I kinda like the one that is a wolf and transforms into a werewolf looking mode. the others with this aesthetic just look bad but for a wolf transforming into a human it works because of lycanthropy. if you weren't into animorphs that toy on its own would be a cool werewolf toy.
the ones that are awful are the ones that have the "gloves" that partform when you transform. those were very hard to keep track of. i had the tiger one because i liked tigers, but i lost the forearms shortly after i got it. i only kept it in tiger mode but those stupid arm gloves are easy to lose
To be fair, I kind of like the design and color scheme. It's just that the figure is terrible. If they remade it today, I'd probably buy it, even if it was just another Siege Megatron repaint.
They are actually named *'Frenzy Rumble'* & the other is *'Rumble Frenzy'* There's also *Rumble Rumble* Orange-ish~Yellow & *Frenzy Frenzy* that's Green
I agree from an adult fan pov that the episodes in question were not the series best, but my 3 and 6 year old nephews (as we know is the target audience) LOVE TF:EARTHSPARK! I also love this show, for better or worse. Makes me happy to know that my nephews are into my favorite hobby. I have so much fun teaching them about the history of TF and helping them set up battles!! Great times!!!👍
One of my most hated tropes is characters suddenly turning into unobservant dumbasses just so they don't notice something blatantly obvious. Which is pretty much every imposter or body swap episode ever because the writers think far too little of the viewers' intelligence.
Earthspark has been downhill since ep 1. This show is not good. I want TF as much as anyone but a bad show is a bad show, call it what it is or they'll keep making more of it....just look at Star Wars!
Season 1 of Earthspark is fantastic, one of the best pieces of TF media we've ever had and I'll continue to cherish it forever💙. But its not just these episodes but season 2 in general really fumbles in the execution, and I'm not just talking about the animation but oh boy visually it looks BAD (like seriously what happened with the animation?!?! it looked SO GOOD in season 1😭) Earthspark was done so dirty with this season. The show's treatment in general was done so dirty.
I don't mind the body swap trope. Just because something is a trope doesn't inherently mean it's bad. That said... I pretty much already knew they switched bodies from the end of the previous episode. It wasn't any big surprise and there is one HUGE glairing issue with the characters in this series that make it so the body swap shouldn't even work. Transformers Animated also did this with Wasp and Bumblebee but that episode actually works. The problem with Earthspark is that we're dealing with characters who SHARE A MENTAL LINK! Yeah they tried to explain away why that mental link wasn't working but it still doesn't work. We also find out in this episode that the Chaos Terrans also share a link with each other. They don't have that link with the Maltos but Aftermathmath when he first meets Twitch as Spitfire tells her "I felt your spark when it first came online." And this is presented as how he knew she was there but it's followed by also telling her that he can't actually feel her anymore. This is presumably because it's not really Spitfire that he's talking to so if he was tracing his link to a fellow Chaos Terran shouldn't that have lead him to the real Spitfire in Twitch's body? For the same reason even if they blamed the lighting severing Twitch's connection to the other Maltos cause they don't know she's Spitfire wouldn't the real Twitch still have that connection after their switched? Because of the whole shared link thing that these characters have a body swap should never have worked because they'd just instantly go oh my link is with Spitfire now they must have swapped bodies. Spitfire might have been able to fool the Autobots who don't share the mental link but the Terrans should have just inherently known about the Body swap the second it happened. Unless they really did lose that conection when the body swap happened in which case how does Aftermath know to find Spitfire if his connection to her also severed when the body swapped happened? And Dude Where's My Trailer... was kind of funny but not laugh out loud funny. The running joke of the valve cap I wouldn't even really call a running joke, it was a set up to a punch line at the end of the episode where that's the only thing Optimus notices and I would have hated it if it didn't have that pay off at the end. It is a totally skipable filler episode but I didn't hate it. I will say it could have been better if the stakes where higher. Like if it wasn't just for a photo shoot and there actually was something important inside the trailed but we're never actually given any clear reason why the Decepticons even want it. They just seem to go after it because it MIGHT contain something but they go to a lot of trouble for an uncertain reward that might not even exist so what's the point?
I agree with you on Autobot City. It screams for a titan release. On a side note, if Broadside was released as a titan, what Hasbro should do is have a GI Joe crossover by making the aircraft carrier mode be the USS Flag and the giant aircraft mode be the huge Cobra airship base shown in the Revenge of Cobra mini-series of GI Joe G1. That would have customers buy two or three broadside for different alt-modes for display. Also, Broadside would be a good Autobot counter rival to Tidal Wave.
I wish we could just get another show like Prime or Beast Wars with a good story and a war between the autobots and decepticons again . I feel like the 1st season we had good stories because we had a main villian threw out but in this show the decepticons are made to look like idiots so aren't a real threat so before they get to the final few episodes with the big battle they got 0 ideas till then . I actually glad the show is ending which I wouldn't have said last season
As much as I dislike Season 2, The Imposters is probably the best episode out of the series. Yeah yeah it uses a tired trope (that honestly is the season's least egregious downsides) but I loved how Twitch used this opportunity to mess with the cons. Yeah the stuff with Spit and the family was generic but I'm just happy we had an episode where it wasn't just forgetting what happened in the previous episode. Wished I could say that about Dude Where's My Trailer lol
10:32 Surely there's no reference to a forsaken media among the pictures. Surely no, no such media like that exists. The worst we got was Beast Machines, nothing more scarring.
I hate it because of the bad acting. It's like part of the script says "ACT POORLY, BE OBVIOUS" At least they didn't voice swap, but the tones changed. So they're still doing good

Question: Since Hasbro seems to be unable/ unwilling to use the name Convoy outside of Japan, what do you think they would name Big Convoy should he (fingers crossed) ever get a new figure? My money is on Mammoth Prime
One thing that I think you missed was construction. Rather than the bodies being die cast, Gobots generally had Die Cast in the important places...the joints. Meanwhile, Transformers could easily break in a joint, and thats the entire toy. I miss my gobots and wish I hadn't ditched them when I was a kid.
I wouldn't say Leader ROTF Prime doesn't do any cheats. There is one. The red blocks that are below his windshield are suppose to be the nose of the truck going through his abdomen. The actual nose of the truck becomes panels on his forearms. But because it involves mass-shifting to get them small enough to fit inside there without sticking out either side of his body, it would be an actual miracle of engineering to accomplish it, and I don't think they can do that now, let alone in 2009.
ROTF Optimus Prime still reigns as the ultimate movie Prime, even above the Masterpiece, there's a reason they kept redecoing and retooling it, it's still breathtaking to see it going from one mode to the other. Imagine if the first release had had the premium deco and gas tanks that turned into a gun from the Buster version or if they hadn't cut the articulated fingers, compressable tires and folding pieces on the legs, if it had come out with its FULL potential, we as a fandom may have just all collapsed on the spot, the franchise couldn't recover from peaking THAT HARD.
