I mean Fundamental difference in design doctrine. RN CV's had to operate close to land based Airfields so had to be able to weather attacks from both larger and more aircraft, while USN CV's had to operate far from major landmasses so were designed to maximize Hanger Size and such.

The British were the most badass during ww2. Change my mind. Fighting alone from 1940 to 1942.

Kamikaze manages to punch a hole through British carrier deck, its out of action for weeks. Kamikaze does it to American deck, its back in the action in a week or three days in the case of USS Yorktown. If you haven't seen the new movie Midway I strongly recommend. it is the most historically accurate warfilm I've ever seen. Cherrio, good chaps for your CVs were great your air planes for them were crap or in later war scary.

I think it means sister ships in the illustrious class irl not other ships in the game

Dont worry, they give you unlimited aircraft.... you wont run out.

@@STARZFAN31 the restoration time makes it so that if you get deplaned you won't be able to launch squadrons, or at least of more than 1 or 2 planes. So while technicallu yes, aircraft are infinite, no, you can't just bump em out.

@@Scy416 Azuma done and for the lack of oil struggling to farm for Kita, only 71% on the first 1M part. I'm giving the oil a rest so can farm the remaining in two or three days using basically Azuma + Yuubari Kai + Ibuki. Expensive fleet but makes 12-4 very fast

32mm pen on bombs, with rockets less. These planes will shred everything except BBs.

That's the cost of having armor on your carrier. Don't complain, idiot. Everything has its own plus and minus.

Ah and more armor on deck->higher chance for getting penned by AP bombs and shells as the armor on is not 400mms of steel...

@@estoyaqui5386 As far as I know the penetration capability must be higher than the armor threshold in this game. That means you need at least 33mm of penetration on bombs to pen 32mm of armor. I'm not sure about it though. I hope at least it can do well against DDs and CEs.

I prefer historical plane that actually serves on carrier.

I really want tier 10 preimum CVs that will alter the gameplay for the CVs like the graf zeppelin does in T8.

I wouldn’t mind the old cvs brought back as premium from the tech tree. But t10 cvs don’t bring any economic gain and since if your t8 and can get up tiered to t10 I’d rather just stick with t8 prem cvs

@@jhettm.4286 You do get better XP and Credits but I really cannot enjoy bot-tiered CV plays after the latest "balanced" AA system. When you have T8 planes, attacking anything on T10 surface ships is mostly frustrating on CVs side. And if the T10 CV is premium, they can give it an extra -50% of post battle service perk on the permanent camo coming with the ship which makes it even better.

I heard there was an American officer of reasonable rank on board at the time and he commented something along the lines of, "when one of our carriers gets hit by a kamikaze it's back to port for a long repair, when a British carrier get hit by one it's a case of 'sweepers man your broomsticks'" Or so the story goes

The bombs can still damage the 19mm superstructure plus fires hurt BBs way more than any other class

@@lordredlead2336 they should be the fastest because they have low health, the indominatables planes don't even need to be as fast because they are stronger and harder to shoot down unlike the Graf's planes that is why the Graf should have the fastest planes!

Saipan is a great ship if you are out of planes then your using her wrong. late game can get rough but i've very rarely been deplaned in her.

FrycoN Saipan is leagues better than this steaming pile. What a waste of development hell this ship is.

Saipan is incredibly strong at its tier and ridiculous at top tier, with that said even at tier x she's a pain for all ship classes. She's a mini midway. I actually find it easier to get deplaned in GZ than saipan.
