal Wave figures...

Demolishor is a simple program. {if[see-autobot]then[explodecityblock]}. Still, you can’t argue with the decepticon annual performance review.

The only reason for that storage spot/ejection port on Demolishor was because all the decepticons had to have some way of storing the minicon when they wernt using them for their action feature just look at taidal wave, optumus, cyclonus and megatron.

I like my repaint ver of him from the Energon line, Green, purple, black and grey. He is a good figure and i like him.

Demolishor's face sculpt is awesome. Transformers are rarely so expressive looking.

1:00 NO. He is an Anti-Air vehicle with TEN MACHINE GUNS slapped onto the GIANT DOUBLE-BARRELED *CANNONS!*

He's a prototype ADATS (Air-Defence Anti-Tank System), but with the H Tank theme going on in the front, and oversized missiles. Just look up "ADATS" on Google images :3 (Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I've lived 12 years of my life not knowing what the heck he is, and I just found out like 2 months ago.)

I'm definitely getting this guy.

i got a kick out of that ketchup bottle statement, i loved this figure when i was younger always loved the "tank" mode

i had the energon version of this toy, and i always assumed that the embankment mode was more for use on a cliff where he could anchor himselfand get a better angle to fire missles from. i also imagined it as a SPIDER walker. yeah. i was dumb

Although a bit limited in articulation, overall I really like him. He's on my shelves right next to my PC. *Pulls off shelf and plays with him*

you can make him look like a metal gear take by halfway transforming his legs only,but leaving them slanted a bit

This guy looks like a soldier robot, btw, i think they were planning a double shoulder missle launcher but they rejected the idea to save money

Great review!!! I never owned this as I wasn't collecting during the Armada days. But I absolutely love the look of him and his Energon repaint. BTW great I'll form the head Voltron reference weather intentional or not. Keep up the great reviews.

he is probably actually a mobile anti aircraft unit rather than a tank. look up the PGZ95 and imagine an over the top version of that with STA missles

The Takara version has his face brown rather than black, it's way better in the actual show!, he also has a energon and cybertron repaint.

I always saw red alert as a bad figure. Megaton (after removing the batteries), tital wave, and the majority of the minicons, in my opinion are good armada figures.
